Loved the chai milkshake with a, shot of espresso. Prices were reasonable on most things but occasional items were a bit much.

Some of the best coffee in Humboldt. Offers a stamp card and mints. Have never had a bad drink here– milkshakes, lattes, and cold drinks have all been great.

Went in today on my 15min break thinking that would be plenty of time since there was only two people In front of me I ordered a 20oz mocha and a 16oz white chocolate mocha… waited over 20min to get my drinks and I was late back to work from my break. But to top it all off 3 – 4 people who were behind me got their drinks before I did… Seriously? It takes 20min to make my drinks but 3minutes for your regular customers? To me that is incredibly rude! It’s first come first serve! Just because the baristas know the people who come in often doesn’t mean they should get their drinks first and make other customers wait longer for their drinks when they got there first!!! definitely never going back again and the coffee is mediocre at best, nothing to rave about.

This is for the drive thru location located across from the Best Western Arcata Inn on Valley West Blvd. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. TOTALLY DISGUSTING.
Ordered an Iced Latte, but I didn’t order the 2 flies One of which got sucked through my straw. The second I found floating on top. Can’t get any grosser.

Good coffee as others said. However there is something maniacal about a coffee place without a restroom. It’s like a gym without a water fountain or an airplane without windows – something integral, inherent, even, to the product – is lacking. There should be a law that if you’re selling diuretics you should give the masses somewhere to micturate.

The location is convenient, yes. And since the location is small there is little seating, which is okay. My drink was not too sweet and made quickly (Tea au Lait). But while sitting at the only chair there I got to hear the manager brag about his three-​day weekend coming up, and then argue about the merits of Lady Gaga with his staff as the radio blasted.
I don’t know about you, but this is extra annoying. Some people can block out distractions better than others, true. But personally I will always plan to take my drink to go.

Good strong coffee; can’t beat the prices compared to corporate coffee. They even have good sweets to go with your coffee.

Needed a quick coffee pick me up before hitting the road. So my husband and I chose this little shop. The downtown area is really cute with a square in the center. The drinks not to bad. Both my husband and I ordered the Mexican Mocha. He enjoyed his a little more than I did, but it was still tasty.

It’s nice to get back to the hometown once in a while. While walking around the plaza, I stopped here with my mother. Nice little atmosphere, and the black coffee did the trick!

Though I have to search a block or two for parking most times (no real biggie), they don’t have tables (and tell you to leave the stools they have in 20 minutes… I have at least always gotten a stool) and they don’t have any quality pastries (or a bathroom, but I don’t usually need one). I have updated my review to reflect their consistent quality delivered, kind customer service, and yummy menu that changes with the seasons. They don’t have almond milk, but they have soy :) The main reasons I go to Jitter Bean are that they are open earlier and later than some other places in town, they do big (20 oz. drinks), they are fairly quick, they are clean, they are friendly (but not too friendly as I previously stated before and not as fake as Starbucks… they are also cheaper than Starbucks), and they are good quality at a good value TO-​GO. They are the only place I go for to-​go coffee in town really. They are the go to people for to-​go coffee. They have stamp cards for frequent buyers (10 stamps gets u a free one) too which I appreciate. I am sure if you commute in Humboldt County it is nice to have so many Jitter Beans to use your stamper card at too. (There are 3 others in Eureka and 1 in Fortuna). I am glad I can at least walk into this one though. I wish they were more consistent with giving out Andes chocolate mints to everyone though. I always feel left out :(I like the colorful cups… most company’s are drab in comparison.

Convenient and friendly — nice dry cappuccinos and tasty drip coffee.

We stopped in the town of Arcata for a little coffee jolt and a walk around the square. This place seems to be new amongst the old architecture and places to go around the plaza.
I ordered a Mexican Mocha with little whip. It was really good and sweet, so no additional sugar was needed. I love the little dancing bean logo, put a smile on my face when I got my drink.
They give you an Andes Chocolate Mint with your coffee beverage and were very friendly. What’s not to like? ;)

Drinks are fine, staff is sometimes snotty.
