It was a really cute and relaxing place. The water in the tubs is too deep for me to sit, but it was nice to stand in there. I think they should charge per hot tub instead of $ 10/person. It’s too expensive to go often or even semi regularly. $ 5 for 30 minutes makes more sense. I’d come back weekly if they lowered the prices.

Amazing. I love their secluded hot tubs on a cold night drinking a Chai Tea. Staff are amazing. Although make sure you order before getting all wet.

I love this place. You can get all sorts of coffees and teas and then go for a soak. And there’s often music there as well. As good as it gets.

The outside of Café Mokka looks like something out of a fairytale. When you walk inside the ambiance is warm and inviting. It’s small venue but there are books, magazines and games to play while you sip delicious espressos and mochas. Make sure to have cash on you, they don’t take card but the stop to the bank is worth it for Café Mokka.

I really enjoyed my iced coffee and pastries that i brought with me to the tubs. The baristas were very very friendly! I’m coming back for the chocolate covered Napoleon!

Cute little coffee shop, but the real attraction of this place are the hot tubs. It’s perfect if you plan on a relaxing evening with a hot cocoa and a soak. A half an hour is usually long enough for me, but sometimes an hour is good too. You must make a reservation. Tip: Bring a towel. Fun fact: Although it’s also called the Finnish Hot Tubs, they really don’t have hot tubs(like we know them) in Finland. It’s not a thing there. Saunas on the other hand *are* a really big deal there.

This place is so relaxing. The hot tubs are really private and clean. There are private showers and private changing rooms too all connected to your hot tub. I’ve never tried the sauna. They only take reservations 24 hours in advance and always seem to book up. It is imperative that you are on time(10 minutes early) to your reservation or else you will lose time you paid for. This place has magical grounds at night complete with low lit paths and a pond with frogs ribbeting. Be careful not to fall in :) The drinks are good and so is the live music. Only cons are that they don’t have a lot of room, especially on live music nights, so you should get there early to get a seat. I’m also not a cat person, and they have one that comes and sits on your table(kinda gross). I love playing Scrabble here with a comforting beverage. They have no WiFi fyi. You can rent towels and eucalyptus oil for the saunas. Private lot parking and street parking aren’t a problem.

What if I hadn’t been tipped off to the existence of this magical creation in the heart of Downtown Arcata? I would have left feeling so differently about my quick visit to this already very cool town. Real, classic Finnish hot tubs, a wonderful garden, sweet and helpful staff all in an honest to goodness coffee house? If only every town had a spot like this, we’d all be healthier and happier and get along better. Thank you for existing, so glad I found you!

Love the way it’s set up. Laughed when I heard it’s called the soake n poke. If there’s an issue they are quick to fix it and make sure everyone is happy. Best place I found to soak when I’m in pain. And reservations are easy enough to make. Clothing optional in tubs/sauanas. Can’t wait to return again.

This place is amazing. I come here every time i visit arcata. This place has so much to offer. You can get a few baked good, coffees(their mochas are so damn good), they have tables so that you can read or study, and occasionally you get live music! Thats all apart from the main attraction– the hot tubs. The outdoor area is so beautiful. Theres a lovely pond with frogs that sing at night. Your hot tub is secluded and just the right temperature. I wish there was a place like this where i live. Its also very reasonably priced, and the staff are always pleasant and helpful. Café mokka will continue to be a spot i frequent every time i visit arcata.

An interesting café with a very relaxed and chill environment, with excellent drinks, limited tasty snacks and friendly staff that make you feel welcome. Lots of quiet places inside around the fire and out back around the pond to sit and relax. This is a Cash only business, so don’t bring plastic. You can book soak or steam times as well everyday, up to 24 hours in advance and times are booked in half hour increments. Starts the day late(11 am) and stays open even later til midnight and later on the weekends. This place has a unique vibe to it that makes you feel comfortable as soon as you get inside. Kind of like taking a step back in time. Been here a few times now — the wife got me the«ten pass» for soaks and steams — a great way to let the stress(if there is such a thing here) of the day go away. Well worth a stop and a visit. And another one of those cool things about Nor-Cal… 254

Small, homely place. Nice coffee(small servings though). The owner/servers were very friendly and warm. The architecture of the building is awesome– like a house out of fairy tale story. Loved the scones and cookies!

What a beautiful, magical place. There is something truly special about café mokka. The atmosphere is amazing, with outdoor wooden hot tubs in an enchanted forest. The drinks are great as well, although if I had it my way they’d sell a little more food– it’s nice to have something to eat after a hot tub. I have been coming here for as long as I have lived in Arcata and have never been disappointed by any aspect of this business.

A little pricey, but the quality of all of the drinks are top-notch. Cozy, quiet atmosphere — great place to study or read. I subtracted a star for the lack of WiFi.

The coffee here is strong for my taste, but I love the mixed coffee drinks and LOVE the atmosphere. My son says when he grows up he wants to have his wedding at Café Mokka. Sitting inside or out, it is an absolutely lovely place to catch up with a friend or read a good book. A hidden gem for sure :)

Very special little place in Arcata, Been going for over 10 years… sometimes the service can be less than desired…(sort of sleepy /stonyness) otherwise the tubs are clean, the grounds are well manicured and its an all around lovely expierence!

After backpacking in the Redwoods, we were in search of some coffee and wifi to reconnect into the world. Then we found this place and I completely forgot about wifi and coffee and immediately inquired about a hot tub. They have private hot tubs available for rent!!! Done and done, $ 9/half hour. We walked across the quaint pond with little frogs jumping around and entered a rustic oasis. Clean tubs, everything is made out of wood and ours had a tree growing in the middle, plants galore. Turns out this is a Finnish bathhouse, well they know what is up! If I live anywhere near here, I will be back in the future!

Café Mocha is the gosh darn CUTEST place I’ve ever set my eyes on. Whether you’re looking for a soothing hot tub soak, a cleansing sauna experience, or just a cozy café atmosphere, look no further. Firstly, CM is incredibly affordable. Its $ 9 per half hour in the sauna or the hot tub – and believe me, you really don’t need any more time than that! Unless you’re set on making yourself into a hot potato. It gets quite hot. The saunas and tubs are of Finnish design, so they look rustic and smell of fresh wood. They’re all sectioned off and offer great privacy and a dressing room with a shower . As for the actual café, you should really try their hot chocolate with house whip cream. Before I kick the bucket, I should like to have one last cup of their infamous hot chocolate. It’s that good. If your there at the right time, usually Friday and Saturday nights, they have traditional music with live local musicians. So fun! And they stay open late. By far my favorite place to take family and friends when they visit Humboldt.
