food is okay when the burnt tar isn’t on ur noodles so don’t come at night. come in the morning for less burnt stuff in your food! the only employees that are nice are the ones that cook your noodles. the cashier and the«noodle applier»(I guess idk? person that stacks the noodles and sauces) look miserable and annoyed and are often rude. the price is okay for the amount of food you get but kinda taste bad so not really worth? and credit min is $ 10

Mongolian bbq is my absolute fave food court grub. The outcome of deliciousness is primarily in your control. You choose all of the contents of your order through a salad bar like setup. The food attendant at the end assists you with your choice of seasoning. Then the cook at the grill stir fries your meal. So why 2 stars? It seems so difficult for your meal to not meet expectations when, after all, you chose all of the ingredients. Well, maybe said grill cook was too light on the flavored cooking liquid and heavy on the water. My meal was practically flavorless. I asked, and watched, the food attendant layer every single seasoning available. BLAND. I asked for my food to be spicy and the only heat was from the steam off it being fresh from the grill. I feel like a fast food restaurant that has a ton of passive aggressive signs to tell customers silly rules like«don’t talk to the grill cook» and«pick your food fast but don’t pile it high» is one blaring red flag that the joint has no customer service. Even McDonald’s employees smile at their customers and they charge $ 2.00 for their food as opposed to this locations $ 9 for an entrée. Will I go back to this location? Never. But the Mongolian bbq at Brea mall is the best. You should go there when in the area.

Not happy. I’m allergic/intollerant to beef. I told them my food can’t touch beef. I saw the person in front of me had tons of beef… So not only did they not clean the grill for me, they rolled my food all over the same area they were coming the beef. And each time I tried to tell them it can’t touch beef, they ignored me. No more.

Love this place! This is one of the more healthful options in the food court and reasonably priced. I get beef, all the veggies, all the sauces except no spicy and extra garlic. Make sure that you arrange your meat carefully so that you have enough room for everything else!

If I could give this a –1 rating, I would. I was going to ask for more noodles but just before I even got to speak with the lady, the cashier man ran up to me and GRABBEDTHEBOWLOUTOFMYHANDS and told me I got too much. I didn’t at all! The lady even dropped some of my ingredients as she put sauce on it. I saw so many fall on the table. It was incredibly rude of him to grab the bowl out of my hands. He did NOT have to do that. Don’t go back here. There are so many other delicious food places right next to it that are better priced with better service. This place is a joke — horrible service and overpriced. Not going back here EVER.

I’ve been dieting but and have made great gains in losing weight! But I figured that Thanksgiving is tomorrow, so i might as well start my cheating now. I love me some Mongolian BBQ but this is probably my least favorite of the Mongolian BBQ establishments that I’ve dined at. Don’t get me wrong, it was good but a little more bland than other similar places. It tasted like it was a little more sterile and not in a good way, if that makes sense. Also the staff here is very friendly with the exception for one woman. I went through the process, got my food and felt like it needed more of a kick after tasting it. When I went back to the cash register to get some hot sauce, the lady who was previously in front of me in line, was trying to purchase a drink. I use the word«trying» because it took five minutes for her to communicate to the staff as neither party spoke English even approaching proficiency. When I finally got to ask the lady for my sauce, she looked at me like I had asked her to skin her puppy alive, she gave me the dirtiest look ever. She wasn’t the same lady I had paid several minutes earlier, so maybe she thought I was some random guy in need of hot sauce who purchased food elsewhere in the food court. Next time, lady, just ask! I’m sticking to Chicken Now or Chipotle when I find myself at this food court again.

Growing up in Arcadia, eating great khans allows me to reminiscence about the good old days. I can honestly say that this particular Great Khans sets an entirely new standard for mall food. When the common populace thinks of mall food courts they usually associate it with American fast food such as burgers and hot dogs, but great khans on the other hand is on an entirely new level. People tend to complain about the most minuscule things; I like to review restaurants solely on the quality of their food and it’s safe to say Great Khan’s food is worthy of five stars.

The meal itself without a drink is around $ 10. I used to eat at places like this during college on a student budget and have mastered building the perfect bowl so that there is room to put plentiful noodles on top without it falling. Problem is they give you the noodles n they barely give you any. All other Mongolian stir fry let you stack your own noodles so you can relish on how well you put together your bowl. Not this place.. Food is decent tho.

This place is located in the Santa Anita Westfield Mall. I wanted something stir-fry, so I figured this place would hit the spot. It was meh-okay overall. The bowls, like most Mongolian BBQ places, are always way small. I have never had the talent to stack these things like a champ so my ratios are always off from what I actually envisioned. I wanted a lot of broccoli but could only balance so many on top without pressing down to accommodate, which of course is forbidden. The downside, besides the bowls, is the fact that no one speaks fluent English. If you get the #1, it’s simply the meats and veggies thrown in a to-go box. If you get The Works(#2), it’s the previous item with rice and soup included. Finding it odd that rice is not included I asked the lady if rice comes with the #1. She said, «yes» but didn’t give me rice. I asked her for my rice and she just nodded, «yes.» I had to point to the rice pot and she then gave me some rice and charged me extra. So… rice is NOT included with the #1. And«yes» will be the default answer to almost anything you ask. Second, the sauces and condiments are served by the staff. I kept wanting the sauce lady to give me more but she poured in half servings of the sauces and condiments, leaving my plate kind of flavorless. I’m also certain the sauces are watered down. My meal was a little above $ 11. I suggest just going to a sit down Mongolian BBQ restaurant to get your money’s worth. At least you can add more flavor to your dish instead of being at the mercy of the frugal employees. See my uploaded picture. Pretty unappetizing.

This is always my favorite food to eat after going to Gold’s Gym… I love it here coz i can just get all the meat or veggies that i want from their selections. I just need to fit it all on my bowl. Service is fast and the food is freshly cooked in front of you. Yum yum

The food here is actually really good. Although he brisket is frozen, the food is actually, in my opinion, of quality. However, there is a bit of MSG as I get pretty thirsty from eating this food. However, I saw something that disgusted me to my stomach. I was in the restroom washing my hands and one of the employees for great khan was in the shitter(I know this because he walked out the stall with uniform on). He walked to the sink and ran his hand under the water for maybe a second and walked out. No soap, no scrubbing, none of that. I followed him as I was wondering why the hell did he not wash his hands; he went straight to the big grill and started cooking people’s food. WHATTHEFUCK?! I understand he might have been in a hurry but to NOT wash his hands and HANDLE food, that’s sickening. Maybe I’m a little uptight about sanitation, but when I see someone that works with food not maintain basic sanctions, that’s disgusting. Never, ever, eating here again.

Really good place to go to if you are looking for some heavy flavored Mongolian food. Its a pick what you want kind of place, so they give you a bowl to pick out however much meat and vegetables as you want and then cook it up with noodles and their special sauce. Its really good and filling

Love their food usually. Was excited to eat the food but was given half the amount as what other people got. The food was also saltier with more soy sauce taste than usual.

2015 Unilocal100CHALLENGE — 018⁄100 Like many others have said, this place is very similar to the other mall-chain Mongolian places. Their prices have steadily increased, it’s close to $ 11 for a bowl and drink. But you get to add your own veggies and the portion ends up being more than enough. Food here is really good, but presentation is horrible. It’s just a mess in line while adding your veggies and meat. No body was cleaning up, and at the end of the buffet style line, there was a pile of trash/veggies/liquid all over the counter. Horrible. I get that it’s mall dining, but there’s no excuse for the sloppy dirty counters.

Normally I love this place, but today is a different story. The guy at the cashier is terrible. He was really rude to a customer who had brought her food back because the cooks mixed her ingredients with another who had spicy chili in theirs. It was too spicy with her and all he did was turned around and tossed it in the trash can. Then he was super rude the the lady in front of me. Then my turn, i didn’t notice a minimum on credit cards, he pointed to it instead of communicating with me that there was a minimum. Rude… As i was putting veggies in my bowl, noticed that the mushrooms were terribly cut. No joke, they were about ¼ of an inch thick. Probably either because the person prepping them were lazy, or because they wanted to take up more space to the customers eat less. Whatever. It is what it is. Then came the cooking. The woman in front of me had three bowls for her family, one being without chili for her young daughter. The cooks then mixed all the sauce together between mine, and her other two. That was terrible. There was no remorse. He kept sliding her noodles that were in the non-chili bowl across the grill over all of the chili sauce. Way to go genius. THEN when the grill was a bit more clear, he started mixed other people’s orders together. Mine got mixed up with the lady behind me, and then her friend got mixed with the guy behind her. I put about 5 broccoli’s in my bowl, I came out with about 1 of them left. And she put a ton of different meats in hers, and I believe I came out with some of her chicken. Gross part, she was pushing her meat down with her own fingers. So the guy mixed up the bowls giving me meat she had touched with her fingers. Gross. Just a suggestion, make sure you go when no one else is in line, because apparently, more than 1 bowl is too much for these guys.

This place has been here as long as I remembered. Everything else raised their price for food in this food court, the Great Khan’s still charges exactly the same as 10 years ago, WOW! The taste is great as always, I still enjoy playing the«towering» game with tomato wedges, bell pepper slices, and carrot slices. For those who is unfamiliar with the mongolian type of eateries, you get a empty bowl at the cashiers as you pay, then you go through a line of ingredients and pile on up your own dish. Couple things I would like to mention tho, the workers aren’t very happy… I understand everyone goes through tough times, but they should at least try to hide it. I didn’t really enjoy the part where they«hawk eyed» me as I add beef to my bowl as if I am porking his wife. Sir, I was grabbing beef for one, and I am not interested in woman! Also there is a $ 10 minimum for charge cards.

I don’t think I understand Mongolian BBQ. It kind of just tastes like bad Chinese food to me. My boyfriend used to get Mongolian BBQ a lot and he always talked about how good he got at stacking the meat and vegetables just the right way so he got the maximum amount possible. We were at the mall one day and we happened to see a Mongolian BBQ place and my boyfriend decided to get some for a quick lunch. It was pretty fun watching him stack his bowl and watching other people. There’s a good number of vegetables you can put on it but we got broccoli, onions, mushrooms, and bean sprouts. For the meat, we got a combination of pork and beef. After you have your bowl, someone will cook it all up with some noodles on a big grill. We opted to get the spicy sauce on it for an extra kick. It made a huge difference and I fee like if there wasn’t this sauce on it, it would have just been way too oily. I didn’t enjoy the dish too much because for me it tasted like really greasy chow mein and I would rather just have chow mein. It’s cheap though and it does fill you up but I would pass and just get something else. 2⁄5
