I’ve bought three pairs of glasses here over the course of several years, and I’ve never had a problem. The technicians were never rude to me, though they were not able to help me select frames that would suit my face best or answer questions about lens coatings the way the people at Lens Crafters did. But, I selected Target Optical because they were half the price of boutique places so I expected less intensive service. If you need a cheap, quick, and friendly place to get a basic pair of glasses, this is where you need to go.

As per a previous reviewer, Brad, the«licensed optician», came off quite rude. After I made an appointment for an eye exam with the scheduling ladies(who btw, were very nice and polite), I was transferred to him to ask him a question about my eye insurance coverage. The arrogant, condescending manner was more than apparent in Brad’s speech. He talked over me and didn’t actually answer my question. I wanted him to verify what’s covered in my plan(in case I am interpreting the coverage information incorrectly). He didn’t offer to ask for my insurance info or look up my insurance ID. Instead, he kept on emphasizing, in a rude, irritated tone, that this location of Target Optical will not be any different from the Wake Forest location which I’ve been to. I was so offput by his etiquette(or lack thereof), that I called back and canceled the appointment. The thought of having to deal with someone as unpleasant and unhappy as him to order my contact lenses and pick out my sunglasses was reason enough to take my business elsewhere, even though he’s not the actual optometrist. Sometimes it just takes one rotten apple to spoil the whole barrel.

The women who work here are nice and helpful. Unfortunately Brad is not. He is RUDE and unapologetic and I will be taking my business elsewhere!
