Sophie & Mollies Boutique

Sophie and Mollies has such fun clothing, and the owners have always been extremely helpful and friendly, but unless the shop puts mirrors in the individual fitting rooms, I’m not sure I’ll shop there any more. While I was trying on clothes yesterday, and stepping into the main part of the shop to look at them on me, I felt as if I had to almost justify to the owner (as well as another person who was in the shop at the time) why I didn’t like a particular dress on me, even though they felt it looked great. It was very uncomfortable and not an experience I want to repeat.
**Shortly after posting this, one of the owners left an apology and invitation to contact them, after which they offered me a generous store gift card, which was very kind of them.

Ever check text messages while shopping? Well I do check and last night I was asked to leave @Sophie & Mollies Boutique in downtown Apex and never visit again…
Joan Simpson, co-​owner asked me if I was taking pics. I told her I was checking messages after sitting for hair color/​cut and Manicure. Thought this was a strange question but saw a cute red dress so went to check it out again. Maria Ortega, the other co-​owner came to me and asked me to leave the store and never visit their store again. I was not given an explanation other than they thought i was taking pics and didn’t want me in the store ever again. I offered to let them see my phone. I responded that I had no reason to take pics except on one occasion back in the winter when I needed an opinion on an outfit for Vegas! Yes I am guilty of checking my phone when I’m out shopping BUT never thought I would be ousted from a store because of it.
I have spent $$$ at Sophie & Mollies Boutique; taken out of town friends to shop there; recommended it and even invited one of the owners, Joan to join me with other Silpada friends in Vegas last Feb. I was pissed and angry about this incident. Joan said I must be guilty of something to be so angry. I told her I was so angry because I have high morals and really offended that they would oust me from the store. By the way I still get emails from them inviting me to visit!
I am an independent sales rep and support local small business BUT after today Sophie & Mollies Boutique will be off my list. Thanks for letting me vent.

Sophie and Mollies is a great little boutique in downtown Apex. I stopped by to check out the beer dispensary after reading the positive reviews on Unilocal.When i got there, there was a sign on the door at the Beer Dispensary that they would be back in 20 minutes, so I had 20 minutes to kill and decided wander onto Salem Street. I wandered right into Sophie and Mollies and came out with a bag full of goodies. They have a very nice selection of trendy clothes. They also had a whole wall full of sale items at 40% off, including some Miss Me jeans. The owner was fantastic, really helpful and nice. Two of us were trying on the top that she was wearing at the same time, so she took a picture of all three of us wearing it and posted it on their facebook page. I am definitely glad to have found this shop and will add it to my list of regular shopping stops!
