I visited this location today. I ordered two eggs over easy, breakfast potatoes, smoked sausage and pancakes. Each item was good close to perfect! The sausage had slight bit of something very flavorful which just added a pleasant taste so the sausage was not bland. The eggs were fried over easy. All the white was firm and the yolk runny. Great cook! The pancakes tasted like the batter was prepared just for my pancakes. I cannot give anyone perfect but this breakfast was close to it!

Like others who’ve left reviews I feel the place is dated and needs a facelift. Cleanliness is hit and miss, more miss. I see where Jeff boasted a 95 rating on cleanliness, what I think what he failed to mention is that score is not based on 100 being perfect. You can achieve a score above 100 from county. The food is consistently good tasting and portions are more than adequate. We’ve never had a bad server and have had some really good ones too. I have waited too long to checkout on several occasions.

Very good for a chain restaurant. The best thing is they don’t use«egg mixture». Real eggs all the time. I hate ordering breakfast somewhere and having to tell the wait person that I want real eggs. Why do I have to do that? Anyway, their breakfast potatoes are great. So is the French toast. Orange juice tastes fresh. Quality of food and service is consistently above bar.

I enjoyed my lunch yesterday. Great food, prices, service and clean inside and out. My first time ever in a Perkins’ and I’ll go back. Oh, did I mention their Lemon Meringue Pie? To die for.

Sticky table started off this visit. I hate it when another guest shares their syrup with me on the table edges. Even though the table was still wet.(Yuck) If they don’t clean the table correctly are they cleaning the kitchen??? The lovely young lady was very nice and prompt to re-clean the table. She was also eager to help with the order and provided very good service. My downgrade of the rating comes from asking for more orange juice and the server had to ask several other staff where to get more. Then she had to prepare the OJ. Seems the management does not have staff or processes in place to support the servers. Not to mention there sticky table. I might give them another try, I have eaten here many times and it’s normally ok.

Last Sunday morning I ate in this restaurant and was generally displeased with the hostesses and the overall attitude of the staff. I have spoken with the management. He has assured me that corrective action has been taken. His response satisfies my complaint.

Disappointed with the food!!! Mediocre omelettes and pancakes, worse than IHOP. The 3 stars are for the excellent service by Alexa. 1st time and last time here!!! Even with a groupon, not worth it.

Food was fantastic… this place makes me think of Denny’s wants to be … BUTWORLDSAPART! Food came out fast, fresh, and delicious(had the Fit plate… chicken apple sausage was so good I didn’t even second guess my decision to avoid the brisket and pulled pork lol. As for the staff: Dave and Jenny were two of the coolest servers I’ve had the pleasure of being served by. They were informative, professional, and… well. it never hurts that they made me laugh on the tail end of a long, long, LONG road trip lol Can’t wait to come back to NC so I can swing back through here…

I was disappointed to see that my review doesn’t count on Unilocal and in a separate section called not currently recommended. I told the truth. As for Michelle R who says chocolate muffins aren’t on the menu. That’s right but they do have them — chocolate muffin with chocolate chips and they are really good. Like I said, it’s are my son’s favorite. My problem with this particular Perkins wasn’t the food(I think the food is all right and I think their desserts are good too). My problem was with the the very nasty and rude manager. She was the problem and I haven’t been back since. To make it clear — my issue wasn’t that I didn’t get a chocolate/chocolate chip muffin — it was the very rude and nasty treatment by the manager. My review didn’t sound like a Food Network food review but service is just as important when it comes to dealing with the public and, therefore, my review should count for something.

If I could I’d give them a 2.5. I’ve enjoyed eating here but tonight was bad. They’re desperately short on cooks and servers… and its obvious. The resteraunt had 3 tables occupied and it took over 20 minutes to get our food. The cook and waitress let burned hash browns get to our table. And when we asked for unburned hashbrowns we overheard her ask the cook for less burned hashbrowns when she went back to the kitchen. What?!? How about unburned hashbrowns :-). We were freezing and asked that the air conditioning be turned up so we could enjoy our food. The manager told us the temp controls are locked and that the general manager wouldn’t allow a temp change. Interesting. You may want to wait until their resource issue is addressed to eat here. In my opinion, If you see a sign on the door asking for cooks and servers… turn around and go back to your car.

I went to Perkins with my son, sister and brother-in-law on Saturday. The restaurant was clean and service was fast and friendly. We really liked our waitress, Shannon(I think that was her name — blonde with a cute accent). I’m not sure what it was about the restaurant would make another review say it was«dated», but it looked fine to me. The main reason I am writing this review is because I had read the other reviews before buying my Groupon and going to the restaurant on Saturday and there is something I read that really bothers me. To E P who left a review on 4÷15÷2014: The restaurant does not even HAVE chocolate muffins on their menu, so it shouldn’t have been a surprise to you that they didn’t have any. It bothered me so much to read your comment that I even took pictures of the menu on Saturday. Silly, I know, but I hate misinformation. Anyway, we really enjoyed our visit. The food was wonderful and a great price(even without the Groupon, compared to IHOP). It made up wonder why we hadn’t been here in the 5+ years we’ve lived in the area. My teenage son asked to go back on Sunday and he isn’t really a fan of eating out at restaurants with his family at his age. :)

The restaurant was dirty and very dated, but that was the biggest negative. The food was good and we got a lot for what we paid. I’m not sure whether I’ll come back(we only went because we had a coupon), but my experience wasn’t anywhere near bad enough to not recommend it to others.

For the longest time, I avoided Perkin’s on 64 and over the past few months I’ve been a couple of times, and I have to say, it’s pretty good. The service is always on point, coffee is good, and the pancakes and bacon are tasty(sausage is ok, but if you have a choice, opt for the bacon). Hashbrowns aren’t bad, nothing to write home about, but not terrible either. Prices are good for the amount of food you get, and you probably won’t have to deal with the ridiculous wait and parking headaches you might encounter at IHOP at Beaver Creek five minutes away.

I can’t decide between 3 or 4 stars here. This place is a favorite of my relatives, they love taking family to Perkins whenever they can. I do enjoy visiting, though you can tell this this restaurant is very family-based, with the kids menu, vending machines with stuffed animals and stickers in machines. The menu is extremely basic, a little of everything, generally served. For the price you pay, the food is pretty good. I have yet to be disappointed with a meal from Perkins. Hot food comes out very hot, and it’s also usually pretty filling. I haven’t heard any raving opinions about the coffee, though, so I’d watch out before trying. The bakery is, well cute. They sell pies whole and by the slice, cookies(pretty darn satisfying), and other treats that are equally likely to be present in a full-time bake shop. The last time I visited, the person I was with ordered a slice of cherry pie, but the waitress told him that that particular item was not in season and unavailable. Slightly disappointing, yes, but there were numerous alternatives. The Chocolate French Silk is one of my all-time favorites, and that’s saying a lot, since I am NOT a huge fan of pie. Overall I would say that it’s a fun restaurant to go to. I’ve been there in big groups in the private sections, and in the booths. Each and every experience is enjoyable, it’s a definite try for anyone looking for something new.

It’s been years since I’ve been to Perkins. I’ve had a few occasions to go recently. It’s pretty much the way I remember except these days my parents aren’t picking up the check. Perkins is a standard family restaurant chain of traditional American food. There won’t be any gourmet or high-end food here. Just basic selections. I’m typically a breakfast person more than any other meal and can count on Perkins to take care of the morning munchies. The mushroom omelet varies from bland to very good but with just the right amount of melted mozzarella cheese. The hash browns are usually too soggy, but the breakfast potatoes are just right and even better with Tabasco liberally thrown on.(What isn’t better with Tabasco?) The honey mustard chicken salad crunch is a good mix of crispy chicken and honey mustard with lettuce, but don’t count on it being low-calorie. Fortunately, the wait staff has let me substitute grilled chicken, making it less guilt-inducing. The triple decker club would be good if they either toasted the bread better or made it with bread that isn’t slightly dry. Maybe I’m ordering lunch food too close to breakfast(?). I even have been pleasantly surprised by the pancakes as I’m not very fond of them as a rule. On those mornings when I’m in a rush, though, the muffins from the bakery hit the spot and are enough for a meal in and of themselves. And, I confess, the pies are good, too(there doesn’t seem to be a Bakers Square chain in the area so Perkins is a good substitute), and are a godsend when I have to take something to a party and don’t want to bake but want to pretend I did.(Not sure anyone is fooled, but they’re polite enough to play along.) Perkins has basic food. Won’t set the world on fire, but it will hit the spot.
