Nice staff greeted us when we walked in. Subs were made quick to go and exactly how we ordered.

Good Sub, fast service. I really liked the welcome everyone got when entering. Made you feel that you where not going to be overlooked. I got the Italian. I am a little odd but i like Mayo instead of the oil and Vinegar. Also I thought they had what i call(hot wets) very small spicy crushed up and diced red cherry peppers. What they had where huge slices of these scorching hot peppers. I half blame myself for not visual inspecting them first. But i had to take them out after the third bite.

These guys are awesome! The first time I went in I had just got out of the ER after a motorcycle accident. I had a broken collar bone and a few bruised ribs. They helped me to a table, took my order from there, brought me my drink and cut my sandwich into small enough pieces that I could pick up with one hand. They did it all with out being asked. They recognize me every time I come in and always ask how I am doing no matter how busy they are. On top of all that they make some killer sammiches. The pork and slaw is my favorite. But everything they do is awesome. Keep it up guys you’re doing a wonderful job.

Firehouse has always been the slowest sandwich restaurant in the history of sandwich restaurants, but this location takes first place in slowest service on the face of the planet. 25 minutes for one sub??? Are you kidding me??? It’s putting cheese and meat on bread! It’s minimal effort with limited ingredients, how could it possibly take that freaking long?!? Absolutely absurd, will not ever return to this location

Disclaimer: I’m not a sub/sandwich girl but I do love a great healthy fresh sandwich and I have to say, Firehouse subs surprised me. The first one I had was on a drive down I-95 so somewhere in Virginia and I was shocked how delicious the Hero Sandwich was and then we had a repeat here at the Apex location and it was delicious. So so glad we have discovered them. I control my portions so only ate half of the large or a medium. Good work creating delicious sandwiches with great service!

The best Italian sub around! friendly, prompt service every time. Love the huge selection of hot sauces and drinks. Would be five stars except that it’s a bit pricey.

Was running late after a 90 minute oil change and needed to bring dinner home… Was in the Beaver Creek area and decided this place looked solid — how can you go wrong with hot subs… Ordered the Meatball sub and Pastrami & Cornbeef sub… And took them to go so the wife could get her dinner as well… Got them home and was very unexcited. The meatball sub was definitely the worst of the two. the Meatballs tasted like frozen meatballs that were frozen since the ice age. Very little taste… The marinara sauce too was very blah… The Pastrami sandwhich in my opinion saved the meal and got this place to jump from 2 stars to three stars… The cool thing about this place if you dine in is the coke machine with the 100 different flavors. It’s not terribly expensive, would I go back… Not sure… jury is still debating

Decent subs at a decent price. My wife had the meatball sub and I had the Hook and Ladder. Good deli meats in the hook and ladder, but bread was lower quality. The meatball sub was good too. Very nice staff and restaurant setup. Overall we liked it but I prefer jersey mikes.

I’m a huge fan of this chain. My personal favorite is the NY Steamer(Pastrami & Corned Beef). Exceptional sandwich! I also like the Hook & Ladder(Turkey & Ham). They have a large selection of hot sauces to try with your sandwich. I just love the place. Whether in Gainesville, FL, Jacksonville, FL, or Apex, NC they’re all very good.

We LOVE Firehouse Subs. They are a little higher than most but they make up for the extra cost in taste. We like to eat the italian sub. Whatever dijon mustard they use on their sandwiches is great! The downside is that this place gets crowded during peak business hours.

Always a good choice if you are in the mood for a sub. A little expensive but they drink machine in Apex is amazing.

We love their subs. My husband gets the Italian, I get the Hero and both are delicious. But they’re pretty expensive. And if you get chips or a cookie with a drink you’re looking at at least $ 10 for a combo with a small sub. But service is quick and ingredients always taste fresh. Just wish it wasn’t so pricey!

Chicken bacon ranch was amazing… huge portions! A little expensive but worth it. Staff was lazy and talking the whole time and they were not very friendly. Went on 4÷7÷2011

Pretty good stuff here. Mostly hot subs with kitschy names such as «the hook & ladder,» «the engineer,» and my personal favorite, «the New York steamer.» I’m just happy they’re not from Cleveland. That would make for an awkward recommendation. I digress… You walk in, order, give them your name, and 5 minutes later, you’re staring down a pretty good portion size of sandwiched awesomeness. Along with the sandwich, you get a bag of chips and a pickle slice. I’ll give them points on the Claussens. There is no pickle but the Claussen pickle. One thing I recommend is to give them a name that’s somewhat different sounding. You see, when my sandwich was brought up, the heavily-accented worker of middle eastern descent muttered«dahnna,» to which myself, a danny, and a donna all raised our hands. Had I given them a fake name like Mortimer or Samwise, perhaps that wouldn’t have happened… The chips, to me, are cheating. I can’t give a star for chips you can buy at a grocery store, or just get a sub, take it home, and eat with chips you have at home. If I’m going to pay for a combo, I want fries, tater tots, wedges — y’know something not found in my pantry. Overall they’re a-ok with me. Pretty standard lunch fair that’s a cut above subway and quiznos. I just wish they served fries.

The service was mediocre at best, but the sub was the best I ever had!

I was really surprised by this self service sub shop. Same prices as Subway, but you get more food and it’s better quality. Their ingredients were very fresh and their sandwiches very appealing. The people working were very nice. Not very crowded, however. I hope they stay in business. Also, they have a pretty good kids menus, including PBJs.

In Kendall, Fl I had the choice of either Miami Subs or Subway. Both pale in comparison to what a Firehouse hot sub tastes like. Apparently, they steam their subs not microwave? Whatever. They are damn good! This particular location has friendly staff and outdoor seating. They tend to keep their AC on the freezing side. So you don’t feel compelled to stay long(maybe that’s the point?). I can’t stomach the other sub/sandwich chains but I’ll do Firehouse!
