Seated quickly, however, I did notice while there that many guests were waiting with no hostess in sight. When I asked my server for two waters, he seemed annoyed and slightly rolled his eyes. Ordered a small Olga salad with no feta or olives, who ever prepared it decided to leave the onions off as well, even though I wanted them. Ordered onions on my Olga — those were left out as well(had to pick some off my kids sandwich and put them on mine). Fried were cold, but tasty. But to top off my lousy experience, the server gave me the wrong bill, which was over $ 5.00 of what should have been my total(caught it before I paid). Only reason I am giving two stars — instead of one — is because my grilled chicken Olga was filled with chicken and it was delicious. With that being said, I don’t think I will ever return to this location.

Eh. Meh. Pff. We decided to come and get a quick bite as it’s usually a good bet for a familiar, delicious meal. We were surprisingly disappointed in our overall experience. There only seemed to be two waitresses working and they both doubled as a hostess. There wasn’t anyone standing there when we walked up and we waited a good 20 – 30 seconds before seeing any employee. Finally when someone came out of the kitchen, we were asked to wait a minute while they took someones bill. Only one side of the restaurant was being used but only half of the tables on that side were clean. The others? Cluttered with dirty plates, crayons, and food. Our waitress was nice and friendly, she took our order promptly and helped us when needed. Thinking through the meal it was rather dark and not in a «romantic» way but more like the lights were out and just hadn’t been replaced. When the food came, it was«eh». Even for Olga’s standards, which are usually a consistent and delicious product, it just wasn’t great. Our soup wasn’t very hot, the snackers weren’t very crisp and we only got 2 each(as a side to the soup). We both ordered Original’s and while the meat was plentiful, it wasn’t very hot and even a little old-type-chewy in a few spots. I didn’t end up finishing the sandwich which is a RARITY! Did I mention the dirty tables that were there when we arrived were still dirty when we left? Not to mention, a very«meh» experience.

Do not offer mall delivery if your unable to deliver! Every single time I have tried to order for mall delievery they say no. EVERYSINGLETIME. They are not even polite about it. I’ve tried to pick up myself however they are always understaffed and it takes for ever to check out even if I’ve paid beforehand with a credit card. Absolutly absurd.

This was an awful Olga’s experience. The inside décor looks old and grungy, the lighting is horrible, and the service sucked. The food was not great, I always order the same thing and it was below average compared to other locations. I will never be returning to this location, I suggest going to PJ Changs or Bravo if you’re hungry and at the mall. They need to revamp the décor and make it look less drab. It’s going under.

This place deserves its current 3 star rating. Not bad not great just average, gyros were pretty thin and minimal meat in the wrap. Otherwise really nothing special. Too bad it seemed like it would’ve been better, but I guess I should’ve known

Here is pretty good. Service is good, too. (Depending on server) Ordered Olga Meal Salad — Okay. Clean and light. Beef & Lamb Original Sandwich — Okay. Seems like Greek Gyro. Curly Potato — Okay. Dessert(Orange Cream Cooler) — Okay. I am not having delicate tongue, but they are delicious.

I grew up loving Olga’s, and was back in town excited to visit again. But man, the management of this place needs some help. Everything took too long, the food wasn’t that great. .. the waiter was trying hard, but what can you do when a lunch takes more than an hour to deliver? Not good.

I really like Olgas have liked it for years but this location really has problems. I thought it was just an occasional fluke but it’s become quite regular now. There never seems to be enough employees on staff because tables are not cleared off and the last few times they sat us at a dirty table and then cleaned it off. The past few times we waited probably 20 minutes for somebody to take our order, we usually wonder if we were forgotten about but it’s just the lack of workers on hand. This location also needs a remodeling compared to others in our area this one is pretty bad. For two weeks now they had a bucket next to a table to catch a roof leak

I was at Briarworld with my mom and we needed some lunch. We wandered to the central food court. There was sushi and ice cream, but nothing«American» enough for Mom. So we asked for advice from one of the food vendors. One of her first suggestions was Olga’s. Perfect! Not too boring for me, and it’s something my mom will actually enjoy. If you didn’t grow up in Michigan, you might not know that the big attraction at Olga’s is the Greek style gyros sandwiches that they serve. If you don’t like lamb, they have versions with chicken and now pulled pork. They also have decent soups & salads. This place has been at the mall forever, and I hope they never leave, since they’re the closest Olga’s location to where I live. I love the lamb and the yogurt together, and there’s cayenne on the table, which spices things up for me. On this particular day, I tried the«Olga’s Favorite,» which included a melty, tangy three-cheese blend over the top of the lamb and yogurt sauce. Curly fries on the side and I was a happy camper. Even the flatbread is still as good as I remember it. Our waiter was there when we needed her. She brought my mom a second iced tea without being asked, and later offered to give my mom an iced tea in a to-go cup, which she declined. Really nice service and a relaxing lunchtime to sit and chat with my mom.

I left this place so so disappointed! I had about an hour before I had to go to work and I was starving. I ordered take out cause I thought it would be faster. The guy who took my order was very polite and told me it would take about 10 – 15 minutes. After waiting about 35 minutes I came up and asked about my order and another guy said that there was a mix up and they sent mine back. At this time I only had 15 minutes to get to work. I had to cancel my order and run to work. I wasted so much time. :( Now, I’ve eaten at different locations of Olgas and the food was good, and I’m sure this location is no different but I didn’t get a chance to try it. I hate giving 1 star, so 2 stars for the 2 gentlemen who were very apologetic.(Even though I don’t think it was their fault) I would say though, that when something like this happens, I would expect a manager to come out. I mean I was so so upset and almost late for work with an empty stomach.

My girlfriend and I come here at least once a week. Most of the time we get the unlimited soup salad and snakers and it is always great. The waiter we normally get is Derrick and he is awesome. He makes coming to olgas fun and enjoyable. Today on our visit we didn’t get Derrick although while at the door waiting to be seated since they were busy, he was pushing the hosts to clean the open tables and get us seated. He goes above and beyond when it comes to customers but especially the customers he knows like us. All in all a great place to eat and not expensive at all. Definitely recommend to anyone.

I’m only writing a review because I am in hopes that the corporate powers that be will take notice. The food and staff at this location is fine. The big problem is the fact that the restaurant is so grungy and in need of a serious overhaul. It even smells dirty. The booth upholstery are literally black with grime and age. The tables are in bad shape, and the floor looks like it needs to be bleached… or torn up. C’mon, Olgas.

I love the white bean chicken chili soup here! It tastes special! The food tastes good, and it’s really a lot. But, the service was not satisfactory, because sometimes we cannot find servers. Since it seems like no better choice in the Briarwood Mall, I might eat here again.

Wow was this visit to Olga’s a shocker! My teenage son and I were there on Friday 9÷26÷14. Our server was Kayla and we were there at 12:19 pm — lunchtime. My son and I stopped there before attending our tour of the U of M. Olga’s is one of my favorite places to eat. But not this location. Our server was not attentive. She didn’t ask for my Olgas point card and she also disappeared for a long time during our meal and never came back. Our fries were cold and I wanted to send mine back but by the time Kayla came back to our table we ran out of time because we had to get to our college tour. She brought the check before I even finished my sandwich! Was she in a hurry to get rid of us? The restaurant wasn’t busy, so I don’t know what the deal was. Then I noticed that there were two friends of hers at another table nearby and she seemed to be giving them her attention. Now it made sense! Anyway, because she brought the check so early and disappeared, we couldn’t have ordered a dessert item if we wanted to. She didn’t come back to take our check, so I just left the money on the table and we left. I would like to say that the hostess at the front desk of the restaurant was a sweetheart. My son tipped his drink over and she came over immediately to help us. Again, our waitress was no where to be found. I wanted to thank her for helping us. I would recommend that the staff of this Olga’s contact or visit the Olga’s at Franklin Park Mall in Toledo, Ohio — they give exceptional service and our food is always hot and the wait staff is great. I would also recommend the one in Canton, Michigan. We had a lovely lunch there and the atmosphere is very upbeat and fun. And why doesn’t this Olga’s have free Wi-Fi for the customers? Other Olgas do! This Olga’s was a major disappointment and we won’t be back.

Well, despite the other comments, I had fabulous service by Olivia ! She totally was attentive and did a great job. The food was cheap and simple, i loved the original salad, i personally added cucumbers because they are my favorite. I also got a side of the curly fries which were delicious ! On the table they have add-on spices such as garlic powder and cayenne pepper. In addition to a salt and pepper mill. The olga bread on the side kind of reminds me of a crêpe. The food was great and i’d probably go back, i did get a bit sick from eating this food, and luckily made it home in time. probably because the dressing is very oily. they close early on sundays at 6pm — which i think is weird there were lots of crying babies when i dined in

I’ve dined at Olga locations all over the Detroit Metro area and have always found their food to be unique, tasty and fairly priced. I actually enjoy some of Olga’s side dishes as much as I do the many variations on their unique gyro-style sandwich. I especially love and always jump in for an Olga’s salad with a nice mix of iceberg lettuce, red onions, fresh feta, black olives and Olga’s own Greek-style dressing. For some reason, the bottle of Olga’s dressing that you buy at the checkout counter never tastes quite as good at home as it does when they put it on in the restaurant. I also typically grab a flakey spinach pie on the side to do the Popeye thing here. Admittedly, it is not as earthy as you get in Detroit’s Greektown, but I find it «right there». The Briarwood location doesn’t seem to get as much foot traffic from the mall as it once did and I’m not sure why. I can remember several times in the past waiting for a table in a line leading out into the mall. This visit, I found the service excellent and very accommodating. The manager was pitching in to help the wait staff in any way he could. Once again, Olga’s came through and delivered four big ones.

I just got back from this location and I have never seen a restaurant in such disarray. We arrived at approx 6:45pm today, March 3. I say this because I think the staff and especially the manager may benefit from some training. 1) The kitchen sounded like a party was going on. I feared for my food, but each time a staff member opened or closed the swinging kitchen door noise of laughter and shouting erupted from the back. A waitress getting off shift walked out, held the door open and continued a loud conversation with someone else in the kitchen. Very disruptive. 2) There is a Unilocal check-in deal going on here. I have only been to this location twice. The first time was pleasant enough, but this time the waitress asked her manager about the offer(1 free dessert). She came back out and told me the manager stated this location doesn’t participate in Unilocal or Unilocal officers, but they’d grant an exception for me this time. Huh? You should alert the Unilocal staff so they take it down. And why wasn’t I warned about this the first time I was here? Seems inconsistent. 3) I was a little put off that when my waitress delivered my food her thumb was firmly on the pita bread. I just tore that off, but I was surprised/amused to find that her other table, directly behind us, sent an order back 2 minutes later because the person accused her of handling her food. The table to the side of us sent their french fries back for being cold. Seriously where is the quality control? To top it off, after a few sips of my pepsi it was revealed the inside of the glass was caked with a gross, sticky residue. I get that I’m at Olga’s, not a fine dining establishment. So if I complain about noise, it’s gotta be bad. The first time I was here was a super busy weekend and everything was fine. This time it all fell apart with only 3 – 4 tables seated. You’d think there’d be more attention to detail but the staff seemed more intent on running to the party in the kitchen where who knows what was going on. This manager on duty needs a pretty strong come to Jesus. The food the second time was overall worse than the first time, not sure I’ll be back, at least not for a while. And I’ll stick to busier shifts!

Friendly waitstaff. Manager made sure customers were taken care of. It wasn’t super busy during the lunch hour, so it’s a good place to go if you’re in a bit of a hurry and work near the mall.
