Not happy with the store’s return policy. Apparently you had to return Christmas gift items by January 10 to get your money back. Yes, it says this in the fine print on the receipt, but like most people, I don’t generally read the fine print. Given the exclusive, high-end, very pricey nature of this store, I expected better customer service(a reasonable return policy — think Nordstrom’s). After getting this news at Lululemon, I happened to be in Costco and checked on their return policy. No-frills, bare-bones Costco takes anything back for a full cash refund, with no time limit. That’s customer service.

The hours online and on here say the store closes at 9 pm. I got there at 8:05 and the store was locked and closing at 8. Total waste of time and gas. Can someone clarify this?

By far the most friendliest staff(I have been to several stores around the U.S.)!!! The store is huge and the selection is amazing.

I’ve been going to the free yoga classes and don’t get why people criticize them. They’re free! Even a bad yoga class can give you valuable info. For example, there have been two teachers from Move this week. Today a teacher played an awful cover of a pretenders song during savasana. I almost got up and left, it was so bad. Teachers who play any music at all during savasana don’t know anything about yoga. Teachers who play awful music are to be avoided. So now I know to never take there! Honestly, this is 5 minutes from my house and most of the classes have been challenging and good. I’ve taken for years and can get a decent workout with not much guidance. Not for beginners though. You will get no corrections and verbal instructions only. If you come late it will be packed.

This review is for their free Saturday morning yoga class. I was really excited to try this class out and was even considering buying their apparel if I was going to make their class a routine part of my week. However, it was probably the worst free yoga class I’ve experienced :(. The store setup is long and narrow, making it hard to hear and see the teacher. They arrived 20 minutes late, the lesson felt rushed, and lasted for only 40 – 45 minutes. They have a guest instructor from various local yoga studios. Our instructor that week was pretty good, but again it was hard to follow the lesson because half the room could never hear the instructions. I won’t be going back. There are plenty of other yoga studios around Ann Arbor that offer free weekly community classes!

This is by far one of my favorite Lululemon stores. The layout is much more open than other Lululemon stores I have visited in Chicago and the Chicago suburbs. I am sure the merchandise is the same across all the stores but the layout makes it feel like there is more merchandise. Most importantly, it feels organized. I hate disorganized stores. If I wanted to claw my way through clothing to find what I am looking for, I’d stay in my closet. Also, the sales people are great. I didn’t realize how great they are until I had a not so great experience at a Lululemon in Florida. They smile and are helpful and actually care(well, as least most of them do). So thanks to the Lululemon sales people who make it fun and enjoyable to come back :)

Let me start by saying I LOVELULU. But my god where did you get these sales people from?!! Bitchville?! I lived in Chicago for 10 years and have been to those stores atleast 50 times. The staff are always way friendly, excited that I’m even there let alone buying something. The staff here are lacking in every way except one male salesperson who was great! The female staff that I’ve encountered(atleast 7 or more) ask if they can help and the spunk, knowledge, excitement for the product all stop there. What a bummer as it’s the only lulu anywhere near Ann Arbor, otherwise I really would seek out another store. Staff needs to be trained on the general philosophies the store was created on.

Salespeople here — beyond worthless. Attitude: «can’t be bothered to actually help customers because I’m too busy blissing out on myself.» I like hands-off sales associates, but these people take the cake for unfriendly. That’s fine, I’m sure my credit card will be welcomed elsewhere. Namaste.

yes, this lululemon location is beautifully high-ceilinged yes, this lululemon is located in a very california-esque plaza with lifestyle brands like northface, anthropologie, etc. and there’s even a giant whole foods market across the street no, this lululemon does not have friendly sales associates and it went a little something like this: me: hi, i was wondering if you guys have any sale items sa:(with an attitude) no, we don’t pick out the sale items and separate them into a rack, all the sale items are with the other non-sale items on the rack, look through them and you can see the marked down price me: oh… thanks(but no thanks) uh, are you kidding me?! there’s a men sales rack erected smack dab in the middle of the men’s section and you guys couldn’t pick out the women sales item? what kind of double standard is this? needless to say, i wasn’t in the mood to shuffle through ALL the items in the women’s section to check for sales item. i have better things to do. worst lululemon store in history. no joke. i’m thoroughly disappointed.

I LOVE the new Lulu location! I was very pleased to come back from summer break and spot this store in its new location on Washtenaw(conveniently located next to a Madewell, Anthropologie, North Face, Sur la Table, Whole Foods and future Zola Bistro). My bank account, on the other hand, is terrified. I have been in the store a few times and each time I have found new items and different displays. The sales floor always looks amazing — everything is clean, organized, and displayed in creative ways that show how to put items together, or make you consider previously«unwearable» items(like a running romper, leg warmers, or sweatshirt vests). I like that they also seem to get plenty of stock of everything, and I’ve been able to find all the products that caught my eye on the website. Have to give a shout-out to the staff here as well. Everyone is super friendly and helpful, and considerably less fake than Lulu employees at some of the other locations(I’ve definitely had some grating fitting room conversations in the past). These guys let you do your thing and are there for help or to listen when you need them. I also love that so many of them jump into activities like the weekly run club; it’s nice to talk with them on a ‘real’ level, and see them trying out the gear in an actual usage setting in addition to ‘as a work uniform’(though I’m pretty jealous of that).

Could there really be two of these stores in town? I wrote an extensive review, only to realize I posted it on the other Ann Arbor location. Basically, the styles have potential. What a ripoff though. Nylon pants made in china four times the price of other stores. I felt like they thought I was stupid. For a more through review, please see the other Luluemon Athletica in Ann Arbor

I attended this morning’s preview breakfast and the store looked great. While I tend to shop at several different places for athletic, it’s awesome to finally have a store that backs their products 100%. Their bags and pants are the best and while this selection is a bit smaller than the shop I used to go to regularly, the pant and sports bra section is really well merchandised. Also, the staff was really helpful. Overall, it’s a well appropriated space and it will add to the community health scene with their yoga and training workshops(particularly the events surrounding this opening weekend). I’ll definitely be back when I have more time to shop. 8 a.m. Is just too early for pumping music…
