I don’t mean to be rude at all, I’m just going to be completely honest… This location needs to get it together. Tried eating here in drive for breakfast twice in one morning after their posted hours. At 7am there was a car in front of me and they drive off. I figured they didn’t want anything or forgot their card, Etc. only to find that when I got to the window I was not greeted either. I waited for a few minutes, left and came back at 7:15 and still no one there, breakfast menu not up, four cars in the lot… So I called the store and spoke with a manager who told me that they were having some technical difficulties and that’s why they weren’t open yet. I have previously worked in the customer service/food industry for 10years of my life and I understand sometimes things happen, but I feel like this could have been handled a lot better. At least post a sign at the drive speaker and front door stating«sorry for the inconvenience, we will be open at _:__ this morning due to technical difficulties» or at least apologize over the phone. But none was given, just some excuse. It’s a newer store, so I think some outside, extra training and help is needed here after reading some of these other reviews. I have never tried TB Breakfast before, and after today I can still say I haven’t.

I’m giving this place only 2 stars because of the drive-thru. We went at about 8pm on a Saturday night. There were 2 cars ahead of us when we pulled in. It took the better part of 20 minutes before we actually drove away with our food. The inside wasn’t super busy, from what we could tell, so we weren’t sure what the hold up was. I’m hoping that this is still growing pains, as they’re still fairly new, but 20 minutes is pretty ridiculous. We’ll be back and hopefully they provide the drive-thru with a little quicker service.

First time into this new location in Ankeny. Waited a few weeks to allow them to work out the new store«Bugs». A young teenage girl was the cashier and I had a few questions about a couple menu items. She didn’t have any of the answers and tried to get the attention of a coworker/manager and when she couldn’t or they wouldn’t help her she just came back to the counter and stared at us. We just ordered the best we could! Funny thing is, is that myself and my two daughters were the only people in the restaurant and no cars in the drive thru. Food took forever and was barely warm when we got it. Both my daughters received something other than what they had ordered. Believe me we will not return. Most horrible fast food experience we have had.

Waited 15 minutes in the drive threw for 2 chicken quesadillas. We get them home to find that they are not cooked properly. The soft shell was still soft, and not crispy. The filling was in the center and not distributed evenly. The chicken was seasoned with some sort of barbecue seasoning. I have had taco bell’s chicken quesadillas in 4 sates and this was by far the worse. On top of this, the chicken also tasted somewhat off. My wife and I will be complaining to Taco Bell’s central office in the morning if we experience any signs of food poisoning. Needless to say, most of the meal went into the trash can. This is our second horrific experience at this location and it is safe to say we will NOT be back. Take my advise and avoid this location. Go up to the one on Euclid and 14th street in Des Moines. You may even get your food faster than waiting in line at this location

Not sure what’s going on with this Taco Bell. I used to consider them outstanding. They have friendly staff and almost always get my orders right. The last two times I’ve gone through the drive-thru I’ve been greeted with: «Your order will take 20 minutes, is that ok?» Each time I asked why it would take so long and each time they’ve responded by saying over half their staff decided not to show up today.

Update. I tried to be nice first time. New store teething issues ect, ect Now, tonight the young teen girl«manager» is bugging her staff about her 19th birthday, wants to know what they are doing and what she wants she’s talking employee business on main floor for us all to hear. One man other threatening some young kid who apparently didn’t go in for his shift. Shift he didn’t know about. They failed to tell him of change. Poor kid was almost in tears while these two belittled him. Even admitting they were in wrong but didn’t stop them from somehow blaming kid. Could this be why you are so short staff?! Then the«manager» is asking her staff to go to Panera Bread for her! She’ll pay them to go get her food… and keep them on clock Taco Bell. Please get yourself some REAL managers with some understanding of policy and ethics. This store is a hot mess.

My wife is a taco bell fan, I am a Taco Johns fan. We ordered a variety off the menu. Would stick with the Dorito Tacos only. Everything else is similar to what you can put in the microwave from the freezer section.

2nd attempt and another epic fail. 25 minutes later and still no food. Not only do you have to repeat the order multiple times but the waiting is ridiculous. Not much effort to attempt to fix the issue or apologetic. I was looking forward to them opening a location in Ankeny and now I’m deeply disappointed. Considering that this was my one cheat meal of the week made it that much more frustrating

The worst taco bell experience I have ever had. New girl on register ridiculously slow even for new girl. I work with POS systems and am new at my job too. It was honestly impressive how awful and painfully slow she was. I’m glad I made her read back the order because it was completely wrong. Meanwhile, managers in back eating while this girl is suffering through a long line of customers. Disrespectful of customer time honestly and I’m disappointed in mgmt. also took the table next to us 15 min for food. Waiting on ours. Could’ve gone out for Mexican at this rate.

Not going to last long when the staff are outside talking and customers wait in the drive thru for 5 minutes and leave because they were never greeted and their order never taken at 8am.

Taco Bell is always a quick place to grab a cheap bite to eat. I love their taco salads. I just stopped by to pick up a few soft tacos and a try their Starburst frozen drink. Which was good! Pretty refreshing on a hot day. The younger guy who took my order was super nice and made sure it was correct. One kinda weird thing that put me off was the older gentleman who gave me my food said«here you go cutie». Kinda weird. They need more professionalism. Other than they drive thru is well maintained and do are the grounds.

Staff friendly in store. Visited drive thru last Saturday at 1215. Hours posted say 3 am. Waited at window for 20 minutes before I was acknowledged by someone who was clearly scheduled for the late night shift saying they were closed at 12. Update signage or educate employees

Friendliest drive thru staff in history. It’s a learning curve with a new place but the food was fresh and hot and just as ordered. Will return!
