The interior is very dated and looks dirty. We ordered 3 kids meals and some pizzas. The kids meals apparently come with cookies. We sit down and the employee comes out from the back and says here are the kids cookies, but wait a while because they are frozen??? Not what most Papa Gino’s are. The location in North Reading is much better, from place, food, and service!

Ordered 2 pizzas for pickup online at 12:15 hearing all the commercials that it is faster. Got here at 12:30, 5 minutes before pickup time. Pizzas came out at 12:50 after being told«a couple more minutes» multiple times. Gm stood by and said nothing, noone appologized for the wait. Place sucks, save your money and go to dominos or the mcdonalds out front.

Cashier up front didn’t have a grasp on what she was doing. Pizza came out very flat and didn’t have the traditional PG taste. Yuck Wings were cooked but lacked any crisp to them. Try another local spot for pizza

I called and ordered a large plain pizza to go. Not only have the prices gone up but it appears that their large size pizzas are smaller than they used to be. Maybe Michelle Obama has something to do with that. Anyway don’t know when they made the pizza because it was barely warm when I got it home(I live just a few blocks away)…the bottom was overcooked and the pizza was hard to separate as it was on the dry side. Oh yeah it was just delightful. What a waste of money.

The pizza tastes good, but the amount of toppings they sprinkle aren’t worth the prices they charge and the sauce doesn’t even cover the pizza. If we didn’t have a coupon, we’d have just gotten cheese. We got a rustic with veggies, chicken on one half, beef on the other. The end crust is a good 1 ½−2inches deep with the tiny amount of toppings mostly in the middle of the pizza, which is party-cut, mixing the ingredients that we only wanted on the separate halves for a reason. I wanted to try it… I won’t go back. It tasted good but it was all crust.

Never been so disgusted in my life as when my delivery from papa Gino’s in Andover was delivered tonight. Chicken Caesar pockets my wife and daughter ordered had no croutons, and barely any chicken or lettuce. Mostly bread. My cheese pizza was an abomination. Barely luke warm, and half the slices of pizza had no cheese on them, and the couple that did, there was just a glob of cheese on part of the slice. I’m a chef and we eat out a lot. I never complain when I’m dissatisfied, I just don’t go back, but this was so bad that we decided to call. Just to let management know because if they don’t know, they can’t correct it or address the issue. They were so rude on the phone. Never again will we give our business to papa Gino’s in Andover.

I will start with the good. It would be a decent product if fresh. Since I have only ordered delivery I would not know. Be wary if you get delivery. I have ordered delivery 3 times and something has been wrong every time, and never under an hour. Here is a summary of my worst and most recent experience. I am not one who typically complains about service or food quality, but on this occasion I feel that it is necessary. I placed an online order for delivery at 5:32 and received a confirmation email with a delivery estimate of 5:57. At 6:30 I called the store to inquire about my orders status. I was then told that they did not see my order so it must be out for delivery. At 6:51 I received a call from the manager notifying me that my order just left and should be there soon. She told me that their oven had shut down and they had to let it heat back up. The pizzas finally arrived around 7:15. If the ovens had in fact shut down and my pizza left promptly I would expect to receive fresh pizza. I have over 8 years of restaurant experience and can tell you that our order sat under heat lamps or on top of an oven for a significant amount of time. If that is not enough the ticket attached to the box had nearly turned black. Which only happens when it has been exposed to heat for a significant amount of time. I never believed that the ovens shut down and they had to wait for them to heat back up, as the manager claimed, but I figured s#$t happens and as long as my food is hot and fresh everything is okay. Well my food was not fresh. It seems like every time I order from this location something is wrong. I think they have a quality product for a chain(especially if I could get it fresh) and would rather order from you than Papa Johns or Dominoes any day. But after this I will just order from a local joint instead.

I like the pizza, but delivery is always over an hour. i don’t know how they can compete with dominos and the other delivery services. Its unfortunate because i really like the pizza. It seems that this entire chain is mismanaged.

I ordered two slices of pizza at a price of $ 6(equivalent to 2 gallons of imported gas from Iraq)!! 1 cheese 1 pepperoni. The pepperoni was a reheated cheese with pepperoni thrown on top. Each slice was no bigger than 5 inches long. I was a to –go customer so I guess they thought I would be far away before realizing the problem. Went back make complaint to Justine who agree the slices seemed very small and offered for me to wait another 20 minutes for another pizza out of the oven. Of course this being a lunch break I could wait an additional 20 minutes! No manager on duty but I guess his name is Tony. Avoid at all costs. no accountability for quality control. P. s. drink NOT included.

Incompetent, rude, unprofessional. NEVER try to order for delivery. They can’t take an order. They don’t know the menu. They have no drivers. There’s no manager in the store to help. You will be put on hold for 10 minutes and then they will hang up on you. Three times I tried because there was no time to cook, three times they failed. They should try hiring some adults who can speak English clearly, have manners, and a work ethic.

I would say this — when it comes to the pizza chain quality, Papa’s definitely has the edge over the Dominos and Pizza Huts of the world. I like the cheese blends on their pizza, and their buffalo chicken is a pretty darned good pie — even though I tend to be very traditional in that regard. I don’t know that eating here is the best experience in the world, but the GM here — I think his name is Tony — has always been friendly, and this place has been more consistent in meeting the times it commits to for when your food would be ready than another other takeout joint I’ve hit. All in all, it’s not like hitting a pizzeria in Naples, Italy, but it’s not supposed to be. And the prices are fair as well — so definitely consider some takeout pies the next time you’re thinking pizza.

If you took Dominos, Pizza Hut, and other average/mainstream pizza places and merged them together, you’d get Papa Gino’s. Are the pizzas here the greatest? Who knows. It’s all about the breadsticks with the cheese. Maybe a little after you cool them in the breeze. Anyway, this place is quite alright. It’s as you’d expect. It’s average, and nothing seems suspect.
