I notice that this place has two Unilocal pages for this location. So, here is a repeat of my review on their other page. People should know that these folks are extremely negligent. You should seriously look into the«truth in menus» law. To misrepresent menu items is in direct violation of FDA regulations. I have many allergies to fish with fins. I’ve always been fine with shellfish but not always with fish with fins, so I carry a epipen. I’m cautious and I ask a lot of questions. I asked what the crab roll contained and I was told that it contained Alaskan King Crab, celery, peppers, salt, pepper, mayo, a little sugar, etc… I ordered. When it arrived, I took a bite and it was way too sweet to be Alaskan King Crab. I grabbed the menu, re-read, and consulted the person in the kitchen and was assured it was Alaskan King Crab. About halfway through my meal, I knew that something was wrong. I started itching and became a wee bit disoriented. I called another server over and questioned him about the ingredients. I asked him if he knew if there was pollock in the recipe. He confirmed that it is more than 50% surimi/pollock. He also stated that they have been trying to get management to change the menus because of a similar issue and people just being upset about the fraudulent listing on the menu. Nice job Humpy’s. So, I almost missed my plane because I was having foodbourne intoxication issues and the aftermath of using the epipen, and just being plain angry with their dishonesty. To top it all off, I had to pay for the meal. Disclaimer. I work in restaurant operations management. I operate a $ 5.5M restaurant. I know industry standards and regulations. I manage FOH and BOH as well as the operational side of the restaurant. I would never, ever, ever put anything on a menu that isn’t true. Allergies are real and you shouldn’t gamble with the health of your guests. How you haven’t been sued is surprising. I’m looking into who to report you to in good ol’ Alaska. This was by far the worst, and most negligent dining experience I’ve ever had, and you should be ashamed.

Took more than an hour to get a vegiburger. Bartenders were nice but food time was absurd

This review is for their food only. I ordered a blackened halibut salad and the halibut was perfect! I’m a lifelong Alaskan and this halibut was next to fresh and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the Anchorage International Airport.

The bartender at this Humpys is probably the worst I have EVER came across(Pretty sure his name is Jonathan or Joseph). I sat back and watched for a while before having to excuse myself and let him know how I felt. He had a full rail of guests and said not a word to them other than«here’s your food. And«what would you like to drink?» This to me is NOT a bartender. I was with my boyfriend and we met a gf of mine at the bar as she had a flight departing an hour before ours. Just wanting a fun social hour. Instead it was a fricken joke if you ask me. He was rude to my friend(who may have been a bit boozy) and I said something and he said he was going to call the airport police on me. He was immediately on the defense for being A TOTAL F*CKI!G A**HO!E. «What in the hell were you going to call the police on me for?!» I even told him to because it was so god damn asinine. I am a bartender and have been for 10 years. I know the difference in needing to call the police for assistance and not. I had one beverage but stuck up for my gf who he was a complete dick to. Anyway, shitty calamari also and the dipping sauce is way to salty. I’m so fricken irritated I will continue to let all friends and fellow travelers to give their monies to Silver Gulch rather than this establishment as long as this A**H0!3 is working there. DICK

Fantastic beer selection for an airport! It does not get much better than this. Call me crazy, but I actually like the food here better than the downtown location. The halibut tacos here tasted much more fresh than the ones I had downtown. The ones downtown were so bad I probably should have sent them back. I don’t seem to be in the terminal with Humpy’s very often, but when I am, I always make it a point to stop in!

I had originally planned to eat at the Downtown location, but just got lazy after running a marathon. So when I had a few hours to pass in the airport, I thought that that was a good time as any to eat at Humpy’s. Since I was by myself, I grabbed a seat at the bar. The bartender was very quick and friendly. She was juggling a lot of drink orders during my meal. She recommended that I get the halibut blackened, she was right. *Midnight Sun Kodiak Brown Ale* They didn’t have any porters or stouts on tap, so I thought I’d give this beer a try. It was a nice malty beer. A good change of pace from all of the IPA’s that I’ve been drinking lately. *Blackened Halibut Burger* I had been eating a lot of bacon double cheeseburgers lately on my marathon trips, so this was a nice change of pace. It actually had just enough of a spicy kick to make it interesting. The only other time that I eat a fish burger is the filet o’ fish at McDonald’s. This of course was at least 1000 times better. :) *Midnight Sun Sockeye Red IPA* For my IPA’s, I prefer ones with citrus flavor and floral aroma. This beer fit that bill. It was a nice beer with which to end my meal.

Three stars means average right? Well my dish wasn’t bad here just not a standout either. I had the caesar salad with blackened salmon. The salmon was very very good but the salad was watery and the dressing in need of consistency. I asked for some extra parmesan but it was in the string shredded form not powder so it didn’t help much. Aside from the salad dressing the service of as great and prompt, drink came quickly followed by food order and the food came out quickly.

Visiting from Philadelphia and had an Alaskan summer ale and the Alaskan king crab bites and they were both delicious! Fiona was a great bartender and had lots to say about the local treasures of Alaska!

I have to post right this sec because the waitress is just such a b*tch. Who ever owns this place just doesn’t give an F because everyone here is traveling. Come here if you have no here option. That is all…

Wow. Great beers(as all restaurants in the airport have). The halibut tacos were easily the worst fish tacos I have ever had. Comes out in enormous wraps and the halibut tastes like dry chicken while the tacos are so wet that you can’t pick them up. Incredibly disappointing and I would love to confirm if that was halibut. Drink beers… eat chips.

Did a quick driveby. Snagged a crab roll. It was pretty tasty. The server was really nice and got us out of there pretty quickly.

Ordered the Halibut and chips. Large chunks of fresh halibut. Was very good. The fries were standard fare but hot and crispy. The service was good as well. The portion was pretty well sized with about 6 to 7 large chunks of fish. Also had a pretty decent selection of beers on tap. I would not hesitate in coming back.

This place was recommended by several locals saying it was a very popular place for beer and food. The beer selection was good as was my hefeweizen, however the food was horrible. The buffalo wings, warned as very spicy, were mild at best. The real problem with them being they were dry, majorly over cooked, and served cold. The fish tacos were even worse, being served on stale tortillas that fell apart as I ate them, majorly under seasoned halibut(I’m talking about there not even being salt and pepper on them), and really unevenly chopped cabbage slaw with huge chunks; for $ 20 of no flavor, I was really upset. I will say I got good service, the server was attentive and very friendly, but this place either needs a new chef or I just went in on the wrong day. I’d stick to just the beer here and get a bite to eat around the corner, maybe their breakfast menu is better than their lunch.

Nice selection of local and non local beer. Their Alaskan wheat ale rivals shock top. They even have shipyards pumpkin head tap hanging as a teaser… too early for that though. Service was friendly and can’t wait to try the wings

Sat for 15 minutes and was ignored the entire time. Understaffed. Menu looked intriguing, but I was frustrated by the lack of service and so I left without anyone noticing…

We stopped in for some lunch while waiting for our flight. There was only one server working the tables so the whole ordeal took longer than we expected(an hour for bar food service). We split the chicken nachos between two people and it was more than enough food. The nachos were piled high with cheese, beans, chicken, salsa, guacamole, sour cream, jalepenos and green onions. They were tasty enough for bar food. The only reason for three stars is the slow service.

Decently priced burgers(for AK) Service was good. Restaurant had a pretty good beer selection. A great place for a last beer before heading to a moist Alaskan town for the summer. The best restaurant at ANC — and yes, I have been to all the other ones.

So, this is an outlet for Humpy’s in the Anchorage Airport. Humpy’s is awesome and amazing and an Anchorage institution. Put it in the airport and it’s…less so. It seems like a last-ditch attempt to make money on people leaving town. That being said, it’s a great last-ditch attempt. The food is good. The beer is better. The service… well, that leaves a bit to be desired. The staff here look like they wish they could be somewhere, anywhere, else. Alaska is a heaven for salmon and halibut. Don’t expect amazingly cheap prices, but you can expect amazing quality. Humpy’s here in the airport is an absolutely worthy place to get that last fix. If you’re spending any time in Anchortown, go to the real Humpy’s. If you miss it, then go here.
