Flying Chinook Bar & Grill

You’ve probably driven by this place a million times and not even known what it was.
It’s a bar/​restaurant inside the Barratt Inn on Spenard, on the other side of the street from Gwennie’s.
The restaurant looks like it offers Asian food. What kind (s) specifically, I’m not sure, I just came here for the bar side.
The bar is short and sweet. They have liquor and only about 5 taps. They also have a couple things in the bottle.
But. What makes this place great is the karaōke room! I’m not sure if they do it every night, only on weekdays, or only on the day we went (Monday), but it was great!
The selection of songs are arranged by song title. This may make it easy for most people, but not for me. I wish they were sorted by artist. Better yet, I wish they were an Excel spreadsheet and I could slice ‘em and dice ‘em however I wanted.
I read the whole book anyway, because I’m a dork. The song selection is fascinating. Here’s how diverse the artists are: Glen Campbell, Nine Inch Nails, Lady Gaga, Hall and Oats, Metallica, Creed, Limp Bizkit, Wham!, Muse, Slipknot and on and on and on. You can definitely find something you like.
While you sing, you’re staring at stock footage of pastoral Japanese scenes… I was memorized by what this.
There weren’t many people here which is too bad for the business but was awesome for the three of us.
They’ve got big couches and cushions and moody lighting, it was extremely cozy.
Come here if you want something different.

This is the place! If you like a chill superb friendly and fun service that serves the best drinks and food in town then I highly recommend this place. They cater to every individual so it’s guaranteed you get what you want and ask for! If you’re a first time visitor in Anchorage, or a resident but never been here, it’s time to check them out. I highly recommend it!
