Been here a couple of times. but I’m sad to say that the tacos are getting worse every time I come. staring with the salsas, they are not even spicy like before instead they are watery and tasteless, tortillas are cold and the meats seem old. therefore the taste is bland and forceful to eat. For the price, I expect what I tasted the first time. fresh, hot salsas, tender fresh meat well marinated… honestly today was the last attempt and will not come again.

I moved to Anaheim about a year and a half ago. VIPTACO’S has become one of my favorite«neighborhood gems.» Taco Tuesdays can easily become a ritual. Their carne tacos are my reason to get out and take a walk… stop by if you happen to be on our block.

This happens all the time now, o got 4 tacos and the wait was 30 minutes or more. Customer service sucks no where to wait no place to sit.

Fantastic tacos! Always get the pineapple, always. The carnitas were delicious and the avocado salsa was a delicious addition. The service is also great, the cashier really made me feel welcome and taken care of. VIP for sure!

A carne asada burrito = $ 6.25. Unpublished«convenience fee» for using my card = $ 1.00! I felt violated! There has to be a law against taking advantage of people at the register. I’m not coming back; the«convenience fee» was not convenient for me. In fact, it was very inconvenient. What did you ask VIP Taco? How did I like the carne asada burrito? It was ok. Definitely not worth $ 7.25.

not coming back. some of my chicken in my burrito was pink. 2nd time around coming to VIP I get a chicken burrito again & asked for it to be WELL cooked(dorado) & again it was pink. So I order chorizo tacos so that I won’t risk it with the chicken. I asked for the chorizo to be WELL cooked once again thinking they probably don’t cook there meat well & once I got them they were BURNT it was as dark & small like dirt! My bf thought I was over reacting so he gives the burnt chorizo a try & didn’t like them either.

Someone told me that the tacos here were better than Taqueria De Anda… I was especially excited to try them out because they boast«handmade tortillas» on their sign. I am always looking for awesome street tacos in the OC, but haven’t found any that measure up to the endless supply in LA. THEVERDICT??? They were just ok. This taco joint is a small«mom & pop» place with about 8 tables. It was a warm day and I couldn’t feel any A/C. I was lucky to get a table close to the register bc it seemed a little cooler. I order al pastor & carne asada tacos and carne asada burritos. They came out quickly with the tortillas nice and hot. The SMELL~~~ was incredible!!! I had the al pastor taco first and while the tortilla was good, the actual taste of the meat was a little lack luster and on the sweet side. I then realized that when I got my salsas, I forgot to get the MOST important accent piece… the LIMES!!! I usually squeeze a quarter of a lime on each taco. It was still ok. Good but not wowed. The carne asada tacos were the same. The meat tasted under seasoned & plain. This made the experience less than optimal. Such a shame because the tortillas were awesome… but after they cooled they tasted like just regular tortillas. The salsa/condiment bar was also super clean that offered a HOT red salsa, a HOT chipotle salsa, a mild red salsa, a mild avocado salsa, and also a mild tomatillo salsa that were each EXCELLENT and different. I was really surprised and pleased with the«heat» with the HOT salsas. A taco is a seemingly simple food item, but it’s really complex. The tortilla has to be nice & soft and warmed(or FRIED!!!). The meat has be tender & seasoned right without a lot of fat pieces. It should be able to stand on it’s own without sauces for embellishment. There also needs be a variety of salsas each with their unique flavor profile and with varying degrees of heat. Lastly, the cilantro & onions need to be diced finely and be FRESH! The meat was lacking here. Sorry, but this was a deal breaker.

BESTTACOSEVER!!! They do make you feel like VIP because even the cashier knows me already and know what I usually get and even suggest to try new items. I ordered to go 20 tacos and 4 mulitas last time and in less than 20min it was ready to go. TIP * No bathroom so don’t expect to be going to the bathroom here

I love this place, it’s about a 3 minute drive from my house and my boyfriend and i tend to go there a lot. Their tortilla is hand made which makes it a lot more delicious to me. I always enjoy going throughout the week because they have deal for each day of the week. I can’t remember all of them but I know on Thursday its Torta Thursday and they’re only 3.99 and it’s worth how much you get as well! The workers are also very friendly and always ask me how my day is going and it gives the place a good vibe.

Probably one of the best shrimp tacos I’ve ever had. I really liked the tortillas and you can tell that they are made in house. I really like that it was nice and thick tortillas. The shrimp was cooked wonderful. The shrimp was really juicy and had a lot of flavor. I will be back soon !

I came here after a weird semi-late night craving(they close at 11 after all) on a regular Wednesday night. The area isn’t the best but it’s also not the worst. The restaurant itself is pretty cute, simple, but cute. I ordered 2 carne asada tacos, 2 carnitas tacos,(hold the onions on both) and a horchata. The total came to about $ 12.00. I was a little weird about the price but hey, what can you do when all you want is a good, authentic taco? The quality was pretty good, especially after adding some lemon and salsa verde from their salsa bar. The meat was tender, the tortillas are warm, and the horchata was as authentic as an American corporation could make it! I also tried my friend’s fish taco which was as equally(if not better) amazing as my tacos. They’re not Tijuana’s Tacos but they’re definitely up there in regards to my favorite taco spots and I’ll probably be back to try something new, maybe a torta next time?

If you’re ever looking for authentic, delicious tacos, here’s your place! First of all you can’t beat hand made tortillas! The tacos come with a generous serving of meat. They have variety of items on the menu and I’ve tried most of them. Sopes, quesadillas, tortas, tacos, burritos, mulitas, tamales, rice, etc. So far they have all been delicious and freshly made. I absolutely love the refried beans! Lol they’re so good I could eat a cup of them alone. The asada and al pastor are my favorite! You can ask for piña in your al pastor meat. Yuuuuuum. They also have grilled onions and beans and a great selection of salsas from mild to burning hot. Everything is well seasoned and well prepared. They have a great selection of Agua Frescas. The cashiers are always friendly and they go out of their way to make my orders just how I want them. Yes this place is small so keep in mind that it will be crowded depending on the time you go. I’d say prices are good because you do get quality food. Definitely my go to place. highly recommend it! :)

Came in mulita Monday. Love that they have specials everyday! $ 1.99 for a mulita, ordered a carne Asada and an al pastor. The quality is definitely there! The handmade tortillas, the cheese, and flavorful meat pressed into one was so delicious! The mulitas were kind of small, I needed probably 3 of them to really fill me up. I also love their salsa bar! The guac sauce was bomb, and their hot sauce is spicy and not watered down at like most places. In addition you can pick up cucumbers, limes, and onions at the salsa bar. Without the specials, the price is definitely on the high side, but their quality is good. I will definitely be back to try other items on their menu!

This is taco shop is small with no restrooms. Located next to a 7-Eleven, this taco joint is a local favorite. There’s only 5 – 6 tables avail., so be prepared to eat in your car. Gets busy on Taco Tuesday’s. Make sure you check out my picture posted to see the daily specials. The salsa bar is always stocked with fresh side items like cucumber, radish, pickled onions, and 4 types of salsa. WARNING: the Salsas are spicier than other places, so make sure you taste them before dousing your food with it. Also, make sure to bring ca$h to eat there because they charge $ to swipe your card. You can always buy something from 7-Eleven and get cash back to avoid the fee, I know cheap me right? Lol

This is why you go to Unilocal when you want to hear about good food and new food! Some time ago, this location was NOTVIP tacos… with that said, it was also very invisible and to be quite honest, I can’t even remember what the name of the place was before — well that says A LOT. So when my husband told me about how the location has seemed to change management, I told him that it was his duty to feed me with VIP Tacos. So he did, and he did good. This location definitely needed a face lift and that’s what it got, both food wise and in the dining area. Tacos, Tacos, Tacos! Well done VIP! Nicely made and seasoned. Not to mention that your portion sizes are reasonable. I love your Everyday specials too! Why 4 Stars and not 5 Stars? *Gasp*… No Lengua Tacos?! Gah… I can’t even.

No customer restrooms. Small space for dining. No A/C. Despite these negative factors, food quality was positive and came out in a snap. Tortillas bomb! Tacos good. Mulitas great! Nachos good. Piña beverage bomb! Carnitas, chicken and carne asada were deliciously satisfying. Various food styles to choose from on their menu. Nachos, tacos, tamales, quesadillas, burritos, tortas, mulitas and more. They’ve got a salsa bar, bottled bevs and a few fountain juices. Lots of foot traffic coming through here, but orders came out brisk. The food is proper, wasn’t too oily/greasy. I am a made fan!
