Del Taco

Went in the middle of the night with no one in the line and still took almost 10 minutes to make our order. The order was fine, but service was terrible and food wasn’t as good as other locations. Save your time and drive to the other closest location because even though it’s a drive, it will save you time.

Fast food is fast food. I don’t expect much out of it. I’ve lived in this area since 98 use to always skateboard here with my friends throughout public schooling. This particular taco Tuesday was appalling. Visit a mom and pop taqueria, your money will go further as well as your satisfaction.

The good news is that only 4 of my tacos were broken in several pieces. The bad news is that 4 of my tacos were broken into several pieces. It’s not even that upsetting that I had to drive all the way home in order to find that out. It’s not that upsetting that the people working aren’t friendly. What’s upsetting is that breaking tacos is merely a matter of carelessness. Having had experience working for Del, I know this first hand. Most likely tired, poorly trained, and careless employees just shoveling out food they probably wouldn’t eat themselves had they received it in this condition. I realize we’re not paying top dollar for this food. But I don’t think that should qualify poor quality/​service.
I’d speak to a manager, but honestly believe that to be wasted effort. (As is this review I imagine) I’m not even interested in the $ 1 off coupon for filling out a customer survey. Who knows how poorly they’d make my food if they knew I was paying for any of it with a coupon.
At least the quesadilla was its normal cheesy, greasy self that we’ve all come to love about Del’s quesadillas.
Kind of amused at Del’s customer satisfaction survey too… evidently you must keep a certain review number throughout the survey to actually continue filling it out. Like, if your visit was that bad — we don’t wanna know about it.

Messed up my order and then when me and grandma went inside they must of thought we didn’t understand Spanish because we can hear one the employees cursing us in Spanish; thanks, awesome to feel welcome.

When my boyfriend and I go during the day, we have no issues. When I get off work late however, like 11:30 or 12, when it says they are open til 2am, I show up and they are closed and won’t let me in. They say it’s because if staffing issues. Hire more people, because if you say you’re open until 2am, you stick it out. You sure as hell had enough people to just chat in the lobby. Get it together. Other than this, food is great.

5:40 am drive-​thru on my way to work. .I order 4 breakfast sausage tacos and 1 breakfast bacon taco. I get to work and my order is WRONG :/

They took forever and there was no one behind me or in front if me. All I ordered was an ice coffee and a brc burrito. The girl ignored me until 3 minutes later she acknolegde I was there and then took my card and gave me my food moments later.

It’s a del taco. The are open all night and they have shitty cheap food. What more do you want out of a del? The drive through goes quickly enough and they usually get orders right.

Always have late night munches getting off @ 3am favorite thing is strawberry shake with macho fry i have gotten my food nice hot and fresh never pay attention to the wait

They always mess up the orders here. Every time. No matter how many times we confirm and repeat it.

Came to the conclusion I needed to write this. Unfortunately i might not come into this location anymore. Lack of EVERYTHING! and remember i say that trying to be nice. I bought small fries. Bean burrito. And deluxe taco and everything was COLD like if i bought it hours ago and im upset because someone infront of me complained about hes fries i didnt hear what he said but i can now guess why. So i wasnt in the mood for a confrontation work kicked my butt i just wanted to eat. So then end up going to the deltaco on orangethorpe and bought the exact same thing. And it was so much BETTER. the sad part is i had to spend i believe exactly 8.14 just for warm food. So im going to call corporate this is just ridiculous. By the way there was 5 people making food on the taco line and one guy in the back and. everyones lookind at me speaking spanish and laughing comeon guys have pride in what you do. Thanks Unilocal for listening not deltaco.

How can I not review this place for such a long time?
Favorites:
1) The quesadillas, the spicy jack is a nice touch and there’s a generous amount of cheese and the dish itself is piping hot.
2) The steak and egg burrito. I use ketchup in this. It already has hot sauce, unless you want it spicier than it already is. On its own, it’s about 1 – 2 on a 5 alarm scale.
3) The cheese and potato poppers. Think half hash browns, half jalapeño poppers. What sucks is this would be awesome w/​ranch, and they don’t serve it.
Other useful stuff of note:
1) The staff is always friendly. I’ve not encountered one snarly one.
2) They always give napkins and always ask you if you want condiments. Some places suck out loud when they are miserly about condiments that YOU HAVE to ask for it. What’s that about?
3) Reasonable wait for all the items. I’ve never had long wait times for any reason.
4) THEY HAVE NEVER GOTTEN MY ORDERS WRONG, and I’ve been here many many many many times. More than I care to admit. My check-​ins don’t reflect it; I’ve left my phone at home sometimes.
Like the other reviewers, I agree that not all Del Tacos are the same. This place is very good.
PS. I’ve never eaten inside. Keep that in mind.

* Surly AND slow drive-​through service … for two bean burritos, for the only customer in line (yours truly) for 30 minutes

Food taste horrible and the ice tea must have been weeks old. Taste like fish tank water.

I like Del Taco.
DT is an alright Mexican chain. I love the fact that they have like a dozen hot sauce choices and an email that gets you free food and special deals. Good late night munchies food. Many locations open 24 – 7. Fair prices, good specials. All good.
BUT this location is one of the worst #2 (Harbor & LaPalma #1 worst offender) that I have been to.
The food is pretty much the same in taste as all the others I have been to, but they skimp on the goods here. I had macho nachos and if I had ¹⁄₃ of the stuff they show in their web site I’d be surprised. 2 –3 pcs of tomato maybe 2 tbs of meat… Also the tacos and burritos seem like they are thrown together by monkeys. Poorly put together fare.
The place is a little on the dirty side (floor, tables) and don’t venture into the bathrooms unless you have no other choice.
The staff is OK when they are not too busy on the phone texting.
DT needs to get their s**t together at this store… skip this place and go to a better DT not far up the street on LaPalma close to Tustin in Orange.
I will NOT be coming back here again!

After Bar Food.
After spending all your money at a bar, you have $ 5 left in your pocket. Go to Del Taco. Their dollar menu is very decent and you will get full. Open 24hrs. God, help them.

They got some iced coffee which I just couldn’t resist. I don’t like the location but it gets the job done when on a rush. Their strawberry churros are good stuff and a strawberry lemonade.mhmm.

Great for late night snack. after drinking extraveganza and other Del Taco goodness.
Only complaint I have is (reason why this Del Taco does not get the 5 star) that this location is 24 HOURS –and sometimes… THEY ARE CLOSED. there has been a time i come up to the window for like 10 minutes… and they’re NOT answering and are «closed» even though they are in there. and then 30 minutes later i pass by again they are open again…-_–
other than that. fantastic.

I have gone to several Del Taco’s.however I had yet to visit one at 1:15 am! So I came here with a fellow kickball friend. We were on a mission to get plenty of food for other overly intoxicated kickballers. Since I was the only sober one… I drove… and since it was late another kickballer went with me. We watch out for each other like that. Anyway… this Del Taco was grrreat! Since we ordered THREE Fiesta Packs (which still wasn’t enough) they had us park it for a bit in the parking lot. They gave us PLENTY of Hot Sauce and exactly what we ordered.
P. S. Another kickballer came through with Fiesta Pack after going to the LA Rise concert.

why does del taco have 4 stars?! no me gusta!!!

were all del taco’s created equal? I THINK NOT…
fine dining is great… but far too often I like to get down and enjoy some drive-​thru intestine cleaner and del taco usually does the trick. For the change I can usually dig out of under my backseat (my car’s backseat that is) I can get their rather filling classic taco’s (.99 each), the most magnificent fries from any fast food place (still crinkly), or a pretty decent burger (double del-​cheeseburger).
This particular del taco is my choice whenever possible not because the food is extra special… although I have never had a reason to make a single complaint, but the staff here is remarkable. Everyone seems to have a cheerful attitude, they greet you, and (not that this is an issue if it does not happen in a fast food restaurant) they go above and beyond to ensure that you are satisfied. On our last visit there, it was just before Christmas, we were greeted, treated very well when our order was taken, and three employees wished us happy holidays. It is just not what is expected during a visit to del taco.
The appearance of this location is not the best, it is not brand new, however it is very well maintained.
