I had heard about the poison apple-tini and wanted to try it. It’s only out at Halloween time. It seemed to be served in only 2 places so we came here. My boyfriend thought we should order the french dip as we had gone to the movies at Downtown Disney but hadn’t eaten. He has been to the steakhouse before and said the food was better than Club 33. Wow the frech dip was so delicious! Just the right amount of horseradish spread and the au jus was great and not salty like so many places. It came with fries that were hot and yummy as well as a few peppers. The drink was great and it came with a poison apple light up cube! Nice touch. We will be coming back here!

Found this place on Unilocal.Looking for a nicer than Disneyland park food for a meal after being in the park all day. This is actually in the Disneyland Hotel Convention Center area, as you walk in the door to the left is the Lounge area. Getting tables in the actual restaurant need reservations. They do open up seating after 9PM we were told by the Maitre ‘d. They serve the same menu at the bar. We hunkered down with Rudy our bartender extraordinaire and had some really delicious dry rubbed bone in rib eyes. Rudy was very entertaining and full of fun facts about the hotel and the area. Made a mean dirty martini and was very attentive to our every request. Even the 24 layer cake to go. Set us up with napkins, cutlery and and everything. We enjoyed our time there and will go back again when in the area. We valet parked and had no problems. It’s definitely pricey, but whew what a good meal.

My girlfriend and I visited Steakhouse 55 since our holiday plans had fallen through due to some personal issue we had to take care of earlier in the morning. We arrived to the lounge at about 5:15PM and were told we could receive the Steakhouse 55 menu instead of the bar menu. We were excited since we had been told for years how Steakhouse 55 is one of the premier dinning destinations on the Disneyland property. I have had the chance to eat at other popular steakhouses like SW in Las Vegas, the Metropolitan Grill in Seattle and The Ranch. I anticipated my experience would be similar; however it was less than my girlfriend and I expected. I admit I was not dressed as well as I would have liked and feel that my age, 25, sometimes turns off servers and bartenders since they feel I cannot afford or will not tip accordingly when it comes to the end of the meal. Working in the service industry I know the cost of meals and know how to tip accordingly so I am always extremely frustrated when I feel I am not treated well. We placed our salad order and entrees at the same time, and received our salad promptly. However, the filet and New York we ordered took way longer than we anticipated. Our entrees took about 40 minutes for two medium steaks, I did not receive the Steakhouse 55 butter that I had ordered and had to ask for it. I then received a ramekin of it and tried to melt it on my steak but then realized my steak was barely above room temperature. My side of potato casserole was also room temperature. It seems as though our steaks were sitting under the heat lamp for most of the time we had been waiting. I understand that this was an extremely busy holiday for the resort; however, it was what happened after our meal that was most upsetting. We were never offered dessert and paid our tab and left. After we left my girlfriend said she felt we were charged twice for our side of green beans in which we ordered one. I went back to the bar to inquire about the charge and was given a crumpled up receipt folded in half. I inquired about the price of the green beans and was told they were $ 16 and I felt we were overcharged for green beans but if that was the price, I was more than happy to pay for them. However, I walked by the host stand saw the menu sitting there and looked at it to see if the bartender was being honest. He wasn’t. I began to explain my displeasure to the host, and she picked up the phone assuming to call a manager and the bartender than came running over and explained it was an accident that he overcharged us. Was it a coincidence that he thought they were $ 16 and was telling the truth, or something else? I’m not quite sure and do not mean to question the integrity of an employee. He then said that it was a mistake and would get the manager on duty to fix it. I attempted to explain my frustrations with my entire meal to the manager when she issued me my refund. However I do not feel she cared about my experience in your lounge and immediately shot back with a snide comment of «the kitchen is working on the issues,» and that was it. I was not able to give my feedback or anything else; she just walked away and didn’t give me the time of day. This was my first experience at Steakhouse 55, but since I have worked on Disney Property for nine years and have recommended Steakhouse 55 numerous times when a party is looking for a more upscale experience. I never complain, but I left the resort feeling that I had been had and am extremely disappointed.

Delicious food. Great ambiance. Very pricey but if your willing to pay its worth every penny. Make sure you make reservations ahead of time, they go quickly. Also need a debit/credit card to make reservation. They do not charge anything but if you don’t cancel 24 hours before they charge you! Great steak house! Once again worth every penny. Service was amazing! Will be back again.

My boyfriend and I came for restaurant week in the OC. The valet service was a bit unfriendly and lazy(when we pulled up no one came to our car, so we thought we parked in the wrong place and moved forward, even tho I saw a bunch of workers standing around talking to one another.) I asked the parking attendant where to go again and he said we went to the right spot and to honk if they ignored us again… Hmm. Other than that, everyone was super(Stepford wife) smiley and nice. Now, on that what really matters, for food! The portions were really small, but what do you expect for a abbreviated menu as a much discounted price? In my mind, the portions were actually perfect, but I’m a small person. My boyfriend was satisfied, but probably could’ve gone with large portions. I’m sure as a regular sized meal, he would’ve been full. I got the shrimp cocktail, two large shrimp on a bed of salad. It was very flavorful and tasted fresh. My bf got the wedge salad with ranch… he said it was great, but I’ll never understand the appeal of a wedge of lettuce and some tomatoes. We both opted for the prime rib, he loves steaks and I’m trying to learn to like it more. Coming from a person that does not normally eat that stuff, it was really fatty(which I’m told is how that cut is). I ordered it medium, it came out very, very pink/red. Made me a little squeemish, and was told by the waiter that typically their medium comes out a bit more on the rare side(something to keep in mind in case you prefer it a certain way). Now, coming from my bf who loves meat, he said it was amazing, very good taste and texture. The sides were mashed potatoes and green beans, I thought they were kinda bland, nothing a bit of salt and pepper didn’t fix. The DESSERT! I got the chocolate mouse, it was the cutest thing I’d every seen! Shaped like Mickey and they even put a little chocolate circle for his face. It was a bit rich for me, tasted great with the raspberries, but once I was out, I had to stop eating it. My bf’s dessert trumped mine! He got the crème brûlée. This was the most magical thing I’ve ever tasted. He’s not much of sweets person, so we shared it and it was amazing. I’d come back just for that. I love dessert and I was blown away by it. Overall, a good place to eat. Great atmosphere, server was very informative and friendly, good was good, dessert was the highlight.

I heard it through the grapevine that the burger here was this amazing find and couldn’t wait to come and order some classic cocktails and try it! I’ve eaten in the actual steakhouse and I thought it was better than Club 33’s food. We finally tried the lounge and I can honestly say, I will stick with the steakhouse from now on. It was a major disappointment to come in and see they have the same cocktail menu that you find all over the resort. They do this at the bars on the Queen Mary now and it’s made the lounges less interesting. I hate when places standardize everything to the point where each individual bar lacks any real identity. The obvious exception is Trader Sam’s. Anyway, the lounge itself isn’t really conducive to eating unless you sit at the bar. The tables are more like coffee tables, so they are too low, especially when sitting on a couch or love seat. The menu has typical bar fare. We ordered easy cocktails any bartender ought to know. I had a Hendricks martini and my boyfriend had a Manhattan. I asked the bartender to put some cucumber in it instead of olives. He told me they don’t have it. OK, no problem. Well, it became a problem when our veggie and hummus platter came out and it was full of cucumber slices. So, you’re telling me, you couldn’t walk into the kitchen and ask them to chop up some as a garnish? Anyway, I got over it. The drink itself was too strong and needed to be smoother. They could learn a thing or two from Hollywood’s Musso & Frank about making a proper martini. My boyfriend said his Manhattan was way too strong too. I hate it when you’re spending $ 14 on a drink in a steakhouse lounge and it tastes like something you’d get at a dive bar. Our veggie platter was good, but we needed more hummus as the pita to sauce ratio was off. A good server would have noticed that and asked if we needed more. Let’s move on to that much-hyped burger. It’s literally just a burger. Yes, there’s bacon, but the bacon isn’t very interesting. It was literally just something you’d get at a diner. If I’m paying $ 14 for a burger at a steakhouse, I want it to be something special. This was definitely not that exceptional. The meat was clearly from a patty that was once frozen and the garnishes were just simple iceberg lettuce, raw white onion and tomato. The fries were super tiny and lacked any flavor despite their attempt to put some cheese on it. The chips my boyfriend had with his burger were also lackluster, if not a tad stale. I expect any place Disney puts their name on to be exceptional. I expect Disney to have above-average customer service. I really didn’t expect a generic hotel bar playing sports on a TV with boring food. I’ll stick to the actual restaurant from now on. Trust me, I am a burger snob, but I also appreciate lowbrow food. I just don’t like when lowbrow masquerades as highbrow in price and name only. Also, they have some of the most-outdated and least attractive bathrooms at the resort. They get bonus points for the Disneyland memorabilia in the hallway just outside the restaurant and the Autopia car you can sit in. Luckily, we stumbled into the hotel gift shop around the corner and the cast member turned my experience around. He knew Disney-level customer service and noticed what I was buying and gave me some free buttons to go along with the pins. That made the night a lot better. From now on, I will drink at Downtown Disney or at Trader Sam’s. You’re probably getting the same patty over there for much cheaper.

Came here around 5:30, 6pm on a Saturday after working up an appetite while waiting in lines at the main park. It is a completely different world here, amidst all the chaos just like a mile down the road. It’s a little tricky to find, but it’s right next to Goofy’s Kitchen. The lounge is right outside the steakhouse, and is dimly lit… in a good way. We came to the steakhouse to eat dinner, but when we checked in, the host said that we would have to wait approximately 60+ min for a table if all the reservation parties showed up(we just came here on a whim, so we didn’t have a reservation). She also said that we could just have a seat at the bar if we didn’t want to wait, and order from the full menu, so we went ahead and did that. In a way, sitting at the bar was much better since we didn’t suit up, and it’s more casual. I wanted a fruity drink, and honestly all their cocktails looked so good. Their mixed drinks are about $ 9 each. I ended up getting a mojito-type cocktail. Don’t remember the name, but it was pretty good. It was sweet, but not too sweet to overpower the liquor. It could have been stronger, but I was pretty content. We both had the bone in ribeye steak with 55 rub, both medium and shared an order of the mac and cheese. Sourdough bread and a small pot of butter came complimentary with the meal. The bread on the inside was so soft and moist, and the crust was just perfect — flaky and crisp/chewy. It had a sourdough smell, but didn’t have an overwhelming sourdough flavor which made me want more bread. The bartender was very nice and hospitable. He went to check on our order a few times, but honestly, we were just happy to relax, eat our bread, and listen to the sounds of ambient noise. At last our meal came out, and oh my gosh it looked so delicious, and it sure was. I was melting in my seat. The edges of the steak had the most flavor from the rub, and the meat just melted in my mouth. Super juicy and tender. Although, I did notice that one side was medium, and the other side was medium rare… but, I’ll take that over medium well and well done anyday. By the end of the meal, all I wanted to do was pick up the bone and nibble it until all the flavor was gone. The mac and cheese was light and creamy, and had good flavor(4 different cheeses), but it didn’t really wow me. We took another order of bread to-go, and also got strawberry lemonade on the house which was pretty awesome. Overall, this is the best steak I’ve had in… forever, and I would come back here, especially, now that I know that I don’t have to pay $ 15 for parking.

This place is crackin’… with a bunch of rowdy 40 year olds. No, really. I came here on a Friday night and the bar was packed with convention go-ers. Our first choice was to go to Trader Sam’s but there was a wait for a table so we wandered our way into the Lounge at the Steakhouse 55. My friend and I sat on the big comfy sofa chairs and picked up a menu to figure out what to order. I wanted wine and decided on the disney wine, Magicale. Oh, Magicale was magical; an extra fruity, sweet red wine. My friend stuck with his faithful, Stella. The service was fast and it was the perfect way to end the work week. The people sitting at the bar were so rowdy that we could barely hear ourselves talk. Thats fine though, I understand that they were just having a good time– but it could of easily felt like I was at a family party with all of my drunk uncles and aunts. Can you say awkward? At the end of the night the bartender even gave us a free drink on the house because he knew that it was getting a little too loud at the bar. How nice is that? That nice gesture lead us to picking a seat at the bar with the loud convention-ers and they bought everyone at the bar a few rounds. What a weird night, but it was definitely a night worth Unilocaling about! Definitely a different crowd than at Trader Sam’s but still a great little place to have a night cap after a day at the parks or after dinner.

So this is just a little bar located outside of the Steakhouse 55 Restaurant(which I’ve given a 5 star review in the past) with a few lounge chairs around too so you don’t have to sit at the bar or stand. You can get drinks before dinner, or if you don’t want a formal dining experience, the full food menu is open to the lounge people(the food is excellent). It’s set inside the Disneyland Hotel so while the restaurant is richly decorated, the lounge just kind of sits in a corner of the public hotel areas, so the ambiance isn’t as nice. The bartenders there are a little challenged with speaking English, but thats okay because they more than make up for it with courtesy and friendly banter. They’re also good at what they do, there wasn’t a drink I or anyone around me named that they couldn’t make. Drink prices were higher than most bars but not so much if you’re splurging. Or rich. Foods also a bit pricey for something you’d order at a bar. Liquor and beer selection isn’t the best of the best but it’s not bad. Try some of the signature cocktails. They’re delicious. Theres a couple of TV’s at the bar and you can generally have the bartenders switch to a channel you wanna watch. Unless someone else already claimed the TV. The Disneyland Hotel is generally more expensive and the restaurant is high end so theres a good chance that someone rich and snobby will join you at the bar(not implying that all rich people are snobby but, they’re more likely to be snobby than people who go to dive bars). For the most part it’s friendly enough people. They’re at Disneyland after all. Or celebrating an occasion. I tend to come in here before dinner at Steakhouse 55 or if I’m killing some time before seeing world of color or something. Or if I leave Disneyland early but don’t quite want to call it a night yet. Great place.

Steakhouse was full so we opted to eat dinner at the bar. Full menu and great service. We both had the prime rib, what a great piece of meat! Bartenders are funny and fast. We will be back and most likely choose to dine in the lounge. BTW, drinks are awesome! Wonderful breakfast and reasonable!

I have been going to this little bar since it was called Top Brass. I like what they did to it, however I do find myself missing the old menu. The new menu has some notable bites, like the pizettas and sliders, but the prices are a little steep. The service is always pleasant and attentive. The bartender was generous with the cherry bourbon drink I ordered. The bar area itself is quiet, but don’t forget it is located in the Disneyland Hotel, right next to Goofy’s kitchen.

I’ve had drinks here twice within the last month. Three times if you count the night I had pre-dinner AND post-dinner drinks here. The Lounge is tucked away at Disneyland Hotel away from the hullabaloo surrounding the Disneyland Resort — well, it is right next to Goofy’s Kitchen so you’ll still get little kids, Disney characters and families of tourists hanging around. I’ve never had food here but have had and sipped the following: the Red Grape Sensation(a cocktail made with sugar, sugar and sugar flavored vodka basically), a bottle of the Malbec, the Pear Martini, the Kentucky Peach and some drink with orange juice and Grand Marnier(I’m sure it had a cute, quirky name — I just can’t remember it right now). The Red Grape Sensation goes down as my favorite drink on this side of the Park. I described it as tasting like an «Otter Pop.» If you don’t know what an Otter Pop is, you are too young to be using the internet. And obviously too young to imbibe alcohol. All other drinks were okkkaaayyyyy… Except for the Pear Martini which tasted like chilled bourbon and nothing like a pear. The last time we went, we met up with friends to watch the Lakers game(I had made dinner reservations at the Steakhouse and timed it so by the time we got out of dinner, we were able to meet up with friends for the game). The good news is: there was no crowd — and I’m sure there was a crowd at ESPN Zone. The bad news is: there is only one screen, which is small, and you can barely see it. Nobody paid attention to the game anyway. Other weird quirks about the Lounge: they close out your tab each time you order drinks. And our waitress(who was also the waitress the last time I went) was upselling HARD. I just want to drink and shit talk in peace and not have to worry about, «Oh man, should I have bought tequila shots? Is our Vietnamese waitress judging me because I am being cheap and splitting a bottle of wine?» or «Man, a double Maker’s Mark on ice was sort of a bad idea, even if it only costs $ 1.50 for an extra shot. How do I finish this second double Maker’s Mark on ice that the waitress sold me on by implying I’m not a real man?» Great things about the Lounge: it’s fancy and you feel fancy sitting there. They close late. Service is friendly(it’s Disney after all). Next time I want to have a relaxing time enjoying cocktails and martinis and bottles of wine and there isn’t a Lakers’ game… I’ll probably just walk to the other side of the park to the Napa Rose Lounge.
