I ordered the ribs and they were OK but not what I am used to. The waiter noticed I was not enjoying the food so he called the manager and she came over and was very very nice I told her I really didn’t like the ribs but it’s OK I will still pay for them and she insisted that she take them off the bill. everything else was great. Thank you and I will be back in the future.

Believe it or not, I’ve never been to a Rain Forest Café. I’ve heard of the whole ambience etc but it’s never been a place that was on my restaurant bucket list. We only came here because my cousin received a GC and wanted to get rid of it. It’s located in DT Disney and as you know, anything related to Disney, parking is gonna be a B! Then after made a million circles, stalking people hoping they walk to their car and not trick you and disappear to the other side and if you’re lucky, they might point to their car that’s in your vicinity, you have to walk your hungry tush over to the restaurant ANDTHEN wait in line to put your freaking name in. On a Saturday night, it wasn’t as bad as we thought but decided to try and find a table at the bar(open seating) The menus they gave was super sticky. The food was AIIIGHT but waaaaaaaaaay over priced for what it was. I had the pastalaya which was recommended by the bartender. It had a kick to it and had a good amount of protein but the chix was dried, it was greasy and the bread was so hard… It was basically a large croûton on my plate. Walked out and thought to myself, with the parking situation(and make sure you get it validated), walking to the restaurant, fighting off the crowd + lines… It’s just not worth it. I’ll pass.

If I could give this place no stars I would. Maybe even negative stars. So I USED to go here every time I would go to Disneyland. There was an issue that had happened in the past where I talked to the manger on duty and he said«thanks I’ll look into it». Well obviously the customer and their concerns are the least of their worries. I had taken my mom to Disneyland, she hasn’t been there in years and was really excited about this whole day. I flew in from Washington to California for this. Half way through we were starving and she wanted to eat at rainforest café. We had checked in and was told our table would be ready soon. We started the waiting game and a hour passed. I went to the host stand where I asked them how long does it typically take when you get you alert text message. She then sat my party of 3 at a table for 6. 2 and a half hours later we leave with our dinners. Time wasted where I could of been enjoying this time with my mom in the park. The food was ok. The service from the waiter was fine. But I really am very disappointed in the experience and the time wasted because of this restaurant. Time that I can’t get back with my mom.

The ambience is nice and entertaining to see. It is noisy so be prepare for that. There is a show every half an hour or so, if u are not near an exit or window you can enjoy the show quite well. Food is pricey but good. I like the shop they sell a lot of interesting things.

As a Landry’s Select member, the wait for a 4 person table during peak hours is usually 15 – 20 minutes. I receive $ 25 towards my bill about twice a year(once for a birthday, the other after spending a certain amount of money). The quality of the food is decent. The service is sometimes slow and clumsy, but quickly compensated with free dessert once told to the manager. The arrangement of the tables is a very tight squeeze on the second floor, downstairs it’s much better. The terrace floor offers outside balcony seating and also the hidden gem of a small area of tables inside that comes with its own aquarium and calm, less chaotic ambience. Would recommend requesting to be seated on the terrace level for a more relaxed experience or if trying to seat a good sized party birthday party. Lastly, As a major chicken tender enthusiast, I must say that Rainforest Café can make some of best chicken tenders in the world. And I’ve tried just about every chicken tender recipe and version sold. Not always the best but even when they aren’t they’re still pretty good.

Came in for a Bachelorette dinner with 9 ladies. I came 15 minutes after everyone else had been seated. Food orders had not been taken yet but some of the girls had ordered drinks. I waited 15 minutes and decided to get my drink directly from the bar since no one had come to take orders. Got my drink and came back to the table just in time to place my dinner order. We waited almost an hour. They started bringing some food out and the first person to bite into their food had pickles which they had requested to have removed from their dish. The bride got very upset and had to speak with the manager to cancel our orders. Apparently our server that had started left on her break and was covered by another server. When our original server came back we had to deal with the issues. Carrie our original server who came back was so pleasant and helpful throughout the whole experience. She worked with the manager to comp all of our drinks and even gave us each a free Rainforest Café cocktail glass. The restaurant is decorated like a rainforest in true Disney fashion. The drinks were super expensive(my blood mary, which was luckily comped, was almost $ 20 with tip). The menu looked awful too… I’m certain the food is not quality. Would not come back here… plenty of other places in Downtown Disney to eat.

OK, I know most of you are like what? 4 stars for Rainforest Café? Yes, I am actually quite surprised myself. I was expecting the worst, especially drawing in from my past experiences and from all the reviews I was reading. We only decided to go here for two reasons… One, gift card from Landry’s given to us and Rainforest was one of the choices they had around here. Two, to take our son to enjoy the atmosphere of this place. So my husband and I were dreading eating here at first just because we’ve been here years ago and remembered the food not being good at all. This last experience has erased all those bad memories away. I actually would give them 4.5 stars! The only con was that the food takes a long time to make but besides that everything was great! Food, service, atmosphere: We got seated right in front of the aquarium which was awesome! Our son enjoyed it so much. Our waiter was super nice and attentive, and quite quirky lol. Moving on to the main part… FOOD! My husband ordered the Rainforest burger with bacon which I remember years ago wasn’t that good. I was so hesitant on what to order so I thought I would go for a safer choice which was the Chinese Chicken Salad. And a pizza kids meal for our son. Food did take a while to get, but we were impressed! My husband said his burger was so good, better than Red Robin’s for sure and more than some of the other burger joints. Fries were fresh and tasty. My salad was amazing, and probably one of the better Asian chicken salads I have had. The chicken was thinly sliced and the salad also had ramen pieces in it(not the store kind). Nothing was salty, which is my biggest food pet peeve! My son’s pizza was delicious and it was the soft bread kind which makes it easier for children to eat. I know they had definitely improved their food quality and probably have been listening or reading to reviewers. Maybe this change took place quite recently because everyone around us was really happy about their meals and talking about it. Yes the prices are a bit high but with the quality going up, it makes more sense than it did before. Glad we got to try RC again and this time we won’t have any negative feelings towards it.

We picked this place to celebrate my daughters birthday. I read the reviews and I was expecting a horrible experience, based on those reviews. The people at the front doing reservations are rude and snotty. But probably because they are so busy… Not sweating that. I read someone had their stroller stolen so I asked how Id be able to take it in. They said«if the baby is asleep.» Great! «She was sleeping» lol Food was great! I also had a coronarita and some punch cocktail and they were really good! My servers name was Amanda and she made the experience fun with her excellent attitude and attentiveness! $ 93 for 2 dinners, 2 kids meals and 4 cocktails then gave her more than 20% tip. Not typically what I like to spend, but it was my daughters Bday. Oh well! :) We had a great time!

I like this restaurant! Nice service and good food. Love the forrest ambience with animals in action! I come here when I visit Disneyland! Came on a Wednesday after 9:30pm thinking that there won’t be a wait, but there’s still an almost 30-minute-wait. They will call your name, so you can hang out at their retail store to check out things or hang out at the bar for drink. I had some doubt on their Tuna Poke Tower before I ordered it. I tried and found it tasted really good.(Fresher than their picture in the menu!) It came with a lot of avocado chunks, which totally elevated the flavor. The chips looked oily, but it’s very crisp and crunchy. They come with soy sauce on the side for the pole, but you don’t need it. It’s already marinated and flavorful. Their Coconut Shrimp is a must-try. You can have it as an appetizer or with a combo. Their food is not cheap, but the portion is pretty big. I had the Rainbow Colada, which was sweet and alcoholic. The ice blended drink came in pink strawberry color, topped with whipped cream. I ordered the 21 oz that came with a souvenir cup, which I could choose the design. I picked the cool Tiki cup to bring back home! I signed up for the Landry Select Club in my previous visit here. I had to pay $ 25 initiation fee to be a club member, but it pays for itself afterwards. I have been accumulating restaurant credit rewards since! 4 hours parking validation at Downtown Disney parking!

Super kitschy and cheesy, but that’s what you come here for! Not the food which is average, not the drinks which are too sweet and watered down, not for the prices which are too high for what you get, but the fun vibe! If you’re not into super cheesy and a tad bit over done, don’t come here! Given its proximity to Disneyland, I’m assuming you MIIIIIGHT be into that kind of thing. If so, this is so much fun! Here’s what you need to know: –There’s a giant all Rainforest Café things gift shop. If you’re with kids and want to avoid them wanting to buy everything in sight, try to stay away until your table is called and then just walk straight through. –The entire ambiance is OVERTHETOP done up like a rainforest, with fake trees, animatronic butterflies, and so much more! The lights go down and the gorillas put on a quick show every 15 minutes. That show gets old FAST but it’s really fun the first few times. If you or anyone in your party tends to get over stimulated or can’t handle too much chaos, this is not the place for you. On a similar note, this place is so fun for kids, but if your kids tend to get overwhelmed easily, they might find it a bit too much. –Request the kids activity book whether you come with kids or adults. It’s packed with fun activities to do while you wait! Our table got really into challenging each other to see who could do the mazes, word searches, etc the fastest. I thought this place was so much fun, but I’m also the type of person who goes to Disneyland every two weeks. If you’re looking for something fun, kitschy, and oh so very cheesy, this place is worth a try. Just come with an open mind and a sense of humor!

Great ambiance. Long wait. Food was OK but needs some imagination. Should have jungle theme dishes. Friendly staff. We got four 22 oz. New Castles and a small piña colada. Spinach and artichoke dip came with chips. Hubby, baby, and I split the trio which is bbq pork ribs, coconut thai shrimp, steak, french fries and coleslaw. Total bill was about $ 90. 3 stars for the food, 5 stars for the environment.

We came here after the Star Wars half marathon. It wasn’t our first choice, but it was the only place that wasn’t busy at the time. Definitely not a place for an adult, but it was a big hit with my two kids and my sister in law kid. Don’t expect to get blown away by the food because you won’t, but the service was a 5 stars. With our party 10 our waiter did an excellent job. As for the food this is what was ordered. Clam Chowder: It was rich creamy and had a lot of clams that was a good thing. The bad was it didn’t had a hint of taste of the clam. It was more of an earthy taste. I guess they over did it with all herbs. Ahi Poke Tower: This was their special! This was the taste less poke ever. Where’s the seasoning? Just your plan avocado as your base and plan tomatoes and tuna. With three dots of wasabi aioli for presentation. Like all what the Unilocalers said, The Rain Forest Café isn’t for adults and the food isn’t great. But the restaurant will keep your kids entertain for 45 minutes.

Yes, it’s a chain. Yes, it’s expensive. Yes, there’s usually a huge wait, but you know what? I’ve always had good experiences here. If you’re a Lawry’s cardholder you get to skip the wait, which is really useful for this location. To come here, you have to brave the parking lot though, and that is a whole other beast in itself, depending on when you come. If you are not a Lawry’s cardholder and/or are impatient, I would not recommend this restaurant. However, if you have kids or if you are interested in having a nice change in ambiance with your lunch or dinner, then I would give this restaurant a try. I have been to this location twice, and both times, the service has been amazing. However, I did go with a Lawry’s cardholder, so my experience will probably not reflect yours unless you have that card. There was a very minimal(less than 10 minute) wait each time I’ve gone here, but the servers are always really nice and accommodating. You can request to be seated by the waterfall and I think there are some tables by fish tanks as well. Regardless, the restaurant literally comes to life with animal noises and occasional stampedes. If you look up, you can see shooting stars. I’ve tried the Caribbean coconut fried shrimp here which comes with cole slaw, mango sauce, and a choice of side. They have the usual sides: fries, rice, veggies, cole slaw, mashed potatoes, and chips. I went with fries. The shrimp were okay. They were properly cleaned and while the crust was seasoned, it was a really basic dish. The fries were good, though I can’t say as much for the coleslaw. I’ve also tried their portabello wrap which was wrapped in a tomato basil tortilla. Inside of the tortilla there were spinach, red onions, roasted red peppers, grilled portobello mushrooms, and roasted garlic balsamic dressing. This was a much better choice than the fried shrimp. The wrap did get a little soggy because of the dressing at the end, but regardless, it still tasted really great. For dessert, they do this huge brownie volcano with ice cream, and it is pretty memorable especially for a child’s birthday.

We came with a gift card. The three of us ordered one sampler plate, a drink with a souviner glass and some french fries. Somehow it came to $ 50? Not at all inexpensive. We did manage to feed the 3 of us nicely, no one went away hungry. And we do have a cool glass now. We usually do this once for Breakfast and get a better deal, I think.

The Pastalaya was amazing! Noodles with a jambalaya twist. I know it’s not authentic jambalaya, but it has perfect blend of spice and good amount of chicken, sausage, and shrimp. It’s a great place to get fed after a good half day in the park. I love Disneyland but trying to feed a family there can be expensive. Plus it was a great opportunity for the kids to look at a bunch of nice stuff to buy. Kids love the Rain Forest Café because of the animation that goes on there. They have a great gift shop before entering the restaurant. Service was great even in a Saturday and wait was only about 15 minutes. I did not sign up for their rewards program and their affiliates, but I guess it doesn’t get you priority seating if you have it.

I’m not sure why there are so many low-rated reviews, but my experience was great and I’m usually very critique about every detail. My family all spontaneously decided to celebrate NYE at downtown disney just because we can have somewhere to celebrate. Parking was $ 30, but you can get a refund if you dine at one of the table-servicing restaurants. We all chose rainforest café due to pricing and wait times. Compared to other parties who had to wait 2 hours, my family of four only had to wait 20 minutes which is not bad at all! We were seated upstairs at a table and our server, Andrew, immediately greeted us and took orders for drinks. As for food, my family ordered from their islands menu. For me, I got the Taste of the Islands dish. Food came out about 10 – 15 minutes later and it smelled great! My dish consisted of fish, fried shrimp, and a scallop bowl with a side of Caribbean rice. Definitely recommended if you’re craving seafood! Andrew was very helpful and even the manager stopped by to greet us. Great and friendly service. Thank you!

We had never been to a Rainforest Café prior to our visit, but we had always wanted to. It looks so cool from the outside with their big adorable tree frog and kitschy gift shop. That was where the cool factor ended for me. It took for-ev-er to be seated and we came at off peak hours. Then it took for-ev-er to get our drinks like literally almost a half an hour passed by. The server’s explanation for that was that she had made up the whole tray of drinks and then someone came by and spilled it by accident. So she made them again and someone spilled them all again. I don’t buy it, but even if that unfortunate double accident had occurred, come tell us maybe instead of leaving us waiting? The«show» left much to be desired. It just rains and the animals come to life for a few seconds a few times an hour. Maybe I am spoiled by the cliff divers of Casa Bonita in Denver or the late Mayan restaurant in Utah. The food was average. Nothing special. The price was extremely high for what you get. We spent almost two full precious hours here eating when we could have been enjoying Disneyland. I’ll just stay in the park and get a corn dog next time.

We were at Downtown Disney for Ian’s birthday. We had always noticed Rainforest café at MGM during our numerous visits to Vegas. Somehow we never dined at this restaurant. So, we did not pass up a chance to eat this restaurant. We gave our name at the counter, checked out The Lego Store, purchased souvenirs at the rainforest store before our name was called. We ordered couple of cocktails(got their souvenir cup), Mojo Bones(Ribs), Pardise Pot Roast, chicken tenders. Total with tax and tips came to $ 84.63. Pros: They take your reservation, and text you when a table is about to open.(+1) Ambiance was unique: –Feels like a rainforest. Muggy and dark. Felt like the monsoon season in India :) –Rain effects every 30 minutes. –Gorilla was grunting and was animated every 10 minute where we were seated. Souvenir shop. It felt like we were in Vegas. Our waiter got Ian a birthday cupcake with a candle lit on top of it. The crew sang a song and made Ian’s day(+2) Cons: Ribs could have been better(–1) We will be back to check their other menu offerings.

The food here is pretty decent but there is always a long wait. Their decoration are amazing and a unique experience. I came here at around 11:00AM on a weekday and opted to sit in the bar area as it was a 30 minute wait. The food was just as good and the non-alcoholic drinks were good and not overly syrupy. Overall it’s not a bad place to eat, but considering the area it’s at there’s a bunch of wonderful restaurants that’s worth giving a try because bottom line the Rainforest Café is just another restaurant chain and there are more out there.
