I’ve lived around the corner from this place for like 8 months and finally decided to try — and the drive-​thru no less — tonight. I order the 9 piece sashimi & 4 piece sushi combo. The guy who took my order was patient while I figured out what I wanted and then very politely took my order before directing me around to the window where he took payment. Although not complicated, I was still kind of impressed that my order was ready to go in under 5 minutes. When I got home, I was a bit bummed to discover there was no rice included except the 4 pieces of nigiri sushi but figured there was plenty of fish so it would be fine. The fish was edible but didn’t seem particularly fresh either and I definitely needed to make use of the soy sauce. While I wouldn’t rush back, if I was desperate & starving, I’d eat it. That said, there are much better places to go to in OC.

We walked in right before closing however the service was friendly and they explained the menu and answered any questions we had. We had a total of 4 rolls and 3 soups. The service and food were great

I love this place. I either get a baked salmon roll, California roll and recently changed it up to a beef bowl. Seriously I love their rice it’s not dry like some places it’s (sticky rice) the way rice is suppose to be. They always have some special going on with rolls. It’s reasonably priced and I never leave not satisfied. If you don’t like big crowed don’t go around lunch time I’ve tried different times of the day sometimes it just us and a few other couples to other times where people are standing waiting for a table it gets intense, but hey that says a lot about a business the staff here is always nice they say hello when you enter and thank you when you leave. There is parking all along the building.

Food is ok. Service not so great we seated for about 10 minutes before they took our order. When we finally got our food the plates where sticky and dirty. I had heard from my coworkers the food was good and they said to only do take out, now i understand why. Dirty restaurant dirty plates crappy service.

Has some sushi and teriyaki bento box.
Sushi were fresh, but teriyaki chicken were dry and chewy.
Tempura batter was too hard.
I wouldn’t recommend teriyaki bento box.

This place is a great place for lunch! I usually get the crunch roll but now I’m addicted to the lobster popcorn roll! Prices are pretty reasonable for what I’m getting. I will definitely be back!

2nd review update …
Its pretty much my go to spot now whenever I am craving for crunch roll or bento box… It’s literally 5 mins away from my house :)
My previous review mentioned it has a drive thru, they still do but if you don’t want to wait on your order I highly suggest calling the order in first.
Service is great! Each and every time I come I am greeted upon walking in and seated right away. They come by your table often to check up on you and make sure you are good…
They usually get fair capacity, not too slow or too busy… I’ve never had to wait to get seated.
I gave them a 4 star previously because of the location… Its really hard to get out if the parking with on coming traffic constantly but… Because everything else is great I will surpass that and give them the one star :)

Their Oishi roll is sooo good! Really fresh and light. The food came out quickly and I had no problems with the service, but maybe thats because im not a jerk like a lot of people I’ve seen. As a server myself I thought they were great. Would recommend!
Ps I was skeptical about the oreo tempura ice cream but omggg it was amazing!

Great place to go when you get that sushi cravings. The sushi tasted fresh and the rolls were so tasty. I really enjoyed the service you get from this place. The staffs are so welcoming and friendly.
Their popcorn lobster roll and dragon crunch rolls are my favorite. Complimentary miso soup when you dine in and free icecream on the way out!!! I definitely want to try more rolls! You can go for the combo box which gives you a good amount of food which gives you variety of items.
Outside might not seem pretty but the inside is very clean and comfortable. Price is good and great food! I definitely recommend this place to others.

This is my favorite sushi place in Anaheim every time we come here everyone is super nice they seat you right away and they bring your drinks very quickly as you enter you see a few guys making the sushi, our food is always fresh we never had a bad experience also their prices are not bad at all.

Definitely don’t judge a book by its cover. This place is delicious. Granted, I haven’t tried much on their menu though, because I love their «special boxes» so much. For only like, 10 dollars, these special boxes come in a bento looking box, and you get salad, vegetable tempura, California rolls, rice, and your choice of entrée. And you get miso soup as an appetizer. It’s a great deal! I really recommend them.
It’s a cute small place that I love bringing friends to. Our waiters have always kind of been very awkward with not a lot of people skills, but never has it been an issue. Food comes out quickly as well. Overall, a nice place to try!

This place is right across the street from me and always busy… so I finally decided to try it. GLAD I DID! Their food is great, their service is great, their prices are good, and the beer is CHEAP! $ 3.50 for a large Beer. And they also have a FREE ice cream station!!! Can’t beat this please. Great quality for a reasonable price! And they even have a drive through!
I will definitely be here again!!!

Maki Sushi Has Tasty Teriyaki
We stopped by hungry for s late post-​Disneyland dinner.
I was surprised how nice it is in inside. I always thought this was a fast food restaurant. They have booths and table service.
I had the salmon skin salad which was tasty. It had lightly cooked meaty salmon skins, a bunch of bonito chips, cucumber, tomato, cabbage, lettuce and some tasty seaweed.
We both tried the beef teriyaki which was delicious and the kalbi ribs which were good too.
They had some trouble letting us order the kalbi ribs aka carte. We are low carbohydrate dieters and didn’t want tempura or rice or California rolls but we got them anyway.
Four stars for food, reduced by one for inability to order entrée aka carte.

Maki Yucki… Its sad when my husband and I came here for a lunch date and ended up going someplace else after. We didn’t want to rack up a huge bill so we went for rolls off the happy hour menu. Octopus roll, crab roll, and yellowtail roll. Every. single. one was bland and the only thing you could taste was the celery. We tossed in a hand roll to try, that was’t terrible but not good enough to make us want to come back. Biggest disappointment of $ 25. Not to mention, the green tea taste like morning breath. So gross.
Only saving grace was the free self serve ice cream they offer but even that needs improvement as the scoop situation is pretty gross and very unsanitary. You have no idea where peoples hands have been and now they’re all up in the creamed goods… that didn’t come out right! haha

I have lived in Anaheim for just over a year now and sushi is one of my favorite foods to eat, I will be completely honest and say Maki Sushi is BY FAR my favorite sushi spot. I have eaten here well over 10 times and have never been displeased. Their food is always delicious, always fresh, always quick and ALWAYS CORRECT!!! (This is the only place I go to regularly and hasn’t messed up my order) The waiters/​waitresses are always friendly and the cooks always greet me when I arrive and thank me when I leave…
THEY HAVE A DRIVE THRU! What other sushi spot has a drive thru?! 100pts!!!
I can’t say enough nice things about this place… love you MAKI!!! (Heartsssssss)
