The food just doesn’t taste good at all, they don’t make food they would eat themselves. Just looking to make money, for example a bad tasting $ 7 burger. Also the service wasn’t good, the two guys there were bothered that I wanted to order food. The Mexican place next door is way better.

We went down town for tacos. Sat at bar for 30 minutes and asked twice to be served and no one available. Bartender was cooking. There were at least 6 people waiting for drinks ! Beers were not cold

I love the Junk Bar and the Healthy Junk restaurant! Their food is vegan and that’s just vegetarian double plus good. I love that, as a vegetarian, I can eat anything from them and their alcoholic offerings are organic. Which I don’t really care about, I just care about the ABV of the beer I choose to drink during that particular visit. Last time I was there, I had the Stone Pale Ale, which was a 7. something% ABV. It went very well with the Better BLT I had that night. I am gonna go here again, and again and again. I freakin love this place. I feel so lucky that it is located in my home town, a mere 5 minute drive from my house. I have to give a nod to the«bartender» they had on duty. He poured a foamy headed beer and he knew it. To make up for it, he poured us another glass of beer each for free. There were people drinking wine and they were totally taking advantage of the guys admitted bad pouring. He literally said, «I don’t know what i’m doing. Is this good enough?» The wife of the guy he asked this to, came up to the bar and told him to fill her glass up more… and he did. Can you imagine that happening in any other bar? Excuse me, my drink is not alcoholic enough, can you pour more for free? Well, I like this place and I really think you should go here. Give it a try, don’t let that it’s vegan hold you back. You won’t be able to tell the difference. And it’s just damn Good Food!

They just keep it simple, a couple beers, a couple bottles, and a few selections of wine. It’s part of Healthy Junk and in the middle of the little food area on Center street in Anaheim. The set up is awesome, the bar is in the middle and there are 4(?) food places in the space so everybody gets what they want although every time I have been in Healthy Junk in the only one open on a weekend during the day. There is a nice patio on the street for you to enjoy your libations. It is especially great on nights when Anaheim has the Art Walk, it is near the stage and you can watch all the people go by. I wouldn’t call this a destination to go to but it is awesome that you can get your beer and vegan on in one spot.

SO delicious! Came here with my meat-eating husband and got him to try it out. He loved it, as do I. Service was fantastic and so were their beer selections. We look forward to visiting as often as possible!

I wish the small food court this bar is in was busier. Every time I visit it’s so empty, and I wish it wasn’t! They have some of the best beers! All organic beers and ciders also, some sangria! They even have a happy hour. Definitely check this place out!

I really wanted to love this place, especially considering I dragged my hungry brother and fiancé with me because I INSISTED on eating at a vegan joint. I went on hiatus and incorporated dairy and eggs back into my diet but I’ve decided to transition back to a strict vegetarian/vegan diet. Anyway, long story short my brother ordered the portabello burger(really greasy for some strange reason), my fiancé ordered the tacos which she liked, we split the Anaheim chili burger and tomato basil flatbread pizza. The burger was gross. The chilies were huge but def lacked flavor so I had to get a side of ranch and a side of ketchup. The cheese in the burger is so gross! I tried really hard to eat it but I was feeling the gag reflex activate so I scraped it off. However…the flatbread pizza was off the hook! The marinara is delicious and flavorful and the cheese looks and tastes like mozzarella! I kept saying there’s no way this is vegan, it’s amazing. The fries are pretty good too. Would I come back? Probably not… but good luck to them!

So this is my first time here. The female bartender Tracy is amazing. My buddy and I played a few games of pool and she walked over several times to check if we needed anything. There’s probably 10 patrons in here but the attentive positive personalities that work here make the place feel comfortable. It’s a great place for a couple friends to just kick back. Thanks for a great first!

Totally dead for 7pm on a Saturday night. I like that the beers on tap has it’s own little bar. Simple menu makes it easy to decide. I had the Philly Cheesesteak and it was REALLY mediocre. The meat didn’t taste very seasoned– unlike my experience with faux meats; You HAVE to season the shit out of it for it to taste like anything. I did however, appreciate the attempt. The cheese substitution they used was good and I wouldn’t have eaten any more of it if it weren’t for the cheese. My boyfriend had the Spicy Chicken Sandwich which was A LOT better. We ended up trading. Our chili cheese fries were good, I’d definitely order that again. Overall, I feel like Healthy Junk is a nice transition for Orange County and it’s expansion of options for vegetarians/vegans, but the execution needs some work. I really enjoy the idea of pairing craft beer with alternative cuisine and the place is cute as hell. I have faith that the quality of the food will get better and I’d give the place another shot after they get a little more established.

The challenge with Center street is, nothing looks open. I walked up the bar, dog leash in hand Andy neighbor And I had a full discussion about whether they were open, because there was nobody in the building who was a clearly marked employee. Right about the time I pointed at the jar of cash and said they’re open, somebody walked up. She shrugged off my dog and we paid 15 $ for two beers after tip. The beef was fine. I understand why the employees are bored, there’s not many people to serve, but there’s not many people because people like me, who walk here, never think anything is going to be open. At least the wine bad is committed to staying open till 10. These other places close when there are no customers, almost guaranteeing no future customers… especially when locals feel like they should go to Rubys, because steady they are always open…

Located in the heart of Downtown Anaheim, Junk Bar has a nice spread of vegan cuisine from fish tacos to IPAs. The service is excellent and prompt. Prices are very reasonable as we had 3 meals/appetizers, 3 beers, and 2 teas for under $ 45. It’s located in the same shared space as Cervantes Mexican Food, just in case you need a dose of Chilaquiles. Great place, feel compelled to bring your appetite!

Looking for some organic beer to quench your inner green? Then consider Junk Bar because that’s all they have on tap. Though their taps do rotate regularly, they currently have Uinta brewing, Eel River, Napa Smith, and a few others on tap. They range from IPAs, blondes, pales, and stouts(about 6 items on tap). They also have Organic Samuel Smith bombers if that tickles your fancy. They don’t have hard liquor, but they do have champagne cocktails and sangria. To me, this organic beer bar is just icing on the cake when you get your grub on at Healthy Junk. They’re not the best beers you’ve ever had, but keep in mind that these are«organic.» Who knows if organic beer is healthier… but still, they are solid beers. Note: A sampler flight for $ 6 includes 4 taster samples of your choice. A pint, or should I say a masonry jar or beer ranges from $ 5.50 to $ 6.50. Pretty good prices! Don’t forget to check-in on Unilocal for 10% off your first round! 4 stars!

Apparently I previously combined my junk bar + healthy junk review into one. My bad. Part of the reason my review for healthy junk fared off better was because of the organic and vegan beers served by this adorably themed bar. We ordered a couple beers here and I truly appreciated they were frosty cold. The bartender at the time knew what he was doing, how to properly pour a beer, and had a fair knowledge of what they were serving. Very cool, Junk bar. Keep it up.

Short-n-sweet: unique selection but a little low key on the vibe. This is part of the Craft Beer Crawl Anaheim Promenade. Story Time: I had heard about the junk bar through other Unilocalers and from an feature I found in some magazine about restaurants. I finally got to try it when I went to the ACE thing that is held in Anaheim I think between April and November once a month. I felt it was a good time to try this great craft beer joint. It’s part of the«Good Junk» scene on the Anaheim Promenade, next door to the skating rink. I thought I was going to see some crazy beer listed like«Tofu Brew» or «Kale Sour Ale.» Afterall, this bar was promoting VEGAN beers. That sounded weird to me who has tried lots and read lots on beer. But I was completely out on left field with such crazy presumptions. They offered beer from well respected breweries such as Epic and Great Divide! The only problem I found was that on a night like Monday through Thurs there wasn’t much of a scene here at all! In fact I almost felt a little and easy being there but nonetheless if you’re going to do a craft beer crawl through Anaheim promenade you have to hit this place! It’s totally worth your time and the service is fantastic! but I sure hope they get more crowds, and more of a scene as time goes on otherwise I think this entire promenade isn’t going to do well

Seriously what a gem! Growing up in Anaheim vegan restaurants are hard to come by. So on Thursday during the farmers market(which is every week) decided to drop in. I felt really welcomed not just by the bartender but by the friendly owner as well. She really knew her stuff. Explaining ingredients and even the origins of the beers on draft. As for food? Try the wings! Ill be stopping by again soon to try a burger, pizza, or salad. Remember it’s all vegan so no meat or dairy. PS it’s chez not cheese.

We stopped at Junk Bar after looking at apartments right across the street. It’s inside of a food court with a few other spots to include Delifornia(sorry, I just love the name of that place), a Mexican place, and another café that was only open during business hours. I’ll first say that I can’t really call the entire building a food court. When I think of food court I think of mall food that is not at all good for you. Obviously, this wasn’t that. Junk Bar is a bar based off of Healthy Junk(a vegan café) that only serves organic beer and wine. Normally, I couldn’t really care that much about something being organic or all natural. Here, I didn’t mind because the beer was actually good. It looked like they mostly have Eel River because they’re an organic brewery. The wine, well, I wasn’t looking for wine that day but I know it was organic. If we move to this area, fingers crossed we do, these people will get to know me and my face. I love beer and wine. Organic or not.

Dude. DUDE! This place is super awesome. Come here now. You won’t regret. All of their beer + wine are organic and vegan. First of it’s kind. The staff are all top-notch. Everyone takes care of you. I also love that some of the staff I talked with were ethical vegans. I wish I could live here.

What a great addition to the Good Food hall. Was walking my dogs around the neighborhood when I spotted that Delifornia was open. Stopped in and decided to wait for friends and roomates to join us in the Good Food hall and killed time at Junk Bar. One beer and one glass of red sangria later, I am a happy camper. Had the Eel River Blonde Ale from tap. Chris(the bartender) offered me a taste but I decided to just dive in. Added bonus that it was happy hour too! I later saw the bartender having some sangria and when I couldn’t find anyone to share a glass of sangria with me, decided to take one for the team and just drink a whole glass by myself. After hearing us talk about the cheeses offered at Delifornia, Chris informed us that Delifornia will prepare a cheese plate for us. This was delivered right to the bar where we were sitting. It was a delightful and surprisingly enjoyable Tuesday night. Definitely not your traditional bar — it really is just a counter that serves beer and wine in a food hall but it’s quality stuff and quality service. Can’t ask for more.

A cool spinoff of Healthy Junk restaurant is the new Junk Bar. The junk bar is a sweet spot I found while walking my dog the other night. They’ve set up a nice little tasting bar in the common area in front of Healthy Junk, Cervantes and K&A, in the mini food court that’s set up for just beer and wine. They specialize in(you guessed it) healthy fermentations. Like all organic beers and wines. They got a few pretty tasty beers on tap that are not your ordinary run of the mill brews and a few wines as well. And from what I’m told they make some pretty tasty sangria’s too. Daniel the bartender is a pretty nice guy who has no problem giving you a taster or two From the taps he’s pulling.
The pints are pretty reasonably priced for craft beer @7 a pint and they are dog friendly(patio) as well. They open at 11 and stay open ’til 8 or 10 depending on the day so they’re perfect for a little somthin’-somthin’ after work or in my case a nice stop on the daily dog walk to cool down. The buffalo stout was a great cool down beer and at over %10ABV its pretty good for the head too. I’ll be back to get my Junk on.
