My husband and I enjoy eating at Delifornia about once a week at lunch. The staff there is always happy to see us. We love this place because all the sandwiches and soups are made from the freshest ingredients and taste gourmet! They are even nice enough to let us split our sandwich and soup, this is the perfect lunch portion. Our favorite is the pastrami which was a Fall item but will be back for Spring soon. I don’t usually even eat pastrami but this place has made me a fan! The beef dip is exceptional as well. I also love the ham muffelata. Great food made by great people!

I love this place so so so much. They always have wonderful fresh sides for the sandwiches and an amazing choice of drinks. I never feel guilty eating here because the food is fresh and not over filling. All of the girls that work there are always super nice and the food comes out fast. Everything is clean and reasonably priced as well. Whenever I go in I order the turkey sandwich and then head over to junk bar to grab a beer while I’m waiting.

I had the Sourdough Turkey Sandwich which was very good. I’m not usually a fan of Sourdough bread but the bread they used paired well with the Turkey and dressing in the sandwich. I was looking forward to trying their sandwich and I’m glad I did. I’m recommending this to others who are looking for a healthy sandwich place with nice atmosphere and appeal.

The first time was sort of awkward because there was only one person working there at this place. So I didn’t know if it was open or closed. Then he popped out of the kitchen didn’t say anything. I had to ask him if he was open he said yes but to give him a second. So I sat at a table close to the deli. Waited. And waited… I noticed him peeking out of the kitchen and walking away… Must’ve been a good 10mins. I was already getting annoyed wondering wtf is going on??? Then finally caught him peeking out again to ask him«so how long do I have to wait»??? Then he was apologizing that he wasn’t sure if I was ordering anything there? I was all wtf?(In my mind) then he was apologizing that he’s the only worker of the day. Then made my order … It would’ve been a 5 star here if it wasn’t for my first bad experience. But I do love their caprese sandwhich and cucumber salad!!! **edited update** 7−20−14 Regardless of my bad first impression I’ve been coming here still and the service seemed a bit better. I keep coming back because the caprese sandwich is VERRRRYYYY good here! There was one time the bread was very hard. But I still love it! And the cucumber salad is always delish!!! I don’t care about any other items on the menu. But must try the caprese!!!

I really want to love this place, and I’ve had two positive(4 star) experiences, but I definitely had a(2) star experience today. Ordered a roast beef grilled sandwich(and left an 18% tip). The bread was great but the meat was just a little.off. Honestly, I hated it. And I am NOT a picky eater. I didn’t want to go complain but my friends tasted it and felt the same way I did about the meat. My mom was feeling gutsier than I was, so she returned it for me and asked if I could replace it with the turkey and brie my friend had(which we told him was awesome) and the cashier told her, «we’ll do it THIS time». He was not happy. He brought me out another sandwich 10 minutes later(without the coleslaw I’d left in the tray) and pretty much threw it on the table. Maybe he was having a bad day. There are too many other wonderful places near this deli, they need step up the customer service if they are going to keep up with the competition. When you pay for a $ 9 sandwich you deserve to leave happy!

I had the roasted turkey sandwich and was very impressed. The sandwich itself looks very simple but when you take a bite… Goodness the robust flavors complimenting one another… The garlic sauce did not overpower the turkey but it interestingly brought out every bite of green apple which gave unique tangy flavors that made AWESOME happen. Also the cucumber salad is very light and clean and the taste contradicts the sandwich allowing the palate to enjoy the uniqueness of every bite in between. Thanks dude, I’ll be back.

I never knew about this area but it’s pretty cool. Basically it’s a bunch of food places and a free for all sitting area. Delifornia seemed the best for me that day since I always crave a good sandwich. We got a Reuben and a sourdough club. By far, the club was the best ever. The garlic Dijon sauce and turkey were bomb and it just tasted really fresh and satisfying. Apparently the Reuben we got came with pastrami instead of corned beef cause they ran out but it was still good. I would definitely recommend the club though. Prices are alright. About 9 bucks but it comes with a side. The employees were super cute tho in the way they dressed and they carry unique drinks. All in all, great atmosphere, great food, great lunch date.

I have been here a few times, the food is pretty good. I don’t care for the sides, but I don’t really like coleslaw or potato salad. My main issue is the customer service is lacking, some of the staff are very friendly but other staff members are down right rude and have a pretentious attitude. I have decided not to return based on being treated rudely. I recommend going to K & A next door where you will be treated with respect.

I really wanted to like this place. Unilocal had a $ 10 for $ 20 deal so I jumped on it since I always thought this place looked interesting while visiting healthy junk, I wanted to support my local downtown Anaheim establishments, and who can go wrong sandwiches. First the positive. The meat they used was pretty good in my Italian sandwich. The bad: the bread was down right dreadful. Spongy and chewy in a very bad way. It made the entire eating experience not so enjoyable. I don’t mind paying $ 10 for a good sandwich meal but this was not a $ 10 good sandwich meal. Now the worse. When I used my $ 10 for $ 20 deal, I had a $ 10 credit. The person at the counter asked me to write down my name and Unilocal deal number on a piece of paper. So I did. When I returned a couple weeks later, I told her to look me up and at first she looked baffled. Then right away, a light bulb in her head turned on and she proceeded to lift up the register and pull out the piece of paper with my name and Unilocal deal number from underneath of it. I guess she remembered me. Awesome record keeping and filing system I thought. Aren’t they supposed to have recorded this a electronically? The light bulb in her head soon went dim as she told me to wait to talk to the manager. The fellow with the nicely groomed mustache approached me and asked me what was the matter. I said I have a $ 10 credit here and he proceeded in telling me how wrong I was. He told me to pull up my Unilocal deal but the deal was already spent when I used $ 10 worth of my $ 20 deal — that’s why there’s a piece of paper with my name under the register. He said it doesn’t work that way. Then why the fuck is there a piece of paper under the friggin register with my name on it? I’m not trying to scam you for a shitty $ 10 sandwich, dude. Why didn’t they just tell me that it was a one time deal instead of saying I could use my balance later if i write down my name an info to be filed under the register. Mustache’s solution?“Come with friends next time”. For a small establishment like this that probably relies on Unilocal for exposure, you would think they would treat a person that bought a Unilocal deal with some respect. I just left and went to K&A to the right and had their chicken fajita wrap with fried zucchini — delicious.. The 2 places to the left and right of this place had much better customer service and delicious food.

I’ll start off by saying I’m not a big deli/sandwich person… but the roasted turkey sandwich has changed my life. Also the guys that serve here are dressed so cute in their little retro uniform.

Dear Delifornia, Your roasted turkey sandwich really opened my eyes. To think that I’ve been wasting my life not eating your sandwiches. The perfect blend of flavors. Perfectly executed. It left me in utter shock. Words can’t describe how much I loved that sandwich.

DELIFORNIAGOODFORYA! Remember that song by the Red Hot Chili Peppers«Californication» well this is the same EXCEPT your dreaming about deli meats, cheese, bread and pickles! This is NOT your normal sandwich shop. The staff is dressed in early 20’s uniforms with their hair slicked back and combed SUPERNEAT! It’s really takes you back just standing in front of the counter! My regular YOGA studio is right down the block so on FRIDAY after a GREATCLASS I was FAMISHED and in need of some sustenance so I could keep going! I remembered seeing some food places open up in the FOODCOURT on the corner so I thought I would give them a try! First I had to find them because the address is off by 100 and is ACTUALLY201NOT100! SO I of course contacted Unilocal to do like Michael Jackson and«Make that change». I was able to find this lady on her way there and like a lost puppy she let me tag along! I wasn’t sure what to order. The menu is NOT huge so it is really NOT that difficult but I wanted something different and not my normal go to sandwich! BUT I failed miserably when I ended up ordering the Chicken sandwich! I thought it was just going to be a chicken sandwich was not fuss involved but BOY was I wrong! I was waiting and waiting and listening to the WONDERFUL live entertainment of this guy playing guitar and singing! When I noticed my sandwich still wasn’t ready! Are they out back killing the chicken and plucking its feathers off! Why is it taking so long! So I tried to relax and NOT pay attention to my stomach and listen to the music! And before long my food was packaged and ready to go in a nice brown paper box! I decided to eat there since I was pass STARVING and when I open my little box I was confronted by and delightful sandwich all neatly packaged and displayed and it was HOT! No wonder it took so long! It was not just some meat and cheese slapped together between two pieces of bread but you could tell some LOVE was poured into making this sandwich! I sat and ate while listening to the musician sing his heat out and ENJOYINGMYDELICIOUS sandwich! It had NICEBIGSLICES of AVOCADO in it along with SLICESORCRISPWARMAPPLE! ITWASSUPERDELICIOUS and FILLING! And it came with an pickle wedge which was marinated in something ANDSOOOOGOOD and I’m NOT a normal pickle and sandwich person! Your thinking it was JUST a pickle but there is something DIFFERENT about the ones here! They also sell FRESHBAKEDCOOKIES which are HUGE so you’ll ONLY need one! And they have drinks too in NICE vintage bottles! SUPERCUTE! I LOVEDIT and WILLBEBACK to try something ELSE! Maybe tonight after yoga!

Entering the overcrowded sandwich market is Delifornia… Which was a pleasant surprise. When I came across this place I thought, well here is yet another premium sandwich shop that is overcharging. Boy was I wrong. I ordered the little Italiano and a cheese plate to share with my friend. The food was incredible, the flavors danced on my tongue with finesse. Portions are huge and well worth. Service with a smile and in a decent amount of time for what you are getting. They even came out to check on us even through it seems as if they don’t need to given its food court like setting. The only semi disappointing thing was the cheese plate, it wasn’t bad but most the cheeses were overpowering. I think a little better variety would work in future plates. Overall I had a great experience and feel it is well worth the cost. I live next door so I can’t wait to come try out other sandwiches!

As the newest addition to the Good Food court, I just knew I had to pay this place a visit. I’ve enjoyed the surrounding eateries like Cervantes Mexican Kitchen and Healthy Junk and had no doubt Delifornia would be a savory new addition to this hipster food court. I will admit the prices are a bit steep($ 8-$ 10+ per sandwich), but the quality of the meats and cheese is well worth one visit to Delifornia. For those who don’t know, your sandwich does come with a small side. For my first sandwich, I tried the Country Club($ 10). Now, let me tell you this… I haven’t had a three tiered sandwich in ages. But here it was, right in front of me. A towing behemoth of black forest ham, turkey, proscuitto and lots and lots of brie. While a solid sandwich, I thought it was too much. But for the hearty eater, this is a perfect pick. I believe they told me that it was one of their heartier and most popular to order sandwiches. My boyfriend ordered bowery pastrami($ 9), which had hot pastrami and mustard on rye bread. The pastrami was very flavorful and well cooked. The sandwich was considerably smaller than my Country Club in size, but the pastrami’s flavor more than made up for that. In addition to sandwiches, they do sell cheese and deli meats. While I haven’t tried this myself, I believe you can do a cheese plate here! Overall, worth trying! I’ll definitely come back to try their other creations.

I live in the urban downtown area of Anaheim, aka«the-ghetto-that-isn’t-as-ghetto-now» and been loving the new eateries that have opened up in the past year. The Lab has really helped change the vibe down Anaheim Blvd. and with all these improvements, came new businesses – one of them being Delifornia. I’ve followed the Intragram and Facebook posts about their Country Club sandwich and I was determined to try this elusive, yet delicious-looking creation! I have to say, it did not disappoint! THECOUNTRYCLUB — I mean come on… just look at my photo. Black forest ham, turkey, prosciutto… and cheese??? The mayo was really good too. Honestly, I ate everything so fast, I wish I had more time to savor the flavor. So good, that I had to order another one to go. Yes, you can call me a fatty. They also sell cheese! I also ordered a pound of the parmigiano-reggiano for a cheese plate I had to create. Thanks Delifornia!

Delifornia is in a cool lil hip spot in Anaheim. The food is a bit mediocre in comparison to other deli’s near by. I got the«Italiano» sandwich. The meat seemed good & fresh but the bread was very hard and difficult to tear. Sandwich came out to a lil over $ 10(w/o a drink), so price wise it isn’t the best bang for your buck, IMO. If you want to go to a really good deli, go to Roscoe’s Famous Deli off of Harbor Blvd & Commonwealth.

Delifornia opened next to my yoga studio and this could potentially be dangerous… Located in the same Good Eats Hall as Healthy Junk, K&A Catering and Cervantes Mexican, it’s a great addition to the plethora of eateries now in the area. All of the sandwiches on the menu looked fantastic, but after breaking a hardcore sweat next door, I tried to go as healthy as I could and went with the East Coast turkey sandwich. Roasted turkey, lemon thyme mayo and multi-grain bread is what completes this handheld. No joke, it’s piled pretty high. For $ 7.50 it was a steal, especially since it came with your choice of potato salad or cole slaw. I went the potato route and it wasn’t at all mayonaisy like most and came lathered in some delish dijon dressing. At first, I was bummed because there wasn’t any lettuce or tomato on it. But after I took a bite, everything came together nicely and I forgot about the produce that I was about to ask for. In fact, I inhaled that sandwich — but next time, I’ll probably ask for the veggies to compliment it. But even without, it definitely held it’s own. It’s a small stand and like I said, shares seating with the other businesses in the food court. Seating can be a little tight during lunch, but you shouldn’t have any problems at night. While you’re waiting for your food, you can definitely have a craft beer at the new Junk Bar since it’s literally less than a stones throw away. Parking is free for 90-minutes on the street or they have a two-hour lot behind them. I definitely recommend and will definitely be back to try their pastrami!

Saw that Delifornia opened up while I was walking my dogs. I came back with my roommate — both of us intending on getting sandwiches but we got sidetracked at Junk Bar. After getting the cheeseplate(around $ 10), I fell in love with the brie and came back to purchase cheese at the end of the evening. Very nice spot, great addition to Anaheim and Center Street Promenade and very friendly service. They sell meat and cheese by the pound so you can make your own sandwich creation at home. Excited to come back and try the sandwiches.

Adorably small and classy, this deli really has a niche for the art of sandwich making… they offer the ability to order a «west coast» or «east coast» style sandwich and the portions are great for the price. I am a fan!
