I like that you can order online so no time is wasted. The cajun fries are so spicy but they’re so good that you can’t stop eating them even when your mouth is on fire. The burgers are HUGE. I was not expecting them to be that big. Other than the size, it was your average burger. The bathroom is not the cleanest but it’s pretty much what you expect for a fast food burger joint.

Get the 5 Guys crave at least once a month. Premium burgers, fries and peanuts while you wait is a winning formula. The overflow portion fries is smart. This location is very consistent and I would recommend it highly.

Love the burgers and fries, the choices that you can put on your burgers are great, the staff is friendly and the service is quick. Great for lunch or a very casual dinner.

Awesome, peanuts, burgers, fries and music. My wife and I ask the grandchildren if they want to go for wings and pizza and they always say five guys. My wife and I keep our fingers crossed and hope they’ll say five guys. Not only great food at the transit maple loction, they have a great staff! Today is New Years day, it’s my wife and my 20th anniversary. I asked my wife where she’d like to celebrate our 20th., yes… we ate at five guys. Truely enjoy your company. Thank you.

Me likey the fries. They are just addictive: fresh hand cut french fries all greasy and salted, just pure yum in your mouth. I always get the large for my family. Myself, my enormous husband(he’s 6’6″ and built like a linebacker. Please believe me when I tell you this man can put down food like no one else) and our toddler. The large fries is so big we always end up tossing half of them. A large is more than enough for several adults. My husband loves the bacon cheeseburger. I usually opt for a hamburger but today I got a cheeseburger. My son also likes the cheeseburger. Sometimes the meat is a bit more rare than I like, but still a very good burger. My favorite part? My toddler inhales their beef patty covered in cheese. He is normally not a big red meat fan and I’m always after him to eat foods rich in iron. No worries with Five Guys, he always eats their burgers like it’s what he was born to do. I’ve never dined in, I always order the food online and then swing in to pick it up. That’s life with a toddler for you. I’m hyper sensitive to him making other diners miserable that I seldom take him anywhere to eat with us that is not Ted’s. I find my own child charming but I know not everyone else is amused by an almost two year old shouting, «I have a penis!» because seeing hot dogs makes him remember his own favorite body part. Long story short: Five Guys is a-okay in my book.

Filling griddle burgers! Arch guys can’t come close. Free toppings to the roof, and peanuts! The fries are fresh, flavorful and just perfect… delicious, any of the locations I’ve been to.

Five Guys is a must have. Great burgers, fries and hot dogs. Glad they finally built one in Buffalo. Used to go all the time when I lived in Orlando and always wanted them to build one up here when I moved back. Awesome place!

Can’t believe I’m rating a fast food chain, but the burgers are delicious and the fries are top notch as well. The restaurant itself isn’t special in any way except they let know eat free peanuts and throw the shells on the ground. Kids love that. Has one of those 1,000 varieties of coke machines.

It seems like this place was better when they first opened. Its not bad now, just not as good. The fries have gotten better. They are cooked perfect now.

I think there should be at least 1 girl in with the 5 guys, but then again that might make things X-rated so we’ll stick to the guys I guess. Which might be your thing, in any case. This is the 5th Five Guys I’ve tried… ok no I can’t back that up. But this is about the 3rd one I’ve tried. I was told to come here and get the burger with BBQ and Mushrooms and Onions and I will definitely say that(a) it is much better this way than the regular way, which I find bland and awful, and(b) the person I shared the burger with said it was delicious, a work of art, and a masterpiece… not even kidding. Now I, on the other hand, while I thought it tasted okay, there were these problems… (1) The price is crazy. For a small fries and a mini burger, it was $ 10. Wtf? How so? I can go to Ang’s Lunch Car for my fave fast food burger, same size, more filling, more juicy, more fresh, and it’s under $ 3. I don’t get it. (2) The fries were hot and fresh and I liked them with the Cajun, but the burger was lukewarm… seriously, it did not taste hot. I don’t get it. How can it not be hot? It wasn’t THAT juicy either. (3) People rave about this so much and when something is raved about, I have slightly higher expectations. If nobody liked this place I might give it a 3 or something. Even this place raves about this place. All over the walls are«best burger in the world» articles. W… t… f. And I don’t like Shake Shack either, by the way. In N Out is ok. (4) It’s the opposite of local. And I prefer local. The service was nice and the choice of toppings and lack of charge for them is excellent, and the fries are fairly good with the cajun dust on them(boring without, and even then they’re far from my fave fries). But I’m obviously biased. I’m not crazy about guys. If it were called 5 Girls I’d probably love it. The sad part is I don’t even know if I’m kidding.

I really like this place. I can get the perfect combo of cheeseburger, cajun fries, soda and peanuts! Since there’s no In-N-Out or Shake Shack in Buffalo, NY, Five Guys would be the closest burger joint. Five guys’ burger is really juicy. You can add any toppings that you like for the burger. It’s highly customizable — that you have to think hard sometimes on what to pick. especially when you are hungry. My favorite would be adding some grilled mushroom and onions on it. On the way out, you can ask a bag to get free peanuts. Peanuts overload!

So I’ve been eating at Five Guys for a few years. I first had it over is California as people were starting to compare it to In-N-Out. I’d prefer In-N-Out over Five Guys but it’s still really good. The ability to fully customize your burger is awesome. You want jalapenos, mushrooms and mustard? BOOM! You got it… The patties are pretty thin but fresh and overall the burgers turn out pretty good. It gets pricey when you start going with cheese or bacon but so does anywhere else. Now the fries… well not the biggest fan of the fries. Why? Because I like my fries super crispy… almost potato chip like. And every time I ask for the fries to be «Extra Well-Done» they respond by saying«we generally make the fries well-done anyway» and even when I protest and insist on «extra well-done» the fries come out… not so crispy. The restaurant itself is clean and they have the super soda machines that allow you to mix and match flavors galore. If you want a good burger at a reasonable price… make a stop at Five Guys.

*Crunch crunch* goes the sound of peanuts on the floor… I realize that this is a divisive topic but I love that restaurants are allowed to make their own rules with regard to the use of their floor as a dispensary for opened peanut shells. There are people who love throwing peanuts on the floor and there are people who are driven to insanity by the blatant disregard for a cleanly and orderly atmosphere. I still remember a particular Five Guys my father and I ate at. We walked in and filled up a cardboard bowl full of peanuts and noticed how clean the floor was. This didn’t deter us though. We began munching away and casually shucking the shells on the floor. A few minutes later, now waiting for our order, we noticed a young lady, of an apparent fastidious nature, nervously tracing our steps and sweeping up our shells. I honestly did feel bad for a second. Apparently she picked the wrong place to work. Usually the workers let the shells accrue to a tasteful level as if to invite those shy to follow suit with the others. ******************************************************************************** I work close by and know some of the guys and gals who work here. The place opens at 11am but there are employees here at 7:30am. Doing what, you ask? Hand-packing the beef patties, chopping huge bags of fresh potatoes for the fries, and chopping fresh lettuce, onions, and tomatoes, etc. for all the toppings. They close at 10pm and are there until 12am deep cleaning all their equipment as well as the lobby. What other fast food place do you know that hand preps their patties, potatoes and condiments? Try In N Out Burger but you won’t find that anywhere near the East Coast. The burgers here are insane. As others have mentioned, you end up paying a little more than an average fast food place but the standard burger comes with two patties in addition to any or all the toppings you want on the burger for no extra charge. Are you kidding me? That includes grilled mushrooms and onions. It feels good to be able to just go crazy and load up your burger with what you like. The only thing you pay extra for is a cheese and bacon. Off the beaten path of the burger and fries option, they also offer BLTs and grilled cheeses. The BLT comes LOADED with bacon. The fries here will have you licking your fingers. As I mentioned before, they chop these from fresh potatoes every morning. The portions on the fries are ginormous. If you want what is traditionally known as a small fry, then order a small fry and split it with someone else. When my family comes here, we usually get a large order of fries and split it between all of us. There are seven people in my family so you get the point. To top it all off, the cajun fries add a whole new dimension of flavor which most people love. The only slight problem I have is my love/hate relationship with those fancy new coke fountains where you can pick from 300 different sodas with different flavor additions. I love that I can get a Coke with cherry or vanilla syrup but I hate being behind three people who want to try out every flavor combination that piques their curiosity. There are times when I could have written a whole Unilocal review while waiting for my turn. Actually, it’s not that bad. I usually sit down and munch on peanuts until the line dies down. I read the other reviews and of course people are entitled to their own opinions but when it comes to a fast food burger place, how does it get better than this? I can’t believe someone said a McDonald’s burger tastes better. I guess one’s palate can become accustomed to the taste of chemicals and preservatives to the point where the real thing tastes strange. That is the only thing thing I could think of to explain some of the reviews accusing the burgers of «lacking flavor». Yes, they are indeed lacking the flavor of those unpronouncable ingredients we all have ingested at other fast food places. This review is way too long so I will close by saying how much I love that they always call out the amount of people coming through the door. «One in the door!» «Two in the door!» «Three in the door!» Yes! — and we shall all throw our peanuts on the floor!

Having eaten at Five Guys many times on trips to the DC area, of course I was glad to see them come here. Because they are now so close, it seems that I take them for granted and get most of my fixes out of town. But this is still a good place for a burger. The burgers are well done without being burned into a hockey puck. If you like your burger less well-done, that will be a problem. And for those who like rare burgers, don’t spend your energy here because all it will do is give you heartache. The fries are just as good as always, but you are advised not to take them to go. A to-go order ends up with soggy fries from the steam condensing in the bag. Hot off the fryer in the restaurant is the way to go. Now they offer a small order of fries for solo diners, which is good because eating a normal order is pretty hard for one person who is not a competitive eater. My one complaint? The music is always too loud for conversation. The staff is polite and always turns it down when I request it(after getting the food — not taking any chances). I wonder how most people stand the music because never have I seen anyone ask for the volume to be turned down.

I decided to try Five Guys for lunch on a whim. One annoyance is that people can pick up web orders meaning that if somebody pre-orders 15 burgers to take back to the office, the kitchen staff becomes preoccupied with the large order causing people in line to back up. So even if the line looks short, it moves slowly and it may take awhile for them to get around to your food. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. With no drinks, the total cost with tax was over $ 8.00 so it is a few bucks more than, say, Burger King. But is the quality better? Yes, to a degree. I would say the quality of the fries and the toppings is far better than the average fast food burger joint. But the actual meat is what falls short. The meat wasn’t bad, just not any better than someplace like Wendy’s or Dairy Queen. It was slightly greasy, a little tough, but the toppings made it reasonably good tasting. It was like a typical greasy spoon diner burger, nothing more, nothing less. I must note that the fries are freshly cut and they give a LOT of fries for the money. I would go back just to get that, but the burger itself? I don’t get the hype.

I’ve heard great things about this place but honestly I just don’t get it. People are friendly and the servings are large, but the burgers just aren’t anything above average. You do get a ton of fries but honestly they are not a lot different than other fast food places. If I’m going to fall off the diet bandwagon, I want it to be for a better reason than this.

Giving this place another try to see if anything has changed since my other, disappointing visits. I ordered the bacon burger. The bacon that I watched them put on it had been pre and over cooked. The beef patty while freshly cooked is almost flavorless and has no salt whatsoever, which it badly needs. The paddy was dry and crumbly. So overall my previous and now this review stand. You can, and I hate saying this, get a better burger at McDonnalds.

Oh, five guys, this might be love. The veggie sandwiches and cajun fries are impeccable. Unlike other five guys locations, they don’t overload their fries with cajun spices(resulting in powdery, clumpy, gross fries) and they use fresh toppings. You can tell there’s some effort to keep the meat and toppings separate, because the mushrooms actually taste like mushrooms, and not beef by-product. The service was fairly quick. I’m not giving it five stars because the atmosphere, which is your typical«sticky table and wailing infant» set up, but overall this place is amazing.

In the interest of true disclosure and complete honesty I have to let you know that I wrote the following review within an hour of coming home from«Five Guys» on Friday night. Then about 2 hours later I was VIOLENTLYILL. I mean terrible stomach pains, throwing up, the works.(And, I NEVER get sick like this!) Was it food poisoning? I don’t know. I’ll post my original review(for which I had given«Five Guys» 5 stars) so you can read it. But, realize that now my opinion is more than slightly changed… so in being«fair» I’m giving it a 3. 5 for my first impression…1 for my second impression… and then the 2 ratings averaged together. Be forewarned and judge for yourself. My Original Review: «I have to say right away that I’m not a „Five Guys“ virgin. I’ve eaten at this place in Chicago and Washington DC, so I’m not new to the concept or to the food. And, I must say that both work for me. It’s really quite simple. Limited menu, but it’s customizable… light, bright and cheerful décor. No surprises. But, it all works. This is only the second weekend for our local „Five Guys“ so the wait was quite long. I didn’t mind though because as hungry as I was(and the VERY impatient person that I am) there were boxes and boxes of fresh, delicious peanuts to devour as the line crawled along. There’s something about throwing the shells right on the floor that makes those peanuts taste even better! But, on to what brought me in… the burgers and fries. I always order the „Little Burger“ which is really pretty big(and I have a pretty big appetite… well, maybe not after all those peanuts). It’s cooked „well done and juicy“…REALLY. And, here’s where the fun comes in. You can order it with all different toppings… onions grilled or raw, pickles, relish, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, ketchup… even A-1 or barbecue sauce and jalapenos. Quite the selection. And, it’s fun to get to choose exactly what I want. And it all comes out hot and delicious, and just a little bit messy on a tasty roll. The french fries(hint: a large is big enough for THREE to share) are skin-on, crispy, but tender, and soooooo delicious. There are hot dogs as well. And grilled cheese or grilled veggie sandwiches. And, Cajun fries. But, I’ll stick with what I like… a „Little Burger“ with MY favorite toppings and plain fries. Like I said, it works for me». My Feeling Now: I’m kinda afraid to go back.
