My hubby and I have eaten here three times and have enjoyed each meal. Last visit I tried the chile relleno and it was excellent! Hubby had carnitas and the meat was tender and flavor wonderful! This is our new go to place for authentic Mexican food.

If you never had machaca, a popular Mexican breakfast item, its a meal that’s worth a try, and had it I did, at this new Mexican Eatery in Alpine right on the business route. The meal was inexpensive at $ 7.95 which came the two eggs scrambled with the machaca, re-fried beans, rice and also, with two tortillas of your choice, and bottomless chips and salsa( ). The house made machaca was very good. The shredded beef was tender, very well seasoned, them mixed and cooked with scrambled eggs, peppers, and onions( ). You can add slices of avocado to the meal, but they out of the time. I used the corn tortillas to make machaca tacos and spiced them up with the table salsa that was brought to me( ). Great breakfast taco da boot. The re-friedn beans were good with a mild robust flavor. I liked the addition of cheese, but would of preferred Mexican Cotija cheese( ). The rice was mild in flavor, well cooked to a fluffy consistency, and I liked the little bits of veggies that came with it( ). The salsa and chips were good. The salsa was not very spicy but had good flavor( ). Service was friendly and quick. The have a liquor license pending so beer and wine is right around the corner.

One thing that my husband and I definitely enjoy is going out to dinner. We are always looking for a new place and being very loyal to the ones that we end up liking by going back numerous times. This restaurant has become one of our favorites it has only been open a very short time and yet their food is excellent. I read the other reviews and I’m quite surprised I do not get it at all regarding small portions I had way plenty amount of food… I highly recommend coming here the price is very reasonable and all the choices of a real good Mexican restaurant. And the service has been extremely kind fast no mistakes perfect what more can you ask for? Today is our fourth visit. We brought people with us the last time and they thoroughly enjoyed it and have already come back again too. So give it a try it’s worth every penny. One last comment regarding the dollar burritos everywhere in town everywhere you go it’s two dollars for a small tamale two dollars for a burrito so yes they are a little smaller but give me a break it’s one dollar!!! And very tasty gee whiz

Good to very good Mexican food at decent prices. Hubby had a combo at $ 7.95 and I had carnitas at $ 10.95. Everything was well seasoned, hot and tasty. The only thing missing was a lime for my carnitas, but we are still experiencing a bit of a «lime shortage» this year so I’ll overlook it this time. I’ve heard the $ 1 burritos are in the small side, but seriously people it’s ONE dollar. We’ll be back.

I ordered the avocado fries as an appetizer, they came with the cheese dip, they were a very good at a new fun thing to try. I will definitely order these again. For my one year-old and six-year-old nephews I ordered them dollar burritos and they loved them. They are the perfect size for kids since they are picky eaters beans and meat, no veggies or extras. My husband loved the enchiladas Swissas especially the sauce. As for myself the chile verde plate is one of my favorites the meat was tender and juicy. Prices are affordable considering it’s not a taco shop and the environment and staff are friendly. One thing that I loved is that the chef likes to meet his customers when he has the chance.

Ehhh… First off the portions are very very small especially for what you pay for them. I got the children’s burrito and it was about as wide and long as a taco. They have a nice interior design and the waiter was nice but seemed new. Also the dining area smelt kinda weird…

Typical mexican food without the taco shop environment. We only ordered quesadillas and burritos, so there’s not much to judge from that, it’s hard to mess up those items. I think they really need to adjust their portions or prices though. The small portions arent worth the price, they need to make portions a bit larger or just lower the prices. Burritos are a lot smaller than typical taco shop burritos. Order more food than you usually would if you want to satisfy your appetite!
