The music is great. The club atmosphere is nice. They are professional. The parking is easy. That said, a few issues: The chairs in the club are very uncomfortable and you have to sit with 2 other people. The restaurant meal you get with the pa Kaye is an included $ 40 fixed price menu. The food is not that great. Our salads were fresh but very small and we saw the comparable full price salad(wedge) and it was huge. The salmon special we both had was«okay.» It was way overcooked and we needed extra shrimp sauce to make it wetter(which they supplied when we asked). The food on other tables(regular menu) looked MUCH better. The dessert was pretty good but again, on the small side. I think the concept of package is great. It’s so easy to just park, eat, and see a show, but they need to improve the food. The couple at our table in the club made the same remarks.

Ugh. I love Sculler’s Jazz Club, but unless you pay a hefty annual fee for preferred seating, it’s common to get a lousy seat off to the side. I don’t go often enough to justify the annual fee, but I thought the Green Room deal for preferred seating with meal was the answer. I just need a simple meal, no big expectations. Even knowing we would not have stunning cuisine, I found the meals we had to be way below average. Cafeteria quality preparation. Convenience is the only reason to go here.

Convenience is the only reason that we had our breakfast here in the hotel restaurant. The buffet was not outstanding for $ 19, and when my friend mentioned she had a food allergy, the waitress just shrugged her shoulders. The décor is garish and obnoxious.

I ate in Fusion, the lounge associated with Sculler’s. They serve from the same menu and my meal was fine and prepared as requested. The bar staff was friendly without being solicitous. I would gladly return. Lots of televisions. :-)

We had a date with my parents to enjoy a performance at the jazz club within the same hotel, so we booked dinner with the tickets. I enjoyed dining here with the good company. The atmosphere was very nice, and the service was exceptional. Another plus was getting our parking garage ticket validated. The meal was good, however unremarkable, so the price was above average for the food. It was worth trying at least once.

The restaurant is located on the second level of the Doubletree Guest Suites. The menu includes appetizers, salads and soups, sandwiches, and main entrees. I ate here two nights in a row since I didn’t have time to take the complimentary shuttle to the other parts of Boston. The food was okay. I received a basket of bread, 1 wheat roll and 1 onion roll. The roll was warm, but it was extremely crunchy. They must have been in the warmer too long. On the first night, I had Lobster Macaroni and Cheese($ 26). The dish was pretty good. There were three different cheeses and lots of lobster chunks throughout the dish. The dish used fuscili pasta. I also ordered a side of winter vegetables — carrots, rutabaga, and brussels sprouts($ 5). On the second day, I ordered a Seafood Crusted Seared Filet of Salmon($ 26). The dish came with saffron rice, 2 stalks of broccolini, and Newburg cream sauce. I didn’t like this dish too much. The seafood crust didn’t compliment the salmon. I’m not sure what the Newburg cream sauce was made out of, but it didn’t have much flavor. The salmon was a bit overcooked too. The service on both days was good! The waitress was very kind.

My mom and step dad always stay at the Double Tree when they come to visit. Since this restaurant is located in the DT we have been to this place for brunch a few times now. They may love the Double Tree Pillow Top mattresses and cookies but I’m not loving this place for their breakfast/brunch. It’s a perfectly fine brunch, but that is it… fine. Their all you can eat brunch is $ 19. I guess that is an okay price for all you can eat but, in my opinion, it is over priced for what they are offering. In general all pricing is over priced. You can also order off the menu for things like waffles, pancakes, omelets. I stick to the buffet since Eggs Benedict, my favorite, runs for $ 17. There is a omelet station and a waffle station but 1 man has to bust his butt to keep up with orders so be prepared to wait. The omelets are worth the wait but just keep that in mind. You can skip over the omelet station and go for prepared scrambled eggs and eggs Benedict. Served along side the eggs are bacon, sausage, home fries, pancakes, and mini cinnamon rolls. They also serve fresh fruit, granola, containers of yogurt, oatmeal, and boxes of cereal. The brunch Green Room is convenient if you are staying at the Double Tree so if you are looking for a good brunch go there before you check out.

While we weren’t wowed with the food at the Green Room restaurant the service was really fantastic. We came for a bite to eat before we went to Scullers, the adjoining Jazz Club. They offer two different menu’s…one that is their regular menu, which is available to hotel guests, etc… then they also offer a Dinner & show jazz package, with a special menu for ticket-holders. We weren’t all that hungry so we opted for the regular menu because at $ 45 for a 3 course, prix fix dinner, we wanted to be sure we would like our food & we just didn’t know with a hotel restaurant. Turns out we were right. Some of our food was good– for instance, the Panko crusted goat cheese with the fruit compote was quite tasty… however, my boyfriend’s tuna tartare was quite disappointing. I should prob have just stuck with the goat cheese appetizer and a salad, but decided to try out the pasta offering– a caramelized onion and pancetta agnolotti, which in theory could have been wonderful, but was a miss… something was just off about the flavor combinations. We did however, get a decent bottle of Red Zinfandel for under $ 30 which was a win for us… and our dessert, the coconut chocolate banana spring rolls were a nice note to end on. For future visits to scullers, we’ll prob opt for the 10 pm seats and get a bite elsewhere beforehand.
