Sort of amusing post note. They actually sent me a letter saying my family should find another dentist, months after I had filled out the forms to release records, and everyone in my family had already been to the new dentist. I guess they were trying to make themselves feel like they’ve done nothing wrong or to avoid a lawsuit? Please, please don’t go there. The X-rays they sent to my new dentist were even poor, we all were misdiagnosed, and I lost a tooth.

The doctor and staff have always been wonderful. The environment is neat and clean. Before I just was concerned the cleaning wasn’t thorough enough but thought I should give it a few more visits. I’ve always had excellent teeth and no major issues. My oldest son and I have been clients of this practice for about 18 months. Yesterday afternoon, I called Lovejoy Dentistry back to confirm my son’s appointment for today to find out my son’s coverage had been dropped. I told them I would try to find out what happened and call them back and if it was indeed cancelled I would want to reschedule once insurance was effective. Well, due to HR clerical mistake my son was dropped. When I called this morning to cancel my son’s appointment only to try to reschedule it once his insurance was effective again I was informed that because I didn’t give a 24 hour cancellation notice I would be subject to their 50.00 fee. I explained I thought was ridiculous to charge me this fee because of the circumstances with the insurance and I was going to reschedule. I would understand if I had not shown up or cancelled without reason. However, Instead of using common sense and waiving the fee, she apologized but said it was office policy; I was so mad regarding her lack of common sense and poor customer service I told her I would pay it and hung up. Once cooler heads prevailed I called back to ask them to mail me the $ 50.00 bill, to cancel my appointment in October, and to gather my records. Another employee was kind enough to speak with me and offered to waive the fee and said they didn’t want to loose my business over this situation. I advised her I would rather get my records and pay the fee and end the client business relationship. She advised me she would email my records but they would not bill me the 50.00 fee. I respect her offer to try to make things right, however, I just would rather cut ties and find a different dental practice. Can anyone refer me to a great dental practice in the Allen area?

Where visiting the dentist is NOT something to dread! As a self-proclaimed dental wimp, I’m always anxious about going to the dentist. Dr. Rouse and his team made the experience comfortable, even pleasant! I love the use of technology throughout the office: the latest in dental equipment and x-rays, screens above the chair so you can watch television AND see images of your teeth as necessary, plus a friendly reminder text before my appointment. VERY happy that I found Dr. Rouse and his team at LoveJoy Dentistry.
