I remember going here when it used to be called Ozero. Drinks are great but some beg to differ. I’m a big milk tea person so I usually get their Oolong milk tea. Recently went to their Little Tokyo location and tried their green tea topped with matcha ice cream(Tastes great when mixed!). Don’t know if this location has the same drink. Good place to go to if you’re looking for a late night boba place.

I love this place! They used to be named«Ozero», but now they’re called«Twinkle Brown Sugar». To be honest, I liked their old name better. They also had souvenir cups back then. Anyways, I love the drinks at this place! I would recommend the Rose Milk GREEN Tea or just the Rose Green Tea if you’re trying to cut off some dairy. The drinks here are always spectacular. I visit this location and the Little Tokyo location quite often. Whenever I’m in the SGV and I need to quench my thirst, this is the place to go! There is indoor seating, but very limited. They also have wifi. If you want to come here to study, I’d recommend you come a bit earlier to get a good spot. They do accept cards and they also have a rewards program(Five Star).

After a quick food adventure with my sister in the 626 stuffing ourselves with xiao long baos, we wanted to finish the night with something sweet. A friend of hers recommended this place and seeing that it was walking distance from the restaurant we were at, we knew we had to check it out. One of the workers was extremely sweet. We had a short but pleasant conversation with her while waiting for our drinks. Funny enough, my sister asked for what the most popular drinks were and the worker laughed and pointed behind her where there was a giant blackboard with their most popular drinks(whoops!). I ended up ordering the mango slushie(w/o milk) and my sister ordered the brown sugar milk tea. Although pricier than most places(our total came to a little over $ 9), I did get 10% off for not including milk in mine. The drinks themselves were a little too sweet for both of us, so maybe ask for less sweet when you order.

I’ve been told that this place used to be called Ozero before they changed their name to Twinkle Brown Sugar(a terrible mistake if you ask me). This place has ruined rose milk tea for me everywhere. Everytime I try to get rose milk tea at another boba place, I always compare it to this place. It’s that good. The milk tea actually tastes like tea, not like sugar and syrup like other places. Sign up for their Five Stars program because you’ll definitely be coming back for more.

The only thing I always get is their brown sugar milk tea with boba and pudding! Nowhere else can make brown sugar milk tea the way they do. The taste of their brown sugar is so good and distinguishable, if that makes sense The only downside is they only have one cup size and it’s pretty big. So on the time when I’m too full to finish the whole cup, I ended up sharing it with my boyfriend and he doesn’t get pudding. If you bring back their cup and if you have a Five Star card, you get a discount.

My favorite place to go for boba tea, usually consistent and sister store as ozero in little Tokyo.

Their drinks are good just a tad on the sweet side. When I got there right as they opened today, I was informed that various ingredients weren’t ready which was absolutely fine since I do not like black tea or tapioca boba in general. The baristas were friendly to let me take my time in choosing what to order, so I picked out a ‘peach green tea with lychee jelly’. I was good but they are really generous with the peach syrup so I ended up being pretty sweet! But when I go back I’ll definitely ask for it to be half sweet so I won’t be closer to getting diabetes.

This is a decent tea place to stop by in the area, but it’s very easy to miss! I even walked in today while they were brewing a fresh batch of milk tea and the smell was amazing. I’m not that crazy about milk tea but for the most part their drinks have left me leaving content. I usually choose their popular sellers such as the brown sugar milk tea, rose milk tea, and twinkle fruit tea. My personal favorite is probably the rose milk tea, its light, refreshing, and doesn’t feel too heavy in comparison to other milk teas. The only bad thing is that sometimes they run out of rose, so you won’t be able try this delicious drink! For those seeking a more fruity alternative, their twinkle fruit tea is amazing and contains small chunks of fruits that add more character to the drink. I’ve gotten it several times before and it’s very inconsistant sometimes. But, you can’t go wrong with a classic brown sugar milk tea. The milk tea tastes freshly made and not the powder stuff that you get at other boba shops. They only have one size for all the drinks but it’s enough for you to enjoy throughout your day. They have a very small parking lot, and the inside seating is very small and cramped, but some people might enjoy it. I tend to just stop by to get a drink then I’m on my way!

I got the Brown Sugar Milk Tea and I thought it was pretty gross. The drink is really powdery and the boba is very chewy and not good. I don’t understand what is going on with the name of this place but it’s not worth trying when you’re in the 626 and there’s so many other better options.

I honestly really like twinkle brown sugar. The one in little Tokyo. This one sucks. There are hardly any seats to hang out. It’s a really tight place. When I ordered the girl asked if I wanted my receipt I said no but they call out your number on your receipt to pick up your drink. how am I supposed to know which drink is mine? I didn’t know I needed a number. I had to keep asking what the drinks were so I can take mine. My friend got a order of $ 4 fries which were pretty worth it. Well compared to the fish tempura I got. I was so disappointed. For $ 4 I got this tiny box fish tempura. Guppy house you get a ton for $ 7. The cheese fries were good but the cheese was cold. It was kind of gross in a way. Hot fries but cold cheese. Eh. I won’t be ordering food here again. The drinks were fine. I don’t think they were in any way special.

Order their Brown Sugar Milk Tea, and order it HOT. If you love the warm giddiness characteristic of winter and the holidays(who doesn’t), you can’t go wrong. This drink basically captures what it feels like to sip comfort. Also, if you’re pretty sensitive to sweetness like me, then I’d recommend going w/half-sugar. The employee who suggested this was incredibly friendly and patient about answering my questions about their drinks. :P I’ve also tried the rose milk tea(both hot and cold), which doesn’t disappoint. If you like more drawn out flavors, go w/hot. If you’re into drinking/eating toppings(as opposed to sipping), go w/cold. This is a chill place to study. There’s a bar counter along one side of the place for solo studiers, but also large, spacious tables for all your finals shit. I heard it gets really crowded, but I guess I’ve been lucky every time. Plenty of parking in the back lot, but if it happens to be full, just park on a nearby residential street and walk. Note: the first time I ordered a hot drink, the lid wasn’t tight enough so I spilled some on myself… Just check to make sure that it is!

I’ve been here a few times and boba drinks are okay. My niece though loves this place and begs me to take her here when I’m in town. Fortunately, the close proximity to their house is convenient walk about. I remember when this used to be Baskin Robbins ice cream and after Ozero, now Twinkle Brown Sugar. The shop itself is small and sits on the corner of Sierra Vista Ave/Valley Blvd. It’s a quiet sanctuary for students and young crowds. Not as bustling as most boba places I’ve visited. Menu offering is ample and reasonably priced. Specialties include fruity teas, coffees, slushes smoothies and light snacks. We ordered the Hawaiian sunset fruit tea and brown sugar tea with grass jelly. Color presence of fruit tea looked inviting, but taste was a bit fruit punch like and less tea. Small chunks of kiwi, strawberries and mango would sometimes get stuck in the straw,. I actually enjoyed the brown sugar tea more. Though a little sweet, it was refreshing. My only gripe is that the drinks do not come with any toppings like boba or grass jelly, and are 50 cent extra. Bobas are a dime a dozen in San Gabriel Valley. Only a few are worthy of grandeur and accolades. For the rest, they’re categorized as average and decent. Likewise, Twinkle Brown Sugar falls in the same path — average. Yes, they were tasty but by no means memorable.

I remember liking the drinks more when it was Ozero. Popped in on Sunday for the first time since the name change and got a lychee green tea with lychee jelly. Tasted too sweet and artificial and just not refreshing, I couldn’t really drink much of it. Service was great though so I’ll give it another chance.

I’ve been to the Little Tokyo location a couple of times. I’ve been to this location when it was called Ozero. Now that it is Twinkle Brown Sugar, the first time I tried to stop in here to check it out, it was a bit late. Close to closing by 30 minutes where the place was empty and the mop was on the floor swishing back and forth. Last night was another attempt as I was pretty thirsty and wanted something like Chrysanthemum tea whether it was a cold or hot drink. On Unilocal,it says it closes at midnight. Fantastic, time to head right over since it’s only 11:00pm. Maybe they didn’t participate in the time change to fall back? I know it’s a Sunday evening where most places would close earlier than usual but this is starting to get ridiculous. Let’s just see what happens on my third visit.

Needed some coffee and picked up a fluffy iced coffee. I asked them to go light on the brown sugar. The sugar was still too much for me. I wasn’t sure what is fluffy about the coffee, it seemed typical. Price and service was just fine. I’ll try the teas instead next time.

This is more of an update review for Ozero than a new review since most of the drinks remained the same after new owners took over and just changed the name. The receipt still says Ozero and still gives discount if you bring back their cup. I actually like most of the drinks here but just don’t care for the boba. It was way too mushy and didn’t taste fresh the few times I added it as an option. Some of the drinks already come with toppings and other solid ingredients so it’s not even worth it. Otherwise you just end up with less liquid and more solid ingredients. The full menu can be quite overwhelming because there are so many items but you can narrow down your choice by just looking at its most popular drinks on the board. I pretty much always order off this board. My favorites are Twinkle Fruit Tea,(strawberry, mango, or peach) Lemonade, and Brown Sugar Grass Jelly drink. The Lemonade is really refreshing and comes with small chunks of fruit of your choice. It’s actually made with both lemon and lime so it has little more of a sour punch to it. The Brown Sugar Grass Jelly has lot of grass jelly. I usually get my drinks with less sugar but these two drinks are better with full sugar because they don’t use that much sugar to begin with. This place only has one size for drinks and price ranges around $ 3.50 to $ 4.00. It also serves snack items like fried mini sweet buns, fish sticks & fries, and fried egg rolls.

I’ve been to so many other places(Half and Half, BobaTime, Honey Boba, Lollicup, and Coco) for Boba Tea and this place is one of my ultimate favorites. — It’s not too sweet at baseline(you can adjust the level as well) — The tea here tastes like tea and not just sugar water — Roasted oolong milk tea is killer here. Get it with a scoop of matcha green tea and it’s still just $ 4 so good value — They do 5 stars loyalty program and you get a free drink about 8 purchases. Also with this you get 10% off your purchase — They have an album with pictures of all the drinks if you want to see what it’ll look like. Pro tip: the milk teas are already refrigerated so I always ask for less ice or no ice so you get more drink Also this place use to be called Ozera and their menu/drinks still identical to the Ozera in Little Tokyo.

Upon approaching this café, our entire party exclaimed in confusion and excitement: It’s really called Twinkle Brown Sugar?! Sounds like drugs. Definitely drugs. It’s a small milk tea joint, emphasis on small and joint. They host popular drinks with«fluffy», like honey fluffy green tea. They«ran out of boba» that night, wink wink nudge nudge. Wait, no boba? da hell? In all seriousness, I didn’t like my drink(Honey fluffy green tea). The fluffy is just frothed milk and it took away from the green tea. Not cool beans. Just bad pairing on my part. When I mixed them together, it just tasted like bitter milky tea. It’s still the 6th most popular drink. The café is also pretty small. The tables with benches probably sit about 16 people total. The bar seating probably seats another 16. When filled, the walking area gets tight. Which is probably a feature of all tea places in the area. Besides that, I gotta come here again sometime. Where else can I get some«Twinkle Brown Sugar»?

I’ve seen this place many times but never stepped inside until one day my nephew told me to give them a try. So I did. We came here and ordered our drinks to go. It was not busy at all, which was a good thing. Small interior. We ordered: Hawaiian sunset fruit tea with lychee jelly – refreshing Brown sugar fluffy jasmine green tea with boba – delicious Tip #1: don’t throw away your cup. Bring back the cup at the next visit, they will clean it and reuse your cup and you will save $ 0.50. Tip #2: if you have a five stars account make sure to put it to use to earn points to get free drinks. No worries if you don’t have one, it’s free to join and works at other locations that use 5 stars point system. It’s a great way to keep track of your points without having to remember to bring all those stamp cards.

This place used to be Ozero but the font of Twinkle Brown Sugar is still the same as when they had Ozero. Nothing much really changed besides the name Twinkle Brown Sugar. The drinks are still the same and even the menu!(It still has Ozero’s name on it). Perhaps they have a different sponsor or owner? But either way, the drinks are still great and you’re definitely paying for the quality. My friend and I ordered: 1. Rose jasmine green tea with passion fruit jelly & rainbow jelly 2. Lychee jasmine green tea w/aloe vera. Both drinks were refreshing and delicious. They were not overly sweet, which is how I like it. It had the perfect proportion of tea flavor and sugar. Other than that, their cups are actually reusable and if you bring it to your next visit, you get a discount and a free topping! Despite the fact that the name«Ozero» will always hold a dear place in my heart, Twinkle Brown Sugar is still the same place that my friends and I have always gone to. Will definitely come here again =)
