El Pollo Loco

This is a very nice Pollo Loco location.
It has plenty of free parking, and a drive up window.
The dining room is quite large and clean, service is good.
I’m a refugee from the Pollo Loco in Monterey Park on Atlantic and Riggin.
That Pollo Loco doesn’t have drive up service, and the narrow cramped dining room is a quarter the size of the Alhambra location.
I like the chicken tostada, I always get it without beans with extra chicken.
I like their fresh made cilantro green salad dressing.

This restaurant is not good at all. The service is slow and everytime i come here i have to witness how one of the managers is always mistreating the employes. I am not sure of what her name is buy her hair is black and she has thin eyebrows and seems hispanic.

I love Pollo Loco but lately this location has been serving burned chicken or old chicken ! Every time I have gone the chicken is burnt! Please practice what your I read inside and make fresh not burn chicken on the grill! A coworker went yesterday and complained to me the same thing. Please improve so that I can write a better review.

Decent fast food for on the go. The bathrooms and the salsa bar definitely could use some attention.

I love pollo loco but this one has been sucking sacks lately. I ordered a quesadilla and got more lettuce than cheese on the thing and it also came with pieces of onion. What I’m getting from this is that they don’t clean their stations and mix condiments.

I can’t understand why people gave this place bad review .
They are completely fine and their food is fine too.
First I didn’t want to eat to that place because of bad reviews but gald I tried and I will eat to this place over and over.

My wife and our 3 pound Chiwowwa, were waiting at the outdoor eating area, were finger wagged and told to move on, while I was buying lunch. The two women used harsh language and were far too pushy then needed.

This is my favorite location to go to. Everything is so organized and the cashiers are really helpful

Don’t go in the daytime, absolutely shitty customer service and immature staff. Ordered a chicken burrito, and it was cold, I felt like they just pulled it out of the refrigerator and microwaved it. The chicken was cold, and not up to the proper temperature. Management needs to make some serious improvements.

Don’t really eat fast food that much but I ordered the chicken meal to go and it made the whole car smells so good you just wanted to go and eat it right away. Hahaha!

This location does need more efficient service. Wait times can be long just you receive food. All in all the food is good and delicious. Love their Spicy Chicken burrito.

Got a 12 piece meal and the chicken pieces were so small. Definitely felt that it wasn’t worth the price. On top of that, asked for extra salsa, cilantro, and onions and wrongly got cilantro dressing instead and no extra salsa. It just reminded me of why I stayed away from El Pollo Loco for a long time. Won’t be coming back.

Food was good and the service was slow for a fast food place. The worker constantly cleans the sauce area and then she gave me a dirty look when I tried to get sauce.
Anyway, try to use coupons. I received a deal in the mail for a family chicken breast and leg combo that comes with tortillas, 3 choices of a side and I chose mash potatoes and corn. The potatoes came with gravy. I like how their chicken is grilled and not fried like kfc. They are semi healthy to me. I liked my whole meal all for $ 20 and saved $ 4 bucks. I don’t feel guilty eating it either.

This location brings back grad school night memories. When I was hungry on my way back home I would stop and get a burrito or bowl on my way. The menu has definitely changed from the El Pollo Loco of the olden days but they have tons of healthy options for chicken and even shrimp lovers. There are still the burritos many of us have come to know and love and now salad options for those of us who are health conscious. I have a hard time wrapping my head around fast food shrimp but one day I’ll try it out. Until then, it’s the classic BRC and hot salsa on the side.

This the best El Pollo Loco, the Chicken and their burrito, is so delicious, and the STAFF WERE GREAT AND ACCOMODATING.

I didn’t have to wait very long for my order, which was a Chipotle burrito combo, so the speed of service was fine. There was only one person ahead of me in line anyway, which would be worrying it took long.
The chips weren’t especially worth extra cash, nor the soda, but I do like the green sauce as dip. The burrito was tasty and filling, but the most important reason I am rather flummoxed at is the amount of flies fluttering around. I counted about 5 next to the window? Didn’t use their restroom, but general atmosphere seemed more or less clean otherwise.

I did it again. I waited in the drive through for 25 minutes. I actually timed it this time. I ordered a 3pc meal and a large tortilla soup. Nothing spectacular. I’m killing this tortilla soup off when I look closely at one of the «spices»… and realize it’s a fly. I’m disgusted. I’ll be notifying public health.

It’s a jungle in here no matter what time you go in. Placed an order for 2 people at 6:05pm and got our stuff at 6:30. Luckily I wasn’t in a time crunch or I would have flipped out. Feel bad for the workers who are running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

When they use the term ‘fast food’, they don’t mean you’ll get your food quickly, they mean the cook is chasing the speedy chickens around the parking lot, and until he catches one, dude, you ain’t eating.
Don’t go here when you are hungry, go here a half an hour before you are hungry. Here’s how this works-​Think to yourself «Am I hungry?». If the answer is «Nope», then go to this establishment, because they take SO long that if you DID wait until you were hungry you’d die in line and you’d be a dusty skeleton like right outta a pirate movie when they find a dusty skeleton near an old treasure chest. That’ll be you. Your friends six months later’ll be sayin’ «Hey, remember Louis? Whatever happened to that guy?». «Dunno, but when my family took my Grandma to ‘El Pollo Loco’ in Alhambra last Sunday, there WAS a dusty old skeleton propped up against the three foot tall silver pole in the line. Waaaait a minute! Come to think of it, that skeleton WAS wearing some skater sneakers and a TMNT hat! LOUISSSS! NOOOO!!»
Here’s how long the wait is-​if you were the only one in line and ordered the simplest item on the menu, it’ll take ten minutes for your food to arrive. If u have to wait in line, and you will (more on that momentarily), add time.
BUT, don’t add just time waiting, oh no. N n n n nooo. Add time for every single person in front of you to adjust their order in some way or another. Also, your fellow customers have not developed sociologically enough to grasp that they need to be ready to order by the time they reach the counter. FURTHERMORE, they are ordering… chicken (not lamb in a mint sauce), sodas (not vintage wine that must be paired with lamb), and beans and rice.
The staff is shorthanded, ppl ahead of you wait so long that ppl cancel their orders and go BACK to the cashier for refunds, and the menu’s font is small and only visible in front of it and close.
On a side note: If you are over 21 yrs old and live in Los Angeles, you most certainly do NOT need to look at a menu at a frickin’ Mexican restaurant! What, you gonna see something surprising up there? «WHAT??! You mean this WHOLE time we’ve eaten at Mexican restaurants I could have ordered a pet baby dragon who has a cold and when he sneezes, little bursts of fire shoot out?! HOW COME NOBODY TOLD ME?!». I, for the life of me, do not understand why old 60 yr old Mexican women, from Mexico, have to look at a frickin’ menu at a chicken serving ONLY Mexican frickin’ restaurant!
Lastly, this is a place to which families go. When you add in the family dynamics into ordering a meal, time is devoured. No one is more controlling, passive aggressive, and wanders around in a state of perpetual victim status, than a foreign old woman. Now add in the ordering of a meal with her family. It’s not AP Chemistry, it’s a menu!

I don’t know if this comes up from corporate the manager/​chef and or cook or who ever makes the decision on this but if you close the lobby at 10pm and have business hours until 11pm shouldn’t you have enough food to supply during these hours?
I walked in at 930 asking for a simple 8 piece meal and all they said «we have no more chicken» I walked in and I saw literally 11 cars in the drive thru, so I know I’m not the only one with late night stomach rumbles.
Seriously tho, I’m in management and I know when I will have the most traffic based on a previous week, daily, and peak hours SO I know management has an idea as to when they will have a rush through their doors!
This can’t be good for business and is definitely NOT convenient to customers who can’t make it home on time to prep a meal. Especially when they falsely advertise that business hours are until 11pm!
It makes no sense. We are people, NOT animals to be offered to buy only the left overs at 9:25pm!
