My husband and I learned the hard way that our existing vacuum didn’t work on our new Smartstrand carpet. We came to Virginia Vacuum and ended up purchasing a Miele Delphi, along with the parquet brush and turbo brush. We had excellent customer service! The owner was very knowledgable and even let us bring a Miele home to try it out and make sure it works on our carpet. The store’s prices are comparable to Amazon. The folks that own this store and wonderful, hard working folks and really helped us when we bought our new vacuum. Highly recommend.

bought a meile here and the owner was informative and helpful. He also said he honors the warrantees on the vacuums and can do any repairs needed himself. I am glad we came to this friendly little neighborhood shop.

The cord retracting device on my vacuum stopped working, and I brought it in here to see if they could fix it. It isn’t a very expensive vacuum, so I was a little hesitant about what it might cost to get it fixed — and had been putting off taking it in for repairs for months.
I came in to Virginia Vacuums on a Saturday afternoon, and the owner took it in the back right away, and a few minutes later it was fixed. I asked what I owed him, and he said nothing. Even though it was a few minutes work I really appreciated this. You don’t see this type of friendly small business too often these days.

I have been a customer of Virginia Vacuums for many years. Mr. Balbir Singh is the owner-​operator of this combination of new and used vacuum sales and service. His shop is «all-​things» vacuum and in several interactions with his establishment, I am deeply impressed with the value of goods and services, and especially the integrity and speed of delivery of services provided. Mr. Singh sold me a new Miele vacuum for a great price and has kept it running well despite being damaged in a move. I highly recommend Virginia vacuums to anyone with any type of vacuum-​service-​sales-​parts-​bags/​filters needs. You will receive expert service delivered with high professionalism and integrity.

I’ve been going here for years for my vacuums and for my mother’s as well. The service is brisk– don’t expect to be treated like their long lost son but it’s polite, fast and the prices are fair.

Terrible customer service!
I stopped by to pick up a replacement roller belt (brought in the vacuum manual with model # to make sure I got the right part) and was tossed a belt by an employee that he said would fit.
I installed the belt as directed, but once I turned on the vacuum it sounded like a helicopter taking off! Hoping that the belt would loosen up, I ran the vacuum over my small living room, and the noise stayed at the same ear-​piercing level as before. The small plastic cover over the roller melted onto itself and onto my carpet.
I called up this Virginia Vacuum location (Alexandria) to ask if they would take a look at the vacuum, and make any repairs, as it was caused by the belt they sold me. They insisted that it could not be the roller belt that had caused the damage, but something else with the vacuum (it was working perfectly fine before I installed the new belt thought!) I was told I could bring the vacuum in, but would be charged for the repairs! I would never visit this shop again, and will advise everyone I know to avoid them as well.
