Papa John’s Pizza

this location is great. my pizza almost always arrives early and is always fresh and accurate. the delivery folks even go to the trouble of walking up inside my apartment building to my front door instead of calling me and asking me to meet them outside. lazy fat girl win.

Great, friendly and professional service. We have ordered from here several times and never had any problems.

I probably do this once every year but every time I placed a order at
something always went wrong. After placing an order earlier, I was expecting a confirmation to be in my inbox shortly. After half an hour, I decided to give the store a ring. My credit card was charged and I’m currently staring at my order number. However, the store never received my order. I’m currently waiting to speak to a manager. It feels as though an hour has passed since I placed my order.
I just spoke to a store manager, apparently there’s an error with their system and they cannot receive online orders. At least I have a refund to look forward to.

This is not a review of the food but of the service. I honestly don’t know what gps capabilities they are or are not providing their drivers but I was on the phone for 20 minutes back and forth with the driver trying to get him to me before I gave up and canceled my order. then apparently 5 minutes after I canceled the order the driver called and said he was outside and I had to be the one to tell him I had canceled the order. I’m pretty sure the store should have done that right away.

It’s a chain so you know what you’re getting and either like or hate their pizza. It’s not as good as a local chain of course but it’s alright for chain pizza and the breadsticks are alright too but sorta bland.
They have 50% off specials if the Nats, Caps, Wizards, or theoretically Redskins win by a certain amount so check for Internet codes. Delivery is usually pretty quick, the online ordering is easy and accurate, and the drivers are friendly. For chain pizza, this is my go to place especially with a discount code.

I know it’s bad when the workers at papa john know what kind of pizza you would like to order!
I order papa johns a couple times a month. (to me it’s my favorite)
the workers there seem nice and the actual store isn’t that bad.
I usually get my pizza within 30 mins NO LONGER than an hour!

I wish I could give this place no stars. It took over two hours to get our cold pizza delivered and when we tried to call and check on the order, the line was non — stop busy. When we got through, the guy said it had already left for delivery. It got here, cold, 45 minutes later. We’ll never order from here again and suggest others don’t either if you want good service and good pizza.

Was never a huge Papa John’s fan, but with WIZ50, NATS50, CAPS50, why not?! Have ordered from this location twice since I moved into Del Ray.
The first time, my email confirmation said 45 — 60 minutes, leaving me thinking I made a horrible mistake ordering pizza at 6 pm. 15 minutes later, I hear a knock at my door… PIZZA! Very happy with the speed of delivery, especially during peak hours.
As for the pizza, it was a little doughy — completely cooked — but for my personal preference, it could have stayed in the oven a lil longer. Beyond that, couldn’t be happier. Will order again!

I always like this food chain. They serve best pizza in town but not as good in comparison to San ramon, CA branch. What I love to order is their garlic bread. They give so much which can be finished by two people. It’s very tasty with the garlic sauce. Highly recommend. Do try.

I consistently have a good experience ordering from this location. I’ve only used delivery.

Great, friendly customer service and good pizza. What else can you ask for. The parking lot is a little crowded.

Completely horrible service. Got a large 3 topping pizza for pick-​up. They made me wait almost 10 minutes after the pizza was made, sitting on the counter next to cash register, while someone took an order on the phone and occupied the register. By the time I got the pizza it wasn’t warm anymore.
When I got home the pizza wasn’t warm — I live 5 minutes away — I called and complained. The manager said «if you come back I can make you a pizza». I declined to come back and he just said «have a nice evening». No apology offered. I am completely unsatisfied and will never return to this dump.

I live less than a mile from this Papa Johns and it took an hour to get one pizza delivered on a Tuesday night???

I Like Papa John’s. It’s fast, yummy, cheap and reliable. I don’t like Dominos pizza, and while I prefer Pizza hut (I like a thick greasy crust) my family likes Papa Johns. They’ve never screwed up an order, and they are always fast and friendly. The points system has given me plenty of pree pizzas too!

This is an update to my other review. I’m taking away two stars because we just ordered from them and they showed up with two really greasy disgusting boxes. the grease got all over our table and it was disgusting. At least they can clean it up before they deliver it. I get that pizza is greasy at least they can add a linear or something.

It’s sad when you live in a place where the «local» quickie pizza shops aren’t that good and all you’re left with are the chain pizza places (sit down Italian/​pizza restaurants are a whole different category so I’m not including these into consideration here). I grew up in Chicago and lived in New York for 4 years so yes, I have pretty high standards for pizza.
After being disappointed by Monterrey’s, we’ve pretty much settled on Papa John’s being our delivery/​carry out pizza joint. Papa John’s is about a million times better than Domino’s and Pizza Hut — the ingredients really do taste fresher (it’s not just marketing!).
I also love being able to order online or with my iPhone. I placed an order via iPhone and paid using my credit card, got an email saying the pizza would be ready in 15 – 25 minutes. When I got there 15 minutes later, the pizza was ready to go! And it was quite tasty.
This Papa John’s actually has tables you can sit at if you really want to eat there. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a Papa John’s where you can eat in.

The pizza is what it is the delivery service from this location sucks. My deliveryman last night claimed not to have correct change and I was faced with either turning him away or increasing a 17% tip by $ 8, I won’t be ordering from this location again, if I am going to pay $ 34 for two large pizzas you can bet I won’t be ordering papa johns.

Slow delivery service, about 1.45 hours. Pizza box was crushed. Upon opening the box, pizza slices were separated and it was cold.

Papa John’s pizza is Papa John’s pizza. it’s a chain, you know what you are getting. The reason I chose to Unilocal this place is because the delivery has always been fast and the delivery man can get into my gated apartment complex without any trouble. Not sure what this says about the security of my building, but I like having the pizza show up quickly with minimal effort on my behalf. I even order online… sooo lazy…
