My husband an I come here maybe every few months or so. The food is typically good. But service is just OK. They could use a little help in this department.

Not sure what has happened to this particular Bonefish over the past three years. Each visit gets worse and worse. At my most recent visit we sat at the bar where we typically have decent service. This last visit was quite the opposite. Two bartenders paced from end to end of the bar and only stopped when waved at or called upon. It was 15 minutes until one guy(who we thought was just a bar-back/busser) asked us if we were ok. We requested to order drinks which he was surprised by. The«bartender» was no where to be found for most of the night. Each request we have to summon the bartender to us to fulfill. There was zero proactive service and the bartenders could care less if our glasses where empty or if plates were pilling up in front of us.(Note to management — we would have spent a lot more on drinks and dessert if the bartender had simply asked us if we wanted more or offered to refill our empty glasses). What happened to the friendly handshakes and«good evening my name is…» when arriving. It felt more like an inconvenience we were sitting at the bar on a dead Thursday night after happyhour with a nearly empty bar. After nearly four years of coming to this particular Bonefish I can say it will be a long time coming before I return. Very sad. It used to be a staple of the Kingstowne neighborhood. Now it is just another customer service-lacking, same-old-same-old, nothing-fancy restaurant.

Ambiance is nice. Food is ok. Could use more flavor. Fish is fresh. Fish tacos are excellent. Service is slow. Crème brûlée is amazing.

Came here because I had a $ 50 gift card and I am so glad I only had to spend an extra $ 10. Not an ounce of this is exaggeration… I ate the ahi tuna entrée and spent the entire night afterwards peeing from my a$$. My girlfriend got the ahi tuna bowl and it wasn’t edible. This place is so terrible. I will forever stay 100 yards away from any Bonefish Grill for the rest of my life.

The food is fine and the service was fine too. But the food is a bit pricey and I didn’t like how close together all the seats and tables were.

After no less than ten visits, we love Bonefish Grill! The drinks are fantastic and we always look forward to trying their seasonal martinis too. Highly recommend trying the bang bang shrimp as an appetizer. I wanted to take a star off only because they no longer serve the bacon wrapped sea scallops, but that wouldn’t be fair. We love this place!

Bang Bang Shrimp! OMG! A definite must have!!! The dish is simply the best! And the portion size is fulfilling! Whatever you do don’t leave without treating yourself to an order of the Macadamia Nut Brownie! Heavenly!

We went here for lunch and the service was great and the food was pretty good too for a chain restaurant. The bang bang shrimp were spot on and so was the brunch crabcake benedict. Why only four stars then? The bang bang shrimp had a great presentation, but the crabcakes honestly looked sad. It was delicious, but looked sad…

Love this place food is on point for the price Bang bang shrimp is a must try. I love this place so much because of the fact i can order out. I go every now and then to order either salmon or tuna after a workout. Everything is cooked to perfection nothing less of it. This is also a nice place to take a date since the movies are right next to the restaurant.

Seated quickly, then waited. And waited. And waited. No water. No waiter. Completely and totally ignored so we left. The nice and well mannered young man asked if we wanted to see a manager. Honestly, I wanted a waiter so I could order a meal. Instead — on a Tuesday night, we were ignored. Is this where all the terrible servers from Uno’s have gone?

The manager saved the day for me at this location after the hostess and waitress made some faux pas. The food is as good as you would find at any Bonefish location. What really aggravated me was that the hostess didn’t seem to like that I was dining by myself and I saw her purposely grab the lunch menu, then she pauses, puts it back and grabs the dinner menu. As if she wanted me to pay more because I was dining alone. Then she seated me at an awkward two top table when there were plenty of other tables with better views and not in such crowded spot. I had the waitress go and grab me a lunch menu, which she did. She was nice, but brought out the wrong order the first time. When I pointed this out to the manager she apologized and understood my concerns especially about the rude hostess, so I don’t really want to ding them for it because I think it won’t happen again. Just make sure you get the right menu for lunch, and if you like Bonefish’s food like I do it will be just as tasty at this location.

When you have a gift card and it so happened to be Bang Bang Shrimp nite($ 6.99), then a trip to the casual Bonefish Grill was the plan for the evening. We opted to sit at the bar for instant service. Our server was great! We enjoyed a couple of his cocktail concoctions and a couple of orders of Bang Bang shrimp. The services was very good. Our server was engaging and quite the funny guy. Although, I am not a seafood fan, their shrimp is always my go-to food at this place. It never fails.

I always enjoy Bonefish because of the freshness of the food and the great service. This visit was another great meal. I ordered from the special menu that offered a choice of salad, entrée, and dessert for a fixed price. I wish the cocktails were better priced as they tend to be very pricey but I remain a fan.

Service was excellent despite a couple food mishaps(brioche bun for burger was rock hard and had a weird taste). But that was resolved quickly by the manager who was very customer-service oriented. Loved the warm chewy focaccia served with an herbal olive oil. I had ordered the wedge salad which was served cold and crisp. Service was excellent and ambiance was relaxing with soft lighting. Pleasantly surprised and will return again for a nice dining experience in Kingstowne.

For a chain, this place is pretty good. There are always healthy options, which is nice. This particular location has a very nice ambiance, great staff, and ample parking. It’s a bit pricey for being a chain and in relation to the portion sizes. But overall, it’s an A-OK stop if you want something relatively healthy and enjoy seafood. Could be a good date-night if you don’t mind spending the money. There’s also a pretty big bar with a nice atmosphere. I ordered the shrimp and scallops. Pretty tasty. Just wish there was more of it. So next time, I’d probably have to order an appetizer as well.

Food was good but the service was slow and the booth was falling apart. Sockeye salmon with blue cheese was relish and the bang bang shrimp is always good. Crab stuffed soft shell crab is ok… not very crispy and mild flavor. Nothing to write home about.

Kathleen is the best server!!! We love the bang bang shrimp like everyone else and could easily walk to a closer Bonefish, but we love driving out to this location because Kathleen is such a joy! She always has a smile on her face and really goes out of her way to make us feel like we’re the only table she ever has. i If you go, get the bang bang shrimp, no excuses. Other than that, I love the surf and turf and the mashed potatoes. The mussels in garlic butter sauce is insaaaaaane — be sure to ask for extra side of bread! Their martini selection is awesome too — I always ask to try something new and I have yet to send anything back.

Updates generally mean one of two things. The food and service has gone down hill, or I’ve had an experience that changed my mind. Hate to say it, but Bonefish has gone downhill(from my initial review in 2011). I went the other night with the wife. The food quality, portions, and service have all gone downhill. It seems like they’ve tried to expand their menu a bit, which may be taking away from their go to dishes, or maybe they were trying to reinvent themselves. Whatever it was, I’m losing faith.

To start off with Bonefish Grill is a chain restaurant so I didn’t have high expectations. My friend and I decided to eat somewhere close by(Kingstowne area) and since we both haven’t tried Bonefish yet we decided to give it a go. Arriving around 8 P. M on a Friday night we were immediately seated. There was a good amount of people in the restaurant but it was not packed. Our waitress came and took our order immediately. We ordered the Singapore Calamari for an appetizer and I had the Swordfish pumpkin ravioli special. The calamari was nothing special, the Singapore style dipping sauce was ehh. The actual calamari was very greasy, upon consuming it there was a greasy after taste in your mouth which I normally do not get after eating calamari elsewhere. The main entrée came with the swordfish topped with feta cheese, three pieces of pumpkin ravioli and some mixed vegetables(edamame, corn, and carrot). The ravioli was the only thing that stood out. It was odd to eat pumpkin inside a ravioli but it was unique and decent. The vegetables were bland with no flavor and the swordfish was lacking in flavor as well. After trying this restaurant out once I do not think I will be returning. There are multiple chain restaurants all around the Kingstowne area, if I am in the mood to eat at a chain restaurant I will choose one of the other ones.
