We ordered the Calamari, Chicken Parmesan, Cheese Ravioli, and Tiramisu. Ummm… Let’s just say I was disappointed. First off, we waited 10 minutes for a waiter after we were seated. Waited another 20 minutes to receive our appetizer. Waited another 45 minutes for our entrees. They must have«European» service here because of the long intervals between being served food. Secondly, I’ve eaten at several places in Italy and no… this food doesn’t taste good enough to have«Italy» in the name. The place may look semi-fancy but don’t be fooled. If you know what REAL Italian and/or good quality food tastes like then you’d be disappointed. The décor and hype of this place seems to be an upgraded version of Olive Garden however, you’d actually be better off just going to Olive Garden.

Maggiano’s is typically a good place. This place is awful. We had to wait over half an hour WITH A RESERVATION. The lady at the front desk said that she wanted to be fair to the people who were still ahead of us who had even earlier reservations and haven’t yet been seated. Do yourself a favor and go someplace else that actually honors reservations and treats customers well.

Good atmosphere, service and food but 4* because the delivery is not good. The delivery guy was take my self phone from the order and try to bother me with messages. I definitely don’t think that is professional.

Great deal for bang for buck but the takehome entrees resembled something of the like of frozen dinner. Salty, bitter, and inedible. The meals prepared tableside though were of much better quality. The peach bellini was a fun, frozen, and fuzzy drink that was like peach nectar! The Chianti at Maggiano’s is to die for. which is surprising for a chain franchise. They offered not one but three Chianti(mouth is watering already as I’m typing this), all of the DOCG quality… which if you are not a wine snob like myself is of the utmost quality threshold designated by the government of Italy. [DOCG: Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin]. We had the Classico which brought us back to the Castel de Amor in Napa… but was even smoother! My main course of lasagna was solid, but not memorable nor outstanding. My girlfriend got the spaghetti and meatball(yes singular) and she finished the plate before I did! That’s how you know when it is good!

I would give this place 3.5 stars. 3 for the food and half a star for the sheer amount of food for so cheap! Marco’s meal for two? More like 6! I signed up for the e-club and got 10 dollars off so we had so much food for just 30 bucks. My mom and I started with the spinach artichoke al forno which came with a huge saucer of cheesy creamy dip with crunchy bread. The dip had a strong sour cream flavor and I wanted more spinach/artichoke flavor but it still was sinfully cheesy. I ordered the lighter take on baked ziti and my mother got the mom’s lasagna. The ziti came with big hunks of italian sausage and dollops of ricotta cheese. My mom is very picky when it comes to restaurant food and she thought the lasagna was very good and she chose to take another one home. I ordered the eggplant parm to eat the next day for lunch and it was pretty tasty. We ended with the tiramisu and it did not disappoint. All the layers were delicious, especially the chocolate cakey layer. I’ll definitely take my brother or boyfriend here since they appreciate huge portions.

The servers here are AMAZING! I love Maggianos because of the service, family style portions and ambiance. This place never gets old. Whenever I call in a reservation, my family is seated right away. With this being an Italian restaurant, they have no problem with accommodating large parties. They’ve got the large party accommodations down to a science. I must add that this mall is really developing; therefore, trying to find a parking space is probably the most frustrating experience. However, the overall restaurant rating is definitely 5 stars. If this is your first time trying this place, get the Dinner For Two menu. You get to order 2 meals and take 2 home! No joke. Its the best. So you can order 2 separate meals to see how much you like the food. I like variety myself. The best part, its only $ 40-$ 50 if I’m not mistaken. I will be back. Not sure how soon, but I will be back.

Decided to come back for dinner. The place is decent because of the price and deals they offer(marcos meal for 2), 1 appetizer, 2 entrees for dinner and 2 to go with dessert. It was really busy so the service was a bit slow, and wifey had to send her meal back to be re heated(mood killer). My sons had the kids flat bread cheese pizza which they enjoyed. The dessert was the chocolate cake and again my boys enjoyed it(mom & dad were full). I wouldn’t give them higher than a 3 star review, maybe if it wasn’t so busy I would feel different., however tonight I was a bit disappointed.

I have been to this location three times for dinner. The quality of the food is identical to the other two Maggiano’s I have been to(Tyson’s Galleria and Philadelphia). The last time I went to Maggiano’s, I got one of the specials: Langoustine Lobster al Forno. It was delicious. I was surprised by the amount of lobster that was in the dish. I usually expect there to be very little lobster when I order lobster dishes. The meal also came with a House Classic Pasta to go.(I got the Taylor Street Baked Ziti). Their House Classic Pasta meals are a real deal. For under $ 15.00 you get a pasta as your meal and then you get to choose any classic pasta to take home with you. Unfortunately the service really detracts from the overall experience. All three times I have been there my party had a reservation. Two of those times we were seated well past our reservation time. The last waiter we had was very friendly, however he was not knowledgeable on the drink menu. I asked him what was on tap and I had to prompt him about one of the beers he missed. The food did come out in a timely manner. In general they seem to have problems with a crowded restaurant. There was a lot of apologizing from the hostess and wait staff about the delays in getting seating, serving drinks, etc… Overall if you don’t mind waiting for a table and are looking for a place for a good Italian chain, Maggiano’s Little Italy will fit the bill.

3rd time eating at this place(first time was in San Jose, CA). Maggiano’s isn’t so bad being an Italian place. I’ve have other Italian food, but this doesn’t top it off. I’d say the best part of the menu is the Marco’s meal for two. You seriously cannot go wrong with that! Marco’s meal for 2: –You have the option for choosing an appetizer, flatbread, or two salads –Pick two traditional(classic) pastas to eat there and an additional two pastas to bring home –Lastly, pick your favorite dessert I think the only negative thing I can say about this place is that, its really dim lol but I get it… you get the romantic/Italian feeling to it. If we’re on a carb craving, Maggiano’s is the place to go!

Fast service, what you’d expect from a Italian chain restaurant I guess. But the food is too heavy and greasy. I usually love that kind of food, but this was too much. Anyways the appetizer was a good size, we ordered a margherita flatbread. Was ok, the cheese tasted cheap. For the main course, ordered one Baked Ziti, it was too dry, did not have enough tomato sauce. The second dish was the Cheese Ravioli, felt so heavy, and greasy. Cheesecake is a good size, enough for two, but it’s way too sweet. The $ 39 deal for two, with 1 appetizer, 2 pasta dishes, 1 dessert, and 2 take away pastas is a pretty good deal.

Bread tasty and had nice texture. The olive oil dipping sauce the server creates at the table was good. Love the décor and the staff was friendly. Michael was a pleasant server. Marguerite flatbread was dry, bland and not hot. The flat bread tasted like pita chips, I don’t recommend it. The Meatball sandwich was cold, bland, potatoes cold and greasy, tomato soup tasked like marinara dipping sauce. They offered to get somethings else, but did comp when we left our food. We were so disappointed, we have been to Maggiano’s in Los Angeles and it was wonderful, of course, we used to get pasta.

Its unfortunate when you have to beg someone to take your money! It took 8 hours and three people to 1. Figure out my phone number(it’s ok, I’ve only repeated it 5 times) 2. Talk down to me because my delivery order was $ 15 shy of the minimum…(hello! Just say so, I can add to my order!) Samantha the manager needs a lesson in customer service! She was rude, argumentative and acted like I was a peasant who couldn’t afford to add $ 15 on my delivery total. NEWSFLASH: you don’t gain anything by arguing with a customer. All I wanted was to order some food for my 2 year olds birthday and these people couldn’t get it together. After the manager was so rude I gave up. Only after I said I would share my experience did her tune change… too late! The delivery coordinator called soon after to «take my order» … Sorry, train your team members correctly so you won’t have to clean up their mess. I love Maggianos but definitely NOT this location. (You really have to upset someone enough to write all this out!)

Maggiano’s has to be my favorite Italian restaurant by far. Their Rigantoni D pasta is phenomenal. I reccommend having it with their Italian Greyhound drink. I have yet to try their other dishes, but I’m looking forward to coming back and experiencing more! Customer service is great. The waiters are very kind and are always accommodating to your needs.

2.5 stars. I came here with a Unilocal event and really liked their zucchini and bread and decided those two things were good enough reasons to take my husband here on a date the other night. To be fair, he really liked his food, to me however, if I can make the same(or better) at home I don’t really see a point to come into a restaurant to eat. They were busy, as is most of restaurant row at the mall on a weekend, but we were able to secure a high-top in the bar area upon arrival, since they are first come-first serve. Our waitress was wonderful, she had an extremely infectious smile and made our experience a pleasant one. She was the best part of the meal, for sure! I had never been to Maggiano’s before(chain Italian usually scares me) and so I asked for her preference between two veal dishes. My husband wanted a simple Spaghetti and Meatball and LOVED his dish, he said the meatball was well seasoned and liked that the sauce fared on the sweet side. I wasn’t a fan, as I prefer a more savory marinara if given the choice, but to each their own. I ordered the Veal Piccatta which was extremely chewy, the flavor was almost there for me, but it was overcooked for my liking. The pasta on the other hand, which is apparently Barilla brand, was fantastic and cooked to a perfect al dente. The main reason keeping this from a solid 3 star experience is the Calamari. It was just bad. I didn’t send it back because we were so hungry, but in retrospect I probably should have. It was so bland, all I could taste was oil. Thankfully each table at MLI has a salt and pepper shaker, along with Parmesan cheese and we were able to doctor the order to my liking… but I mean, yeah. it was pretty bad. Also, the take home portion of Fettuccine Alfredo my husband got with his meal(bc apparently spaghetti and meatballs is buy one take one home) was also very bland. To the restaurant’s credit. I did like how the take home containers had re-heating instructions though. I think that is a nice touch on packaging. In summation, I guess Maggiano’s is very middle of the road for me. I’m not clamoring to come back, but I am not actively staying away from it either.

I came here for a Unilocal event. Most locations, I would give 2 stars, but this one was better than average(at least on this occasion). The GM and chef came to speak with us and told us that everything is made fresh on site, except pasta(which is from Barilla). What we had was very good, but I can’t rate a 4-star without trying an entrée(and I am biased from past experiences at other locations where the entrees were not good, except for the lobster carbonara). What we were served: Peach Bellini — frozen, sweet, delicious Zucchini Fritti — crispy, fresh, yummy. They called the dipping sauce a «lemon aioli», but it was clearly sour cream based vs mayonnaise and tasted more like a lemony ranch. It was good, but I don’t like misnomers. Chocolate Cake — decadent

Came here as a Unilocal elite event. His location just opened. The 50th location, and first NY location will be opening soon in Ling Island. They offered a frozen Bellini made with prosecco, peach purée, elderberry liquor. They served it in a wine glass which meant a much larger portion. Yay! We tasted deep fried zucchini. They were delicious but I am sure the calories for the week. The Panko crust was crunchy. He zucchini is freshly sliced. It came with lemon soil dipping sauce.

I am never disappointed in this chain restaurant. The food is greasy and fatty… and I love that about this place. The service is great! People are friendly and super upbeat. They really make sure your order comes out on time. Today, the chef came out and gave us a few words of welcome. It really makes you appreciate the food on a more personal level. I was really thankful for the hard work that the chefs put into making our food. The layered chocolate cake is on the bitter end and not sweet enough for my taste buds. I have a huge sweet tooth so if you really like non sweet deserts then this cake is for you! This chocolate cake is truly a great way to end a heavy meal.

Simply put, our food was not good. And I don’t like to waste my time writing about bad food. It’s been a while since I’ve visited a Maggiano’s and this was my first visit to this location in Springfield. Our waiter, Lamont, was awesome. In fact, he is the reason I gave this establishment 2 stars instead of 1. But I didn’t come for awesome service. I expect that. I came for the food. I brought my family here to celebrate my Mom’s birthday. We started with two large salads to share — the Caesar and spinach salads — and I also ordered the tomato, mozzarella and basil appetizer. They were delicious. My Mom ordered the sirloin, and the rest of us had pasta dishes — two orders of shrimp Alfredo, mom’s lasagna and I had the shrimp scampi. My meal tasted as if it was cooked by an amateur chef. It had absolutely no flavor. My daughter enjoyed her lasagna. My other two daughters tried their Alfredo but there wasn’t something quite right about it. My oldest stopped after three bites. My youngest was starving and ate half of it anyways but later vomited in the restaurant’s bathroom. My Mom enjoyed her steak and in the end, it was her birthday so I was happy about that. Our waiter brought her out a candlelit dish with some kind of sugar cookies on it. They were doughy and disgusting. We sang happy birthday and my Mom ordered an apple crostada with vanilla ice cream. It was pretty good but with my daughter being sick and three out of five people being disgusted with their dishes, it made for a short evening. Unbeknownst to me, my youngest daughter(who vomited in the restaurant) brought home her leftovers. She then ate her leftovers two days later. I had to go pick her up in the middle of the night from a sleepover because she became so sick. So it wasn’t her and totally her dish. After paying $ 200+ on dinner, I expected a bit more. I will not be back to this location unless I’m just getting an appetizer before a movie.
