Great local spices, beautiful store inside and out with super friendly staff! Walk up the ramp and the gnome will whistle at you! Best part of my day ;)

Alden’s Mull House is this adorable, charming, mystical little shop in downtown Alden that has something for everybody: garden lovers, those with a good sense of humor(or not), foodies, and anybody looking to spice up their home décor or upgrade their kitchen appliances. Just walking in you are immediately mesmerized by all the décor. Lots of things to look at on the walls, on the floor, on the ceiling… you can spend a long time just looking at everything and that is something you have to appreciate! There are tons of little goodies and trinkets here, so no matter who you are shopping for, you’ll find something. Their outside area is also precious. They have little detours to entertain the little ones, and again, lots of things to look at in their little grassy pathway on the lawn. The prices cannot be beat, and it is so worth coming here even if you don’t buy anything. Simply looking around is a treat!

Great little shop had every spice the wife could imagine and a little themed garden for everyone to enjoy. The shop offered a variety of other complimentary items on the ground floor of an old home. If you are on Alden this is a must see.

Always a must when we are up near Traverse City. My wife loves this place. Some of the spice mixes they have are really fantastic and have become a staple around our home. We love the Steak seasoning They also have a great selection of really cool kitchen tools Really a great place, reason alone to go to Alden

This place is a must-stop when you’re in Alden. The store is quirky and always has unexpected surprises — it’s great to explore all of the kitchen gadgets and serving pieces. They have tons of Alden Spice Mill branded spices, dip mixes and seasonings. They are well-priced, high-quality and don’t have fillers. I especially love the malabar pepper and the Miracle Blend. They make great gifts(some are packaged in gift boxes to make it even easier).

The Spice Mill(as we call it) is my favorite store in Alden. The mill house sits on it’s own lot and has a big wooden sign out front. The yard surrounding the spice mill had all sorts of yard decoration, including a porch swing. Inside you will find custom spices blends, regional foods, cooking tools, toys, and collectibles. I make it point to stop in here and pick up a few packets dip mix, which is great for entertaining. They close at the end of December and re-open the first week in May.
