Sushi Hana

Stumbled across this diamond in the rough while waiting for the beer fest event.
We ordered the Sapporo beer and baked lobster roll. They service is some great fondue soup?
The sushi was to die for we had the baked lobster roll and man it was fantastic!
Over all the service was good the food was great and the beer was cold.
We came at 4pm and it was perfect. Before the crowds hit but at the perfect time to get everything fresh.
I will definitely return here. Possibly the best sushi ever had. No exaggeration.

It is down town so expect to pay for parking. No biggie though, should only be $ 1-​$ 2 depending on how long you’ve got for lunch!
They have lunch special bento box’s for $ 7.95 which come with soup and salad! A great deal for lunch! I recommend the Kamikaze Chicken or the Pork/​Chicken Cutlet! Sooooo good! Be prepared to take some home too!

It was really good sushi for a decent price. The service was great and everything came out at a timely manner. The sushi was very good. We got a party platter for 4 of us and it was really filling with a ton of variety. I didn’t expect sushi in New Mexico to be good but it was.
Good sushi for a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend if you like sushi.

We had to pay for parking nearby because there was nothing else available.
When we walked in a guy greeted us and told us to find a table. This same guy became our server. The only problem was he forgot about us and started helping other people that showed up after us. Then as he was walking by us he saw us and you could send the shock in his face. He was very apologetic about it.
we orderered a variety of rolls to share and everything was pretty good. The volcano roll was amazing! I would definitely come back just for that. Although we felt the rice wasn’t sticky enough so all the rolls kept falling apart.

Consistently good sushi. Fresh fresh fresh! I have been to a few places in ABQ and haven’t been impressed. The staff is always friendly and the place is always clean. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I’m going to start with the good. The sushi was actually pretty tasty. My favorite roll I had was the volcano roll. I just wished for a couple more scallops on top.
I never realized how much I appreciate great customer service until I had dinner here. I was really thrown off after reading the Unilocal reviews of this place. A lot of reviews mentioned that they have great customer service. However, in my experience here (and the other patrons) that was not the case.
I want to say our server said a total of 5 words to us: «Was everything okay?» & «Thank you.» Keep in mind this was after we paid the bill. Maybe 6 words with «Drinks?» before ordering. At one point I saw another patron get up and search for a server to get a pair of chopsticks. They had their sushi for about 15 minutes without any follow up from anyone. I can relate since we were not followed up on after receiving our sushi.
Yikes what a bitter taste left in my mouth! I love sushi too! But apparently customer service has a HUGE impact.

Sushi was great! We had the shrimp tempura roll. The tempura was nice and crunchy and the roll was tight and didn’t fall apart when we picked it up with our chopsticks.

The sushi was really good but it took quite a while to get it. If you’re not in a rush I would recommend it but if you’re hungry — I’d probably choose another restaurant. I also thought the restaurant was too bright. I felt like I was dining under a searchlight.

Horrible sushi!!! Got it to.go.they didn’t include wasabi? Wtf? Real fishy, not fresh, not impressed.

Good luck finding anywhere to park near the restaurant on a weekend. The parking lot across from the restaurant charges $ 6.
Aside from the inconvenience of finding no parking the sushi tasted awful and had a weird taste to it. Almost tasted like the sauce was old. Something was just off. Both my boyfriend and I got sick after eating it. Needless to say we will not be coming back here.

Yet again, amazing experience. The staff is always great. Happy hours are 11am to 2:00pm and 4:30pm to 7:30pm. Haven’t had a roll that wasn’t delicious and I’m from Seattle!

Good food, great service. The place was clean and quiet. The sushi was good and tasted fresh. I had a spicy tuna salad and while the dressing was flavorful it was nothing more than some cut up lettuce with mushed spicy tuna and a little fake crab. I also found the spicy tuna to be a little too spicy. Husband and I had two special rolls that were amazing except for the spicy tuna… again, the spice/​heat was a little too overpowering for me. I’d definitely give it another try though, and explore other menu items.

The food is good. The staff is friendly… Pricing is great during happy hour. Otherwise it’s pretty pricy. It’s usually quiet there so a nice place to have a date.

I was wary of getting sushi in NM. I didn’t get sick and the place had a mix of different rolls. The service is good and I really like their happy hour. It’s a solid sushi place.

So I’ve eaten here a LOT by now, and I have to say that their sushi is fantastic and consistent every time! Their happy hour is great, and miso soup comes with every order. My personal favorites are the spicy salmon & the super crunch roll. Delicious! I definitely recommend.

I’m from LA, where our sushi is amazing! So I was super apprehensive about trying a sushi place out here in NM… It was a Friday, around 2:45pm. Paid $ 2 for parking for two hours, which I didn’t need but that was the minimum.
Went in and got seated right away. Myself and the little girl I babysit ordered a Tiger Cali roll, Philadelphia roll, shrimp tempura roll, and sashimi of yellowtail… All was delicious! And came to $ 25. You can’t beat that. Good sushi for a very reasonable price.
Also, one of the servers noticed my little girl struggling with her chop sticks and they came over and gave her a pair of co joiners to help her out. Thought that was very sweet.
Would definitely come again

I had the Kamikaze Chicken Box and couldn’t have been happier, because it had everything-​not just chicken.
Oh and Miso soup was sitting at my table, as it is for all guests when you order your drink! Awesome!

This is a fun little place. I haven’t had much in the way of sushi in ABQ but this was a good stop. We sat at the counter so service was a little mixed but we did get everything we needed. The rolls were fresh and the green tea had a great flavor. We went with some really basic rolls and tried a Volcano Roll as our option with all the extras. It was a solid pick with scallops also on the roll. A bit much on the sauce but that’s easy to get around. This place is worth a try.

While eating there, i found this place decent. They had a few vegetarian selections on the menu. Their waitstaff was nice enough, and took plates away from the table at a reasonable pace. I could have seen myself going back there time & time again.
Unfortunately, a little over an hour after eating there, and, well, drinking their water, I was walking the streets of downtown Albuquerque and had to pee. It was pretty bad. When i found myself approaching Sushi Hana, on the way to the car, I thought to myself, «Hey, i just ate there. And drank their water. I can pee there. Let’s go.»
I headed inside made eye contact with the greeter who had greeted me earlier in the evening, as i walked toward the bathroom. She was getting ready to clean a table. On my way back to the bathroom, I heard her say «Excuse me,» and as i turned to look at her, my waiter from earlier was approaching me. They both told me i couldn’t use their restroom. I said «I was in here an hour ago.» The greeter said I couldn’t use the restroom unless i was eating there.
Soooo, i guess i’m boycotting this place, since they have some policy that says customers can’t come back to pee within a reasonable amount of time after dining with them. It seems a little unjust that i tipped my server $ 6, only to be told by him i couldn’t use their restroom an hour later. Apparently the $.50 worth of wasted water for the establishment is a little more important than customer satisfaction.

After a few times here, I’ve had great food, good prices and good service. The sushi happy hour is awesome with half priced sushi and the bento boxes are bigger than you expect!
