I had never actually ventured to Starbucks for a latte or frap. So I just asked the cashier about what a beginner would like. She explained the taste of expresso and her own preferences. Another associate also offers a great description and asked what I normally get. I told her a regular hazelnut coffee which I felt I inherited from my mom. She then said she could make me a hazelnut latte! I was like YESPLEASE! And happy they helped: D now I won’t look like a fool at another Starbucks again!

Open on Xmas Eve. Open on Xmas Day. Only thing open in downtown ABQ. Long lines. Where are these people from? Oh, the hotel. Oh, they are police officers. Service was kind enough, but not everyone appeared to be just peachy about being at work over the holidays. Coffee was good though, and so were the sausage, egg and cheese sammiches.

There never open. They say there open till 5pm and the last 4 times of going there close at 2pm and 3 pm and 330pm on different days. Don’t count on it being open.

Horrible. I ordered a decaf this afternoon. The girl behind the register informs me they don’t have anymore decaf, is a decaf Americano ok? Sure. She proceeds to charge me the full price of the Americano instead of the decaf coffee. I’ve been to Starbucks before. If they have to make a substitution for something that is on their menu because they don’t have anymore, the charge is for what you originally ordered, not the substitute. I pointed this out and she got an attitude. She corrected it, but then got snippy with me saying in a snotty tone, «in the future, we only brew decaf until noon, ok? Right. That makes a lot of sense. If I want decaf, it has to be in the morning when I would normally drink regular. Then, she puts in my order with the barista for a REGULAR instead of a decaf. I go to pick it up, and notice the decaf box isn’t checked. So I ask the barista if it’s a decaf and she says no. I tell her I ordered a decaf, and she also gets an attitude with me saying she only makes what the cup says. What ever. Not my fault your cashier is incompetent. I didn’t say that to her but all I could think was the place is full if idiots who know nothing about customer service. Avoid this place in the afternoons. Actually, avoid altogether. The staff needs some serious training on how to treat customers.

Stayed at the hotel was looking for a quick bite. Food was good but people behind counter were not happy to be there at 730 am. A little good morning to their customers might improve their somber mood.

I go to Starbucks every single day and this was the most inconsistent and horribly ran store I have ever been too. I ordered 2 drinks. Both were wrong. My coffee cup had a leak and I had to go back to the hotel to change. Even worse than all of that was the customer service. Horrible rude women who hate their jobs make the experience even worse. The only shining star in this crap hole was Sonya the cashier who I am sure spends her days apologizing for what the customer endured before we ever got to her.

My favorite Starbucks. The staff makes this place worth going to. Very popular like other reviews have mentioned BUT worth the short wait. The girls specifically are amazingly sweet regardless of the time of day, always smiling. Worth visiting!

This place is being bombed but the reviews are older(’08 and ’09) and the STarbuck’s isn’t bad. It is a hotel Starbuck’s(located in the Hyatt hotel) but opens onto the street as well. The neighborhood still doesn’t seem to be into the coffee culture that much compared to other cities. True. But my drink tastes the same here as it does in other states. It isn’t open late.(The Saturday close at 2pm had conference attendees upset and the SB lost a lot of money.) It is a basic Starbuck’s but it has nice employees and clean tables. Inside and outside seating depending on your preference. I saw them take a gold card. Note to corporate put more food in this location for convention goers who don’t have a long lunch and want a quick bite. Conference goers would love a different choice nearby. All in all I was happy to have it in the lobby of the hotel and visited daily for days.

HMMM… again– preplanning would help. When you are located in a town that is attempting to attract conventions– but said location does not have a coffee culture– but much of the rest of the country does– it would SEEM to make sense to flex a bit. Yeah– nope– that is not happening. Long lines, 3 people working the counter– and no real sense of urgency. Oh well. For those of us who live on caffeine, we have no options– and must stick with you. But really– this could be done better. Oh– and closing at 5? Really. It is NOT1950. Many people drink coffee around the clock!

This SB is located within the Hyatt Hotel, although the interior looks nice, and the coffee is Starbucks, that is all good I have to say. Again a SB that does not accept my black-card, I am getting used to the 10% discount, and not getting it starts to upset me a little. I pay $ 25.00 per year for that, so I kinda deserve it, don’t you THINK! The store has odd hours and is closed after 5:00 pm, it’s odd and I don’t like it at all period!

The worst Starbucks I have ever been to in my life!!! Every weekday morning, the line is out the door and the baristas never feel there is a sense of urgency. At least four people behind the counter, but there is always only one at the cash register. Good thing I am in dire need of caffeine every morning and there are no alternatives, otherwise I would NOT go back. This morning, there were 10 people in line, and one of the baristas was just loading up gift cards onto one of the cash registers without helping the customers. WTF? Can’t you do thta at 3pm when there is no traffic? Talk about not knowing how to workload balance. Worst SBUX ever!!! I would never post a Starbucks review but this is worthy to note! Do something!
