I’m a lover of Starbucks, unfortunately the Starbucks on Academy and Wyoming seem not to have the same vibe as others. They often get my order incorrectly, run out of cup sleeves or run out of ingredients. They customer service is mideocre and they do offer alternatives and suggestions, which I appreciate. Their drive-thru is quick and it’s a good location.

Always hit the drive through here when I am crunched for time. The customer service stinks and they are never happy. I have stopped going to this location — they need new employees. It never fails, they have no idea how to make a Carmel Machiato– not sure how you mess that up.

Drive thru is much quicker now, even when I’m filling a tumbler in the drive thru they don’t take very long. It’s now my favorite location to go to.

When this store opened I was very impressed with the service and the enthusiasm. Sadly, like so many other establishments in this city, not only has the service started to falter, now they cannot seem to make something as seemingly simple as hot chocolate? WTF Starbucks???

I am amazed at how fast the Internet is here. I am just getting started on Loom, an app that backs up my photographs.
At home, with Frontier in Crownpoint, I spent a 3 hours uploading about 10 pictures.
At Whole Foods in Santa Fe (Cerillos), I spent an hour uploading 10 pictures.
Here at Starbucks, I spent an hour uploading 70 pictures.

As a Starbucks freak, I gotta say, this is the fanciest, chicest, coolest one in town. If it wasn’t clear across town from me I’d be a regular. If you’re looking for a Starbucks with great non-Albuquerque atmosphere, this is the place. With all that dark wood and coffee-roasting scent, you almost feel like you’re in the Pacific Northwest. :P

I know– it’s a review for Starbucks… but this one is THE best. I order the same drink (a Grande, 2-pump skinny vanilla latte) at every Starbucks I’ve ever been to, and most manage to screw it up. This Starbucks gets it perfect every time! I’m so glad there’s a Starbucks in my neighborhood again.
