Great coffee shop. Inside is very hip. Great quality beans. Place can get pretty packed, so if you’re planning on camping out, space might be limited during peak times. They have am awesome walk up window and a nice seating area in the back. Staff are very friendly.

So… I love this place. I love the atmosphere and their efforts to support local businesses within their own. But every time I got a coffee, I couldn’t understand the strange flavor. I figured it could be something between their homemade syrups not being as sweet as others(which I actually appreciate) or their coffee being of some certain origin. But one morning I decided to sit at the bar and watch the construction of the beverages. I was baffled when I watched the barista pull the shots and then leave them sitting while she poured and steamed the milk. The beautiful crema and caramel color of the shot died within seconds… The second I saw the barista reach for the shots, the taste made sense. They don’t time their shots. I told the barista she killed the shot and she just stared at me. Not only was she pouring the shots into an empty cup, she was unknowingly pouring burnt espresso. It makes me sad because I’ve had coffee here that has been mind-blowingly delicious. But now that I sense and have witnessed the inconsistency, it makes me sad and a little weary to return, knowing the barista making my drink doesn’t know one of the first rules about pulling shots.

It is unfortunate for this great coffee place to be open on Lomas. It would have been a great success with more traffic for the coffee goers to try the coffee here. I think Humble offers the cold brew before other coffee shops in ABQ. Though it may be small, people seem to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere here. Support the local business!

The atmosphere is amazing, nice people everywhere. I feel the motto«Stay Humble» really lives up to describe the coffee, very light roast. In my opinion, the coffee tasted like water with coffee flavor. Even after setting a goal of hitting every coffee shop in Albuquerque, Humble coffee was my final one until another opens. In my rating of best coffee shops in Abq, Humble is lower on the spectrum. In conclusion, personally I Wouldn’t visit there again, unless they were to gain a darker roast. The atmosphere gets a 5⁄5 The coffee gets a 2.5÷5 The location gets a 4⁄5

So many coffee shops here in ABQ, so little time to visit all of them. Anyways, I love this place! The people here are the friendliest you’ll ever meet! My most fave thing about this shop is the color scheme — as I am a big fan of the mint/grey color scheme they have going on. Humble is definitely a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee &/or snack while catching up w/a friend or getting some studying in. I usually go for the iced chai w/vanilla every time I’m in – but occasionally, I’ll get the latte. The chai is house made from scratch daily so it doesn’t get any better than that, honestly! I also really like how their coffees aren’t really ‘burn your tongue off’ hot, but they’re doable since they always have cute little latte art on them. I highly recommend this place for your next cup of coffee!

The perfect little local coffee shop! Everyone is so friendly. If you go often enough they get to know you and what you like, it feels like personalized service. Their whole mission is not only to be a great coffee shop but also to support local business and local communities. They use local roasters. The milk, honey, pastries, burritos, and all the merchandise are all from local businesses. To date they have had two«pop-up» events and they were both so fun. Each featured tons of little local vendors. My wife and I bought several Christmas gifts at the most recent holiday pop-up event. The atmosphere is really chill and the staff is all smiles =) The lattes are super good, i’m a cappuccino drinker myself and its always right on the money. They use home-made syrups and also make their own chai from scratch. I’ve never had to send a drink back. But i have seen them make a new drink for someone who didn’t like what they ordered. Highly recommended!

This place is small, so sitting and drinking your coffee is probably not that doable. The barista was a bit snobby, but the cashier was nice, so I was happy with that. I ordered a chai and had it described as spicy, but it was weak in my opinion. On the other hand, the Americano was pretty darn good. If you’re into drinking black coffee and opt for an Americano, you are at the right place. Lastly, this place should consider taking down names when taking orders to avoid cranky customers who get their drinks taken due to identical sounding drink orders.

Coffee is important in my life. I roast green coffee beans at home and rarely drink coffee outside of my house. Beer, saki, a really good martini, and beer. Finding a good cup of coffee when traveling is often a chore. Even with the internets and Unilocal and what ever else it’s difficult, imagine my surprise when I could see a fantastic smart and new coffee shop in Albuquerque, from the bed room I was sleeping in, or waking up in as the circumstances had it. Humble made me a fantastic cup of coffee. The barista(s) were friendly and knowledgable. Im quite the coffee snob, from years of home roasting, and Humble is the real deal. worth a stop if you are in the neighborhood.

Terrible cup of house blend dark roast. Saw it getting poured into my cup and it looked weak. I couldn’t say something to the barista because she was talking about how good she was at her job and I didn’t want to interrupt. Probably the worst cup of coffee I’ve ever had. Just weak and tasteless and basically warm water. Didn’t go back for a refund because that’s a pain in my ass and if you can’t get your house blend right you just get a shitty Unilocal review. 2 stars because the donut I got was delicious but I don’t think they had anything to do with that.

The adjective I have to describe this is «alright». The espresso is very good, although I could not taste the vanilla in my vanilla latte(and after paying $.50 extra, I expect to be able to)! But it was not to sweet, which I did appreciate. It was overall a good latte, just not vanilla-y enough. I do love that they have a London Fog on the menu, but heard a barista describe it to a customer as an «earl grey with steamed milk» which is NOT a London Fog! There needs to be vanilla(and sometimes lavender) syrup included. It sounded like patrons would have to add that(at the cost of $.50, I’m sure). The place was very crowded because of a little fair in the parking lot, and the baristas were kind of snotty(which is generally the mark of a quality coffee shop)! But because of the crowd I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt in terms of their attitude. Overall the place seems dingy somehow, and even if it was not busy I don’t think it would be a place where I would come to do work or even meet a friend. Strictly a «I’m in the neighborhood and need a good cup of coffee to go» sort of place.

On a return trip to CalifornIa from Arkansas, I was pleased to stumble upon this lovely coffee shop. I had a well balanced solo espresso, and more than fair quality double dry cappuccino. I was pleased to see quality latte art in other patron’s cups, and friendly barista behind the counter. The general atmosphere is quaint and comfortable, with plenty of seating. On the rear of building is a gorgeous mural and ample parking. If I were to travel through Albuquerque again I would be pleased to come here again.

This place just keeps getting better. I can’t think of what I’d change but getting the word out a little more about how you support other local businesses. I had no clue your beans were from a local roaster until recently.

Came in because I heard about their great coffee and atmosphere. Left feeling like I bothered the two people working at the counter. It’s a really nice place inside, I just wish the people working that day weren’t so standoffish. I am a naturally friendly person and had to initiate the conversation when my husband and I walked in — the two employees seemed to care about finishing up their conversation instead of help us. I even let the girl know that it was our first time at Humble Coffee hinting for her to suggest something — ANYTHING! — as we were gazing at the menu or at the very least make small talk. I decided upon the cold brew and my husband got a caramel macchiato. Mine was pretty good, but I felt so bad for my husband’s because his was in a tiny paper cup(you know, the ones you can use for samples) and it wasn’t hot. We ended up sharing mine, which was fine. After we got our drinks(and after my final attempt to get any kind of friendly response) we went outside to sit on the patio. It was a really nice day and that definitely helped with this review. We’ll have to try this again because everybody has their off-days, but sadly there wasn’t anything«humble» about the people who were working there.

This is place has a cool atmosphere and delicious cup of coffee. I would give it one more star, but something about the service irks me. The best way I could describe this is that service is selectively friendly. When it’s good it’s good, and when it’s bad it’s bad(aloof attitude and bad in comparison to the service given to another guest). Maybe I wasn’t hipster enough, but Humble Coffee, please keep striving to live up to your name! Keep making those awesome drinks too.

Visited Humble Coffee today. Ordered a Ice Latte with almond milk. Love any place that has several options for milk replacement. They have a good number of seats to choose from and a nice environment to talk or study in. They have a bunch of little things to purchase from shirts to cup holders to mints and gift cards. It is not often that I find a good almond milk latte. I was impressed. They have a few seats out front along with seating in the back if you want to be outside.

Humble has slowly but surely become my single favorite coffee shop in Albuquerque. Located north of Nob Hill, this section of the Lomas corridor had been poorly served until recently. The interior is predominantly defined by reclaimed wood and concrete and decorated with a number of quaint accoutrements giving the space a relaxing feel that’s both timelessly modest and somehow modern. Their recently expanded café and rear patio seating area ensures they’ve always got ample seating to enjoy their excellent brew. The coffee they serve is brewed from a seemingly endless string of different coffee roasters local and global ensuring their customers get a wide variety of origins and roast styles. The staff is always friendly, and their barsitas knock their espresso offerings out of the park. The only gripe I have with Humble is their lack of food offerings, but considering their good hours, free wifi, and great brew, I can look past that enough to find myself here 2 – 3 times a week.

quad latte, yes please! Homemade syrups make me a fan too. Also, I took advantage of the free syrup with Unilocal check-in! Hooray.

So, my friend and are are hitting up all the local coffee shops on our bikes. This was the first on our list of great espresso bars to rate and found it pretty good. We both ordered are normal drinks– an americano for my biking partner and a café cortado(1 part espresso, 1 part milk). By buddy found his americano average. It was well brewed, but it did not have the fatty acids on top of the coffee as we have seen in other freshly roasted and freshly brewed shops. My café cortado had the same normal espresso with well steamed milk. I enjoyed it, but have had better. Some pluses is the outdoor patio and the bike up window. All in all, humble is a cool little place and we shall be back.

I like Humble. As a philosophy, a way of moving through the world, I mean. And I can’t think of a downside to using the term to name your business, particularly in the coffee shop arena, which is such an elitist game. Choosing a name for something, particularly a human, is serious business; I know, I’ve named one, and I’ve met more than a few. As a general rule, don’t – absolutely do not – name a female after your favorite liqueur; I can’t think of a better example of how the universe automatically responds with appropriate measure. Literally every single Brandy, Sherry, Cristal and Margarita I’ve ever met was fully responsible for her father’s premature heart failure and balding. This applies equally to car names: if you call her Mercedes, Porsche, Lexus or Bentley, you will inherently send the message that she is somehow drivable. Trust me, you do not want to do this. Okay, so I digress. I really digress. But I’m harping on the idea that, occasionally, a Thing can sort of organically inhabit the Essence of its namesake. And in the case of Humble Coffee Co., this couldn’t be more true. The coffee shop I entered one year ago was a skeletal version of what you’ll experience today: eating options are really elaborate, seating has greatly expanded(front room and back patio), the walls are tattooed with images and objects, it’s open all afternoon and the coffee, whoa, the cups are way elevated. Regularly featuring new beans from estates the world over, not only does Humble know how to source, they know how to brew it. Avoiding sweet stuff, these cups feature the meek characteristics of their origin; expect to investigate bitter, butter and earth notes, all signs of a mature, understated approach to a coffee house. In a word, Humble.

What I love about Humble: They aren’t afraid to serve their fun coffees and chai with a minimal amount of sugar, if any at all. Most places serve a syrupy-sweet concoction; over-the-top madness. Humble’s mocha latte and chai are a creamy deliciousness one doesn’t always experience elsewhere. You can actually enjoy the spices in their chai. They offer up pie tarts and other baked goods from the scrumptious New Mexico Pie Company. The space is hip and compact. The owner also owns the architecture firm next door, and has a wonderful eye for design. Comfortable upright chairs and a decent amount of electrical outlets, make working or hanging out worth it. I’m taking one star off, because they are only open until 4 p.m. weekdays and 3 p.m. on weekends. Come on, You Guys! We love you so much, we want more of you. Stay open later. Please. — — — - UPDATE: Within the past couple of weeks, Humble Coffee has extended their hours, so they are open until 5 p.m. every day of the week. That’s a great move forward. They are listening to us. They deserve that fifth star. Thanks, You Guys!
