Great little breakfast spot in the Nob Hill area. Seating is limited indoors. You order at the counter and it is serve your own water or coffee. Went during the Sunday breakfast rush and my order came out pretty quick. I had the chicken and waffles. Both were excellent, especially the waffles. It comes with a red chile glaze that was delicious. Chicken was tender and the breading was nice and crunchy. I will definitely go back.

I love the menu of this place… Everything on a waffle! All of the possibilities are enough to make me want to go back again and again — even though it’s a bit pricey. I tried the blue corn sour cream raspberry chocolate waffles(apparently sweet) and liked it, but got kinda bored of the taste after the second piece.(Four pieces on a plate)… But my friend’s savory Southwest Benedict?* was awesome! Go with a friend to mix and match :)

The biscuits and gravy waffle was delicious! The man’s chicken and waffles was ok, kind of plain. It was all really good, and we will go back to try more of the menu… but it is just hard for me to justify $ 34 for two waffles and two coffees… will be back though… eventually.

It was not bad, but was not good. The pictures on here look great and the reviews are all good, so I had to try it. I was a bit disappointed. We got the Ranchero and the lavender waffles and they really lacked flavor. The blue corn didn’t taste like anything. They coffee we had was warm and tasted burnt. Costly for what is being served as well. I do not believe I will be back.

This is Tia Betty Blue’s sister restaurant in Nob Hill that highlights their amazing waffles. They have both sweet and savory options(yes savory waffles and they’re quite good!). I typically stick to their sweet waffle options and particularly enjoy their chocolate raspberry one. Service can take a while(especially during peak hours on weekends). They have signs warning patrons of the wait — which is evidently due to making all of the waffles fresh to order. They have limited indoor seating as well as patio seating in front and back of the building. Dogs are allowed in the front patio and they will bring your pooch a free treat(bacon). They have limited parking as well, so be prepared to search for parking spots along the neighborhood streets surrounding the restaurant. This is a fun, tasty restaurant in the heart of Nob Hill. Definitely worth a visit!

Waffles are pancakes w/abs. but, who doesn’t love waffles?! At Tia B’s, you have the option of making your own waffle(where you have a choice of adding whatever topping you want on top) or you can do any of their menu selection. I don’t remember specifically which one I got the last time I visited but it had smoked salmon on top — I am a huge sucker for anything w/smoked salmon. I’d recommend it if it’s still on the menu!

The best waffeleria in the the city… If you love waffles then you will love this place. If you don’t love waffles just stop reading. you can«make your own» add whatever toppings which includes a variety of fruit. I prefer the egg bennito waffle. A waffle topped with poached eggs and ham with hollandaise sauce. So YUMMY! Sitting is rough, it definitely would be more enjoyable in the summer for brunch because in the winter it is like war. Maybe a dozen tables or less are available. And forget it if you are bringing more then 4 people… There won’t be a table. Go with one friends for brunch! You’ll be good. Taste the waffle :) and enjoy!

The place is crowded and full of hippie/hipsters if you’re into that kinda scene. The blue corn waffles are pretty tasty but the prices are pretty high for what you get. It’s a nice place but I don’t see it getting better unless they move to a bigger location that’s less of a house and more of a restaurant.

Similarly to Tia Betty Blue’s, this place makes my heart sing notes I didn’t think it was capable of! The symphony of flavors that go into each waffle, each delicate topping… every bite is a worthy of a standing ovation. I’ve had more than half of their menu and I’ve never not liked one, or thought one was better than the other because they’re all just THATGOOD. If you’re in Nob Hill, skip all the other breakfast places… You have to come here!

I was super excited to try this place and have had it on my to do list for months. My husband and I shared a Ranchero and the cherry goat cheese waffle for a sweet and savory combo. The toppings were delicious. The eggs and green chile were juicy with flavor and the cherries with goat cheese were rich and delectable. Unfortunately, I loved everything but the waffle. The sogginess of the waffle just seemed to distract from the toppings. We left quite disappointed and felt like we just don’t get it. We really wanted to love this unique place. The atmosphere was cute, we sat next to the fire, and the waitstaff was personable. When I go back I will keep my carb-rebel in check and go for the non-waffle menu.

*sigh* I don’t want to write a review that is less than sterling for an awesome, different local business! No one in Albuquerque does waffles like Tia B’s. The flavor combos you can choose from and the fact that these waffles don’t know what a freezer is should give this place an easy 5 star«GONOW!!!» review. …then you get there… and you see 10 of your best friends in line… and you realize the line you see is at the end of the line that’s running right through the middle of the old house… and you wait. Please understand, the food at Tia B’s is fantastic, I’m just not sure if it’s «one hour wait while no one at any of the tables around me has a plate in front of them» fantastic.

I have to say eating here on a crisp fall Monday morning has a different vibe than the hustle & bustle from a weekend morning. It’s a time to slow down. Breathe. Go over the menu without having that rushed feeling. No having to save a table as the line wraps around the outside of the quaint setting. I’ve had time to talk o the Waffleria expert asking all the questions I never had a chance to. I never realized they serve omelettes as my bulging eyes have always been glued to The Waffles Benitos. I also never realized the many options of batters for the waffles… Krazy kool options I’m now bound to try. The piece of blue corn waffle I tried today minus the syrup was very earthy and full flavored. I only wish I asked for butter to slather on it. Mmmm! Mmmm! Goooood!!! I’m one that is used to exploring the menu at the many venues I visit but here I have been in love and my eyes only belonged to One… But as with life… variety adds so much joy… it’s the spice of life… Sorry Waffles Benitos… my eyes have seen the light to all the other choices in front of me! Needless to say… a piece of my heart is now owned by this amazing and flavorful egg white omelette… Kudos to Tia Betty and your sweet, knowledgeable employees!!! PS: I also learned about New Mexico Tea Company and plan a visit with them soon!

Waffles may traditionally be a rather simple breakfast item that fill up your stomach using overly processed flour, but that is not the case at Tia B’s. This place is not only waffle heaven, it is breakfast heaven. Their creativity in concocting different batters(many of which are gluten free!!) is amazing. They aren’t afraid to mix different flavor and force your taste buds out of their comfort zone. The décor is rustic and just as creative as their waffles! My personal favorite waffle is the smoked salmon on buckwheat. It is just like eating lox on a bagel. But it’s on a gluten free waffle instead! Also, if you have a sweet tooth you must try the Bombay coconut. If you are craving a super hearty breakfast, go for the waffle rancheros. Side note, while this place is often very crowded and the line might be a bit long… WAIT. It is so worth the wait! If you absolutely cannot wait you can call ahead and take your order to go. I was so impressed by how well put together my to-go order was!

This is a hidden secret just behind Central in Nob hill. Originally a house turned into a waffelria. They have a variety of waffle options ranging in buttermilk, blue corn, rice and coconut. Its nice to have options when you have a diet to go by. The girls are friendly and the food was fresh. A tiny mishap happend with a side order and without a blink of an eye it was fixed. They have not one but two restroom which is a plus. The back patio is adorable and fairly large. They have a parking lot and street parking available. If you are looking for some really good and different waffles then this is a must try. I would give a 7.5 for the blue corn pumpkin waffle and a 8.5 for the bacon and egg waffle(bacon was inside the waffle) eggs were cooked to perfection.

Wow. I am not even a fan of waffles but this place is great. This place offers a ton of options… sweet, savory(salty), gluten-free, build it yourself, etc. I had the ham and cheese waffle. the one with eggs and the amazing cheese sauce with green chiles is even more amazing. So what did I do? I asked for the amazing cheese sauce and smothered my waffle with it. Yumalicious! They have seating in the front, inside, and in the back. They also have water infused with fruit… Staff is friendly here.

Wow. The waffles are light and fluffy on the inside, crunchy on the outside. Superb! Outstanding gluten-free waffle mixes, as well. Prosum coffee roasters’ Ethiopian is excellent. I’m a fan.

Tia B’s. My husband makes the best waffles. They are fresh from scratch with a slightly crisp outer shell and a fluffy inner meat. He makes them for me when he’s feeling nice. He serves them with pasture butter and real maple syrup. I always list it as one of his assets. Waffle skills are pretty great. I mean if you can’t make good waffles, what can you do? I gotta admit, I let another waffle in. Shhhh, don’t tell him I cheated on his waffles. Azteca– seriously, I love you. Your fluffy, chocolatey sweetness has me feigning for more. The Bombay coconut waffle… the things I’d do for another bite. Tostada waffle-weakness with pico on top. The atmosphere is chill, the coffee is excellent. I’m hooked. The owners are also lovely, friendly as can be. Dogs are welcome on the front patio. Although, I prefer not to dine with my my dog or anyone else’s, for that matter:) If loving someone else’s waffles is wrong, then I’m pretty sure I don’t wanna be right. Next time my husband offers up his waffles, I’ll have to think of Tia B’s crazy-good waffles. They have serious waffle skills.

Ever live in a small town? No? How ’bout ‘Burque. This is a big city, yes? Not, like, BIG big, but bigger, right? We don’t have an IKEA, but I mean, we have a minor league baseball team. There’s a direct flight to NYC(one). You can find charcuterie and cronuts if you scavenge. People are somewhat aware of this thing called Unilocal, even if they think it’s a dog website. We’re halfway there. We’re a work in progress. Tia B’s is the flip-side to the small town foodie curse. For those of you paying attention to the new biz scene around here, man, we can definitely operate like a bunch a’ ignant peeps from the boonies. Dave & Buster’s opened their doors and people went apesh*t. Same thing for Cheddar’s, BJ’s, Rock & Brews, the list goes on and on. Lines out the door, months on end, for what, exactly? I’ll tell ya what: familiarity. The same scene, the same food, something vaguely similar to that trip you took to Vegas a few years ago. And I get it, I do. We’re habitual creatures of comfort. We’re genetically pre-engineered to dig on this stuff. But the franchise overlords have sold this city a bill of bad goods. Seriously, folks, we can do better than Cheddar’s. When this waffleria launched, it experienced a reception tantamount to the buzz of a franchise joint without the marketing budget. Everybody, and I mean everyone I knew, told me to check it out. Word on the street said the place was gonzo on weekends after about 9am, and that’s still the case. As it should be. First off, you’re dining in somebody’s house; that’s what it was before the waffles came in, anyway. The menu dabbles in pure gluttony, it’s honestly an orgy. Lavender whipped cream, anyone? Chocolate-caramel-mango-goat cheese-bacon-stuffed gridirons? Imperial cups of iced java? Gluten-free brethren and vegans, unite. There’s even a non-waffle menu for those us(myself included) that aren’t too keen on waffles to begin with. But if you have an inclination, even a sneaking suspicion, to give these waffles a try, I beg you, do so. And do yourself a favor: visit on a weekday, avoid the Portlandia insanity. Give in to that demon on your shoulder. I’m a slut for these eats. You know you want to join me.

Waffle lovers rejoice. The search for a waffle sanctuary is no longer. Take my hand and follow me to waffle heaven. First off the place is cute as heck. The patio was lovely, just enough shade, sweet little picnic tables. You might even choose to sit at the long table and share with strangers or as I like to call them, new friends! Okay back to business, waffle business. I got the bennie style waffles that had a velvety, lovely, delightful green chile sauce. It was on the spicy side which made me make my serious, is this real life face, followed by a loud Oh YEAH! The eggs were basted and had the go to, money, golden egg yolk we all long for. Under the eggs was perfectly seared black forest ham. Such a great classic combo. I also asked for a side of avocado which I highly recommend on this dish. So this was all on top of a fluffy waffle that I think was made by special waffle elves. It wasn’t soggy, it wasn’t too dense, it wasn’t too light, it had a wonderful texture. A+ The wait was a little long, but being outside on a Sunday I didn’t really notice as much as I would otherwise. We were ready to enjoy, relax, and feast. The portion was really big and in all honestly I was full after half but alas I cleaned my plate. This is definitely on my go to brunch places and I will be back to try all their other amazing looking dishes. Carne Adovada waffle I’m coming for ya! Oh special mention to my friends Blackberry Mocha Latte, I only had a drink but it was fantastic. Now go forth waffle enthusiasts, with this knowledge in hand, and feast.
