When I used to live in Las Vegas, NV, there was a local place similar to Federico’s that I believe was directly responsible for at least 10 extra pounds and an easy inch on my waistline. Federico’s is better! So, unfortunately they might eventually be responsible for 20 extra pounds and two inches on my waistline… bastards! Well, that will be one of my many excuses anyway. Nevertheless, these guys rock! The Carne Asada Fries, wow! That adjective pretty much sums it up! Forget chili cheese fries, it’s all about the Carne Asada Fries! A huge mound of fries topped with plenty of carne asada and cheese, top that off with extra sour cream & guac and you have cardiovascular disease in full ignorant bliss! Their tacos are nothing to sneeze at, as well. In fact, I had envisioned they’d be smaller little guys like you get from street vendors, Nope! Big, very big! So naturally ordering three was a mistake. Oh well, my lunch was taken care of the next day, so I’m not complaining. My wife ordered the fish tacos and expressed a great deal of satisfaction, so those are now on my list our next go around. My daughter had the little rolled taquitos and liked them, however, I ordered guacamole for her, and well… not cool Dad, not cool! Lesson learned. All things considered, this will now become a staple on Tuesdays around our house, and you might want to give them a go, as well. I think you’ll be pleased you did!

Total number of people in our group is 11. Not one person liked this food. Two«short dark hairs» in my sons drink. A bone in my burrito. The beans are runny. It’s honestly 5 times better at Taco Bell, can’t believe I’m saying that. For my meal, my wife’s and two kids both under 6, and two drinks it was $ 35.

Whoever Frederico is, I would kiss him on his head ever so gently for creating such a wonderful haven for people who are seeking an action packed adventure into the burrito universe. Let me tell you that if you don’t eat here you will never succeed in life, you will never be fully satisfied. I mean the smart decision is just to try this place and if you don’t like it then I guess you hate a great tasting PHAT burrito at a reasonable price.

Fantastic food and customer service. I highly recommend the Carne Asada and Fries. It’s more than a generous portion and tastes great! Plus they’re open 24 hours, so you can stop by any time of day(or night)!

Always a good choice when I’m craving Mexican food. Unlike other«Mexican» restaurants who drown their dishes in chile and cheese, Federico’s has just the perfect amount of everything. One thing I do want to mention is their beans. They are the most watery, weird colored beans ever. They’re rather tasteless and I never bother eating them. Their rice is a bit better, but not by much. Their tacos were amazing, filled with perfectly seasoned meat. Their carne asada nachos were also incredible, with slim carne asada pieces and shredded cheddar cheese. The service leaves ALOT to be desired and the food is prepared very slowly. The inside of the restaurant is not well kept at all. Very outdated tables, weird lighting and no AC. If you dine in, however, they have a self-serve salsa and chip bar. I’ve ordered several different dishes from here, all of which were very tasty.

Middle of the day or middle of the night, Federicos is perfect for a delicious, fresh meal. The salsas are fresh and HOT! There is a free small chips and salsa bar. Plenty of jalapeños and plenty of flavor. I always have such a hard time deciding what to get as everything is SOFREAKINGGOOD. Today is a carnitas torta, a fresh bun overflowing with carnitas and avocado. Bean burritos are huge and delicious. As are the super nachos. You can’t go wrong here. Make sure to get extra red salsa, it is good enough to drink, literally.

I am on a quest to find my favorite breakfast burrito in Albuquerque. So far Federico’s is at the TOP of my list!!! Fellow Unilocalers cued me into the fact that the wait is longer than at other fast food places, but they also said it was worth it. Agreed! The tortillas on the burritos are super star!!! Clearly they are using fresh good quality tortillas to keep all the good stuff inside. I chose the bacon egg and cheese burrito with green salsa. PLENTY of delicious fully cooked bacon in here, the burrito is stuffed full and hearty. One of these babies is going to keep you incredibly full. I hate running, but I run. Sunday mornings when I drag myself out of bed and head out for my long run the only thought that keeps me going is BURRITO!!! From now on I’ll be using FEDERICOBURRITO as my mantra. Enjoy!

«Just barely OK» Mexican food. Gets a two stars for having good horachata, good chips and real deal Mexican Coca-cola. Chille Relleno was very greasy and the fish burrito was bland with over-fried fish that tasted of bad oil & tarter sauce(not crema)?!?

I wish I could give zero stars. Ridiculous 10-minute wait in the drive thru, even though the restaurant was empty. Food cold and soggy. YUCK. First and last time here. Is this some low plagiarized version of Filiberto’s? Maybe.

My husband & I cannot get enough of the carne asada fries here. Extra guacamole, sour cream, & an order of horchata. Oh don’t forget that green & red sauce! Perfect lunch or dinner if you ask me. We need this stuff at least once a week. Love that they’re open 24 hours for those once in a blue moon late night snack after a night of drinking. Not the prettiest place to sit down. But they have the green sticker & that’s all that matters. Drive thru is slow, but food is worth the wait.

Yes, this is my third update to my Federico’s review — but I keep discovering new amazing things about it! This update is thanks to Howie’s weekly newsletter about fries. I cannot believe I missed an opportunity to educate folks on something incredibly delicious just because I wasn’t quick enough with the review — D’OH!!! Federico’s has carne asada fries. Yes, you heard me right — CARNEASADAFRIES!!! Not impressed? Well, that’s only because you haven’t tasted them. They are ridiculously delicious, insanely yummy, and wickedly mouthwatering!!! Seriously, one order of fries could feed a family of four for dinner. It’s a big olé heap of fries absolutely smothered with their carne asada mix — which is delightful all on its own. Fries, cheese, meat, tiny chopped up onions, jalapenos and other stuff — add some salsa and a little guac — it’s like heaven in your mouth!!! REALLY sorry this didn’t make the weekly Unilocal, but it’s out there now — go have some carne asada fries at Federico’s!!! Your mouth will jump for joy!!!

Came on a weekend and they had a welcome surprise– menudo. Food here is not consistent with the other Federico’s in town. Sometimes it’s really good and sometimes just ok. I’ll bump up more stars with I get consistency in the chicken tacos.

Rolled Tacos, nachos, quesadillas and the carne asada burritos. Mmmm. I am as white as white comes and can’t do heat, but really do love New Mexican food. This place is great. Traditional. And taught me to put lemon and salt on my cucumber slices can’t go wrong.

Federico’s serves up killer food 24⁄7. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, or late night snack, this is my go-to place for burritos. They take a little longer than some other places, but that’s because they prepare your food fresh. Top picks: Chile relleno burrito for lunch/dinner, chorizo burrito for breakfast.

The best Mexican food I’ve had… ever. Hubby agrees. Usually you’d probably assume a 24-hour restaurant would be sub par… But couldn’t be farther from the truth. Hubby loves the chimis and I love their carne asada. Tonight is the second trip there in a week!!!

Open 24 hours… fresh and tasty… reasonable prices… all good. Hubby had a carnitas burrito based on Unilocal recommendations. He said it was alright, but he liked the meat on my carne abodaba plate better. We both agreed that the hot sauce(served on the side) has a «sneak up on you» heat. We plan to go again to try some of the other menu items.
