Things surely changed here for the worse. They removed the fireplace and the great customer service. Of all the pure luck when you think that all you want is a soda for a beverage break, luck changes and you need to leave for the bad service. It wasn’t just the place being understaffed that was to blame tonight, but things just weren’t playing in the cards for the price we would have paid had we went through(3 beverages — 2 being senior size= $ 6 — NOTCOOL!) As I walked back out the door, I did take notice of the tables that have color-changing lights in the one corner. I was told from another person in my family that on another occasion they had here, to get the colors to change that were focused on the table, all you needed to do was touch the colored spots and they’d change color. I personally thought that it was a great addition to have two drive-up lanes to collect orders, but I still do feel that if I’m in the area and am not in any rush, the inside would be the better option. Bring the homey atmosphere with the fireplace back to the restaurant along with your friendly atmosphere, and I might return again. I would have thought that you’d be the same since your renovation, but apparently that wasn’t the case here tonight.

This«brand new» McDonalds is just atrocious! I pulled up in front of one of two drive thru stations… first…and two cars in the other lane were taken ahead of me. The employees on staff this morning(8÷1÷15) were just awful — the woman who took my money had disgusting long fake fingernails(illegal in food-service standards and laws, BTW) and just stood there like her brain was broken. She took my money, gave me my change and then gave me a bag with 1⁄3 of my order correct. Are THESE the people we’re going to pay $ 15/hour? Shape up McD’s — you’re gross!

This McDonald’s has had a renovation since Chris’s review. The fireplace is gone, and seating is now bright and trendy décor with large tables, big booths, and colorful chairs. I hope you’re comfortable in the booths(yes, they are quite comfortable), because that could be the best part of your experience here. The place is understaffed and could be organized better. The only employee who seemed to know what she was doing was the woman manning both the pick-up window and the pick-up counter. Unfortunately she had to spend quite a bit of her time doing damage control on orders(about every 4th sentence she had to say was, «Sorry about that»). One drive-thru customer actually drove around again, came in, and argued with her for 2 – 3 minutes about his order being wrong. She also had to step away from pick-up to assist a cashier to explain to a customer — not once but THREE times — that«Buy 1, get 1 free» means you actually have to «Buy 1» first(frustrating yet bizarrely fascinating to watch too). She was never told in advance whether people picking up inside wanted to eat in or take out. Granted, being under-staffed can come across as inefficiency or thrashing — if this woman is not the store manager, she should be. Thankfully, my meal came out reasonably fast, though I did have to be asked if it was take out or eat in. None of the tables had been cleaned in a long time either. Just about every table was dirty. When I order coffee at a McDonald’s, I like to recount the experience. Here, my coffee was actually someone else’s miscued order from about 3 minutes earlier, and it had been behind the counter for about 3 minutes until the woman I mentioned decided it could be mine. The creamers are in a small bin on the counter, but there’s no place to put the empties. The coffee was, of course, too hot. So… it was on the counter for 3 minutes, plus the time I had it while I was eating breakfast, plus a couple of minutes in my car while I was typing notes for this review on my phone, and then I drove down Wolf Road to Target on Central Avenue. By the time I got into the parking lot at Target, the coffee was finally cool enough to drink comfortably. I wonder if they have to charge only $ 1 for the coffee so you won’t complain. I think I’d like my version of their motto to be «I’m Toleratin’ it!»

I have never waited in a drive thru line as long as i have here. They don’t take cars in the proper order. I was told that they were tired this Monday morning. It’s rare that I can get through the drive thru with a coffee in under 10 minutes.

McD’s is pretty awful all around in my opinion. I think the worlds best McD’s may be worthy of three stars. This one is just average, the drive thru can get WAAAAY backed up and they don’t have dual drive thru ordering stations.
