We tried a few items off the menu on a few occasions. I’m not sold.Sorry. The hummus and bread– bland. Salads are alright though. Pizza? Meh.

I ordered a prima vera and it might be the worst pizza I’ve ever tasted. Bland sauce that tastes like it was dumped out of a can, and wilted, previously frozen spinach. Quite a disappointment.

If I could give a zero I would. But I can’t. And to be honest the food is pretty good but there service is very bad. They give answers like«if you want something then get up and go get it yourself» of course they say it a little bit nicer but still very rude. Spin employees, don’t give your customers the benefit of the doubt. If they ask you a silly question you need to give it a serious answer. Oh and we asked to speak with a manager to voice our concerns and he walked by us a few times and never stopped also the girl who went to get him seemed to have forgot it ever happened. Horrible service I probably won’t return here. Well maybe I will the food is not bad.

Awesome lunch. Great food, super family friendly, and fun vibe. I got the combo with the #7 pizza and Caesar salad. Staff is friendly and efficient. Another great meal 6÷9÷16. Love this place and the staff. It is not full service, but they don’t claim they are. All the staff I’ve dealt with are nice and helpful. Food is tasty and fresh.

I had 2nd thoughts about this place but I wanted to give it a try. This place is ok. There’s not a lot of good choices for the pizza. The staff us nice and place is clean. The pizza was soggy, it could’ve been better. The gelato was good.

A nice fit in the Alameda Landing Shopping Center. Spin is a nice modern pizzeria where you can get pizzas, salads, soups, flatbreads, and paninis. The restaurant is spacious with tables and booths and bar seating as well seating in the patio. Parking is abundant, so no problems there. Pizzas come in a 12′ size unless you order a 6′ pizza and salad or soup combo. You have a choice of 11 red and 8 white sauce pizzas or create your own. You also have 7 salads and 2 soup choices as well. They have a nice craft beer selection at $ 5.95 for 12 oz and $ 6.95 for 22 oz. You order at the counter and select a table. Grab your plates and silverware and wait for your food to be brought to your table. White Bean Minestrone with flatbread — tasty, but felt it was on the thin side. Caesar Salad with added Chicken — the salad had a light Caesar dressing with good amount of chicken breast with croutons and shaved grana Padano cheese. Nice salad. Tri Carni Pizza — three meats(pepperoni, sausage and meatballs). A light crisp crust with a good amount of toppings. As a lover of meat and cheese pizzas, I enjoyed this pizza. Drake’s Robusto — love Drake’s porter beers. Service was friendly and efficient. The cashier did put in a Drake Hefeweizen order instead of the porter. The server who brought the beer said no problem and promptly brought the porter. A nice modern pizzeria that has become one of my favorites in Alameda.

The concept is nice but it’s overpriced. The pizzas have minimal toppings and are almost tasteless.

Ugh. I liked this place until the last time I came here.(6.1.16) I ordered a half order or the arugula salad. I’ve had this salad before and never had any problems with it. However, this last time left me pretty upset. I didn’t even finis my food.): This is the ultimate sadness. I forgot to ask for dressing on the side, but that wasn’t the issue at all. Salad was actually lightly dressed which is just how I like it. My problem was that my whole salad was COVERED in cheese. I love cheese. Like a lot. But this was NOTOKAY. Please see photos. All this cheese made my salad incredibly SALTY. I’m so disappointed. Next time I’ll have them put the dressing and cheese on the side… I like the combo options here. The pizzas I’ve tried in the past have been tasty. Only reason why they get two stars and not one.

This place is an asset to the West End. Not your ordinary, average place for pie. It’s classy and contemporary atmosphere makes it inviting & efficient for a casual, sit-down eatery with good food, drinks & dessert! Their menu is extensive as it’s reasonably priced & there’s so many choices — regular, vegan, vegetarian & gluten-free! A bonus is a gelato bar AND craft beers on tap! Can’t ask for more. This place is all in one! Highly recommended if you’re ever on the West End. :)

A nice quiet place to get a pizza and a beer. Fun slightly fancy pizza. Lots of seating and a patio with heat lamps. I really like the staff here, they all seem like cool people but. there was one person last time I was there. When asked to turn on the heat lamp. He did so. and then said«If it’s not warm enough, you guys know how to work these things, you can go ahead and do it. «Something like that. 1. I don’t know how to work your heat lamps. 2. Sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen. Everything else I have no complaints about. Comfy booths. Clean tables. Big TVs for the sports ball. And all the parking a girl could ask for.

Customer service: meh. The guy who took my order wasn’t of any help when I told him it was my first time at Spin, so I asked what he would recommend for a red sauce pizza, he said, «there are many different kinds»… I waited for him to name a few, but that was really the end of his sentence. So Ooohhkayy, i just picked whatever I noticed first, Margherita. I thought I was getting a freshly tossed dough pie that was thrown in the wood fire oven. But really, I noticed my 6″ pie of 4 slices were so uneven that I’m pretty sure they puzzled it together from previously made pizzas. Maybe because this was 30 minutes before closing. Just I’m a little disappointed in that, maybe that explains such an empty restaurant on a Saturday night. Overall, I didn’t the taste of the pizza, or the service…

SPIN Pizza is really good for what it is — a casual sit down pizza restaurant/sports bar. I take my 4-year old here after his swim class at Aquatec. He tells me the pizza is good, and he really likes how he gets a wooden token that he can exchange for a scoop of gelato as part of his kids meal. I usually get the tomato basil soup, which is quite good. I also notice they offer a nice assortment of beers, including local beers from Faction. Overall I’m very happy that SPIN opened here at Alameda Landing.

Much better experience this time around! I came here with a friend after the warriors game to grab food to eat. The staff was very attentive, food was amazing, place was pretty spotless, and bathroom was clean! They ran out of lemon for me to add into my water, but an employee came back out with a fresh batch of cut lemon! I was thrilled with my experience this time around. I ordered the mini mia of pesto pollo on wheat and had a salad on the side. It was pretty filling for me. I would definitely come back soon and recommend this place to others to try for pizza! I love that there are t. v ‘s for you watch sport games as well.

The short: contemporary take on the neighborhood pizza joint There are so many selections on the giant menu up on the wall — maybe too much that I couldn’t decide. I ordered the Melanzane with eggplant with goat cheese and caramelized onions. They give you a number and the wait for the pizza wasn’t too long(maybe 10 min?). While waiting for the pizza, I took in the vibe of the place: lots of families and people enjoying pizza with beer and watching tv. It’s relaxing in what I would consider an updated contemporary version of a pizza spot(compared to Round Table and Mountain Mike’s). The pizza itself was very minimal and really it’s only the crust, toppings, thinly sliced eggplant, and some cheese. The taste was fine, but the value was low: minimal toppings for an almost $ 15 pizza? I’d rather go to Costco! Nothing too exciting and nothing too special.

I always thought that«Neapolitan» pizza meant«delicious, thin, tender yet blistered crust.» This ain’t it, unless weirdly salty bread is your thing. Sadly for the actually quite fresh and delicious tomato sauce, the congealed mozzarella(my fault — picked it up late), overly dressed arugula, and kind of gratuitous goat cheese didn’t do it any favors. That said, for the quality of pizza available in Alameda, I’d probably give it three stars for being simply edible. Except… Except I also ordered a greek salad with chicken. Where apparently«chicken» means chopping rolled up slices of deli meat into strips and tossing it on top of a salad like weird meat fettuccine(photo is below). I didn’t even bother with the dressing, which had the consistency of pink cornstarch slurry. No. Next time I’m this desperate for bread products and a salad, I’ll try Subway.

I came in finally for the for the first time today. I order the lunch special @ $ 9.95, «6 Hand Tossed Pizza with a choice of soup or salad. I chose the salad. I think it was the tri color with cucumber buttermilk dressing. WOW! I had an awesome experience. It was clean, you could see the kitchen. Angelina was very concise at explaining the method of service and menu to me. I had such a pleasant experience. What stood out to me where the blistered tomatoes and how they were seasoned. Yum. It was a unique flavor and something new that I wasn’t expecting and was very happy to have tried. My pizza was phenomenal. I chose pepperoni and salami. So. When I got home I told my boyfriend right away what an amazing experience I had and how he had to try it. He is not a foodie like me. Ok, anyway– he was convinced. He phoned in a Margarita pizza and I drove right back over to pick it up. Very good pizza and very good salads. Its not just a «filler menu». The salads are like really something else, and the pizza, is just way to good. This is my favorite restaurant in Alameda right now. I’m telling everyone about it. Go, your tummy will thank you.

This place is pretty good! Though I think it can get a little pricey for just pizza and beer. But then again I don’t share my pizza so my boyfriend and I have to get 212″ pizzas and 2 IPAs which comes out to about 45 bucks. Sometimes I think about getting a 6″ pizza instead, but then I laugh because that’s a funny joke… Anyways, we’ve had the bbq chicken pizza, the eggplant one, and the prosciutto and arugula one –I forget the numbers. They’re all tasty, but I’m giving this place 4 stars instead of 5 because sometimes I find the pie to not be cooked enough. like still a little soft. Sometimes the pizza can also be a little dry, but overall I love the combinations of flavors and topppings. Just missing a little OOMPH. It’s at OMPH right now. They have 3 or 4TV’s and always got the Warriors game on so that’s great. Staff is usually nice and helpful and tables are clean. The wait for pizza is also pretty quick. SPIN! also has gelato, so you can grab dessert after your meal! This is a good go-to spot when you don’t want to stress over parking, too lazy to go into the city, or just want to keep it casual wit ya boo

Decent place. The Island is lacking in good pizza places. Eat in is good, plenty of seating, sports on tv and some good beers on draft. Service is quick. I enjoyed the pizza but they were just waay to stingy on the toppings. I ordered prosciutto on mine and they put one measly super thin piece on each slice. I honestly didn’t even taste it cause it was that small. All in all I would go again in hopes that they would be more generous with the toppings.

Is it just me or is Alameda getting real fancy and modernized? Spin! fits right in. They have a whole lot of options on their menu so as first timers, we had to take a couple minutes to figure out what we wanted. They’ve got a great selection of pizzas and beers/wines. We ended up going with the 12″ tre carni all meat pizza and a couple of sodas. The price totaled around $ 21…not bad. As we waited for our food to come, we watched the game on their two TVs above the bar. The food didn’t take too long to arrive. The pizza was enough to share between 2 people, but that’s also taking into account that I wasn’t that hungry. The tre carni was okay. It had an interesting flavor in the meatballs that I wasn’t too into. I’ll probably go with a different pizza when I come back another time. I wanted to try the gelato they also had but I was too full. Next time I come around, I’ll definitely look into that!

Great place to grab lunch… pizzas are yummy with their thin crust and options of wonderful, fresh ingredients. But for me, the draw is the Spin Ceaser Salad… they definitely don’t use some bottled dressing and is made fresh… really delicious with hints of garlic, parmesan… i can’t vouch if they use anchovies but its delicious! So far, tried the carni which is a 3 meat one which i thought had a great flavor… my friend kept saying it had an ‘interesting’ flavor which we deducted it was the fennel seed(slight licorice flavor) in the sausage… also, tried the chicken and pesto and if you love pesto, this pizza you will like. Keep in mind Spin is more of an artisan-style pizza so they are more light on their ingredients unlike places like Round Table or Dominos… so appreciate this place on its own. Staff are working out some kinks but overall, lunch crew is really friendly and helpful. Will definitely return for the Spin Ceaser salad(and add chicken!), their soups and make a custom and unique pizza like a cremini… goat cheese and arugula… oh my!
