Always a great time at this spot with friends. Great music to dance to and karaōke! We always have a blast singing and dancing and enjoying each other’s company. And we always end up having strangers talk or dance with us. The people who come in are friendly and the people who work here are fun and awesome. Great place to let loose with friends!

This is just a local bar. They are not going to make fancy drinks, but if they can they will try. It’s a place to go drink some beers, play the jukebox and hang out with your friends. Now that’s a good bar. Many don’t know, but their is an outdoor area too. Mark is the best bartender and he will take care of you. He’s also pretty cool to talk too. He’s got some stories.

Very comfortable, unpretentious LOCAL bar. Sierra Nevada on draft, Fernet Branca at the ready. Good jukebox, bartenders who will engage you as much as you want, and leave you alone as much as you silently indicate. No one will ask you about the scabs on yer knees either, no matter how much you hint around. For me, a keeper bar …

A great place to meet Alameda’s finest drunks. If your lucky, they will spit on you when they talk. $ 2 dollar Jell-O shots are good if your teeth have rotted from all the meth.

Another alameda alcoholic bar. I really like vintage bars. I really dig Jell-O shots. It’s all good. But again, we get here and these two lunatics begin communicating with us. Cool, I am a social person, into the community and all. Let’s chat. Ehhh, teeth are totally optional. Oh you are crazy, great tell me your life story. Oh you guys are drinking yourself into the grave: to each their own. Whatevs… Then the lady went nuts and turned on us. Admittedly, I was a little tipsy but I still have no clue what made this chick flip out. Ok bye! Enjoy your life. Seriously bar owners, kick these people out. They are creepy.

Depends what you like. Like friendly people, inexpensive beer, horseshoes in the back… A bit of a dive but music you can talk over. A place for a conversation.

Smells like an ashtray because they let people smoke in the pinball room. Bartender from sf is a total tool. Hire local ! There are lots of great dives in alameda, I won’t be going to the«out house» anymore.

They have only two beers on tap here, hence the two stars… This place draws an older crowd, and on my recent visit, it wasn’t the most friendly crowd. The lady behind the bar was quite friendly, though, and certainly could work a room… I’m not normally one to order mixed drinks at a bar, but word has it that they pour ‘em strong here. If this is your thing, then maybe this place is for you…

Only came here once and got rip roaringly drunk… the drunkest I’ve ever been in my life. I recall the bartender was very nice, the shots were hefty… then the taxi ride home, up three flights of stairs, and into the apartment… where I hit the floor. I’d definitely go back, but won’t drink so much.

Love this bar! Don’t live in the area but made to feel very welcome. Gina, our bartender, was great, Funny with a great sense of humor. Everyone in the place was real nice too. Great jukebox with so many great songs available. Can’t wait to go back!

The Friday night bartender here really likes couples. She will encourage you to make out while she tells you stories of how her old man and she passed the«lovey dovey» stage of their relationship years ago and now feign headaches and old age to get out of doing more than getting rip roaring drunk. She also, made obvious by the strength of her pours, highly encourages the rip roaring drunk part. I assume the clientele would have it no other way, as most of them seem to be chasing the dream of perpetual inebriation. The space is large enough to fit a bar and the various lotto machines they house, has plenty of Raiders memorabilia, lights that are way too bright for the damage the drinks are about to do, and bartenders who ask your name and strike up conversation as if scouting for new recruits. Oh, and they open at 6AM, so if you are in the market to lose yourself to the bottle it would appear this place can be quite accommodating.

We had a CRAZY night here last night. After work we hit Lucky 13 for a beer. Soon we were hungry so two out of five of us went to Tomatinas and brought back 2 pizzas to Lucky 13. After the pizza was demolished, we decided to try the Club House for the first time. At the Club we ordered a pitcher of Sierra Nevada and it was a HUGE pitcher. I think we got 5 pints out of it. I got to talking to a local sitting next to me at the bar and after awhile he asked if I would drink a shot with him. We each had a shot of Jameson’s, my choice. After that he asked if I would do another with him, his choice this time was JD. I then moved a bar stool away from him to rejoin my friends conversation. A little while after that, I saw the man I was talking to fall like a tree off of his bar stool and onto the floor between the bar and some sort of Karaōke machine or something. Patrons gasped and someone rolled him over as the bartender screamed not to move him. Too late! There was a puddle of blood where he fell. My friend Josh yelled, let’s get out of here. We left our partially consumed beverages at the bar and fled on foot. On the way back to the car we saw fire engines pulling up to the bar. We knew he was in good hands. We all scattered to our three separate homes left to independently wonder what ultimately happened to John. I am about to call the bar to find out. I’ll update this if I find out any information. If nothing else, we pledge to return to the Club House for another trip hopefully with less drama. There you have it! They don’t call it the Club for nothing! UPDATE: Called the daytime bartender who happened to be the other person he was talking to last night to his left so she was there when John fell. She said she usually sees or hears from him every day but had heard nothing from him yet today. She guesses he is nursing a pretty bad headache and probably has 2 black eyes and some stitches. I told her I would be in contact again to get a further update either on the phone or in person. If I hear more, I will post it here.
