Been here 5 or 6 times and have never had an issue with the service and the food has always been great.

This place … So many fun nights here’s. The owners are amazing, food never disappoints — I still don’t know what my favorite is because everything is YuM! They have daily specials including the yummy beverage called the cooper special which is whiskey and 7 up which is $ 1.05 but only from 5 to 5:15.(Stay classy people-no mods here) it’s an awesome back story that you should inquire about. Let’s see bottomless mimosas –10 $ on weekends 10−2…and by the way these mimosas are legit — not that half OJ half sparkly nonsense. It’s a splash of OJ. Super sweet staff, just overall awesomeness.

Probably our favorite place on the island. Food is better than most bar grub and that really doesn’t describe how good it is! Staff are incredible — friendly and excellent at remembering regulars. Top all of this with two owners — Yani and Coop — who are always around and two of the best guys you could meet.

We came in for drinks and some late night snacks. Their appetizer selection was alright, but not extensive. I liked that they had 21st amendment watermelon beer on tap. Service was alright and it was just the right amount of crowded. A-Ok.

Lousy 10 dollar burger. Could have gone to Jack in the Box of the same thing. Frozen patties probably from China. Terrible.

Food is good. Service is lousy based on my last two visits. I sat at the bar, and left my empty beer glass on the edge of the bar for 10 minutes trying to get a refill. There were not many customers in the place, but the bartender was too busy cleaning glasses to ask if I wanted another beer. Half the time no one was behind the bar for me to even flag down. I went a couple of previous times when I sat at a table with a group, and those visits were nice. Both of those times were in the early evening as opposed to sitting at the bar around 9 pm. The last two times I sat at the bar and both visits were disappointing. The restaurant is beautiful, the location is great, the food is very good, but the lousy bar service ruins it all.

My husband and I love stopping by here for a drink after walking our baby. The owners(Cooper and Yuri) are awesome, they are so friendly and helpful. All the waiters and waitresses are tentative and nice, the restaurant is super kid friendly. Sitting outback around the fire is so relaxing!

Greasy as hell! Fish and chips came with burnt fries. The place smelled bad. My girl and I will not be returning.

I’ve been going too this place forever and at first the food wasn’t bad and we have had better service than others on Unilocal apparently My beef is with the over use of Cinnamon! Yes I said CINNAMON! !! IT’S INTHENACHOS, THEPULLEDPORK, THEDAMNMACANDCHEESE, POTATOSALADANDTHEBOLOGNESE! Come on people who puts cinnamon in pasta and potato salad. I will still continue today come here for games and get wasted but the only thing I can eat is the poblano bugger and the Loco moco because I hate cinnamon. Throw that shit out please and stop listening today people who tell u totally put it in.

So, we’ve been going to 1400 once every few weeks for a while. The food is good(especially the poblano burger), but then this happened; SVG and I take the kids there last night. The little one is 14 mo. s, loves spaghetti, and gets maybe 1⁄3 of it into her mouth. The rest on the high chair, the floor, etc. Linguini’s and Tomatina have been our go-to the last few weeks for this spaghetti-palooza, but we felt like 1400, they’ve always been kid friendly, good food, and I felt like they had been getting a bit of a bad rap over the whole Croll’s Pizza controversy on FB(looking at you, fellow Peeps). So. We roll in, joke with the waiter about how the little one wants spaghetti but she is going to make a mess, he says he’s expecting his first in a few weeks, we talk kids, etc etc. We eat, chat with a very nice couple sitting next to us, pay out bill(extra tip due to mess, per SOP these days), and leave. As we’re buckling kids into car(across the street and ½ block down), one of the owners walks down the street, and across, right towards us. I thought we had forgotten something. He just walks up and says«you know, you guys left a heinous mess.» Dude. You own a bar. Is that the first time you ever had a 14 month old in there? Does a 14 month old eating spaghetti at 7:30pm really leave a more heinous mess than a hammered 25 year old at 11:30pm? So bad that you needed to across the street and down the block? Guess what-we’ve got little kids in a kid-friendly town with lots of places that serve spaghetti, and all but one seem to appreciate our business. And if you have little kids that like spaghetti or anything else that gets past their mouth and the high chair, we recommend Linguini’s, Tomatina, Calafia Taqueria, Rock Wall/Scolari’s, Dragon Rouge, and especially Khan Huong. The little one makes heinous messes at all those places on a weekly basis and we’ve never had a complaint.

I came by here a couple times and had pleasant visits each time. Service is friendly and so is management. Yani, one of the owners, is really cool and down to earth. I had the opportunity of meeting Christian, a bartender, and he was great as well. They have a pretty decent late night menu, and that’s what I usually ordered off of. The quality of the food seems very good. They have a bunch of drinks ranging from ciders, beers, wines and spirits. They have a patio in the back that was nice as well although I never sat there. They have a couple TVs too, so it’s a good place to catch some sports.

Went to 1400 for brunch this past weekend, and will never be returning. Sure it got a little busy, but this is a Sunday morning during football season. We waited 10 mins for a menu(after having to wave a waitress over… she did not look pleased). As we waited for her to acknowledge us again, we watched people come in, sit down, and leave, grumbling«man, the service here is always the worst». So I guess it’s not a one-time thing. Finally ordered. Got served the wrong thing, after another 20 mins finally got the right dish after my friend had already finished. They actually had to ask a co-worker who came in to enjoy the game to work. She seemed great and attentive, unlike anyone else there. One star is for her, because it’s not for the food!

Consistant delicious Pub food with a Irish and Italian influence. Decent service but mostly friendly service but the cliquey vibe of the place can be slightly alienating. There is take out food served late(for Alameda) and i recommend then ribs with greens and grits and lamb shank cooked to falling off the bone. For non alcoholics and alcoholics alike there is a great selection of non alc beer and good soft drinks. I go about once a week. Join me.

Pros: decent food. Often over salted and some items are grossly overpriced, but this is the Bay Area. Cons: service. The service is absolutely atrocious. I live nearby so we frequented this place a lot, always looking past the bad service in favor of the convenience. However… The overly arrogant and often negligent co-owner(bar manager at least — not sure of the official title but he looks and acts the part) will get on your nerves as this attitude clearly resonates with the staff. You will sit at the bar or at a table forever with an empty drink and dirty plate while they either arent present or ignore you altogether. Today we were asked to leave the patio section(that they accomodate with ashtrays mind you) to finish our cigarettes in the alley way. Thats understandable and we were happy to oblige, although in two years of coming here this had never happened. While we finished our drinks on what clearly looked like their property, we were told by the owner(rudely) that we couldnt drink out there. Ok guys make up your minds… so we headed back to our table to finish our food and drinks only to find that they had taken all of it away and sat another party there. Lets ignore how easy it is to know in todays world of technology whether or not a party has paid and left yet, and just get to the part where the bar manager was cocky enough to be rude and standoffish despite being solely responsible for the mistake. He wanted to fix everything by making us one free drink, with no mention of replacing the food we didnt finish. «It was a mistake» he repeated, looking annoyed. Yea, obviously. By the way, you gave away our table. Did you forget? Where do we finish this one drink? Standing around next to people trying to have dinner? We’ve patronized this place multiple times per week for a couple years only to be disrespected and made to feel unwelcome. I will never go here again.

My first time coming to brunch here was great, my second and third time not so much. I came on a Saturday and ordered the bottomless mimosas for $ 10. The waiter gave my mimosas to a different table twice and the explanation was«he’s new he doesn’t know the tables» then they gave me a mimosa off of someone else’s table. how gross is that. My food was cold and they gave me watery sour cream. I loved this place the first time I came, but watching every table around u get service and they act like you’re invisible doesn’t feel good. I won’t be coming here again. The owner even goes table to table checking on every table but mines. I will take my money elsewhere in the future, I even made a joke with my waitress after the bad service and she completely ignored me… rude

Came here with the boyf to have lunch and watch the game. We came in the afternoon so we got the lunch menu. What we got was A-ok. I would like to see the dinner options. We were kind of left on our own, no one came by to fill our waters ect. The drinks seemed really well priced — and on weekends they have bottomless mimosa for $ 10… I’ll be back!

We came out to Alameda with our friend Stephanie S. for Happy Hour and decided on the 1400 Bar and Grill. She’s from the area and hadn’t been recently and we have never been there! I love a new spot. We started with drinks, it was Happy Hour. I loooove HH. They have a great one. Check out the menu and drinks available. My guy ordered the Allagash White, I got the House Special«Plack Thai» — Conch Republic, Whaler’s dark & Lemon Hart 151 rums and Steph got a champagne cocktail. We were all happy. We were a little hungry so we ordered a crab cake sandwich with side salad. It was pretty good and filling enough to go from Happy Hour to filling for Dinner, even though we split it. Good sized plates. My next drink was the Alameda Sunset, made with Hangar One Chipotle Vodka, Peach schnapps And fresh squeezed Orange juice — sounds crazy but it’s so good. Just try it… And just because, we ordered a couple Grandma Cooper’s. Named after a local old timer, she ordered this drink daily between 5:00 and 5:15 p. m and $ 1.50 per drink. Ask for the story, it’s as classic as the place. Love it.
