The sushi here is really good. They will help you decide what to order and customize rolls for you. I rarely get a chance to speak Chinese with my current job but was able to have great conversation in Chinese with the staff at the bar! I will be back every time I visit the area.

We tried to eat here last night(1÷8÷16) with a party of 3, we called and asked wait time and we were told 15 – 20 minutes from when we arrived. We had wanted to try it since it opened and finally had the opportunity to do so. We arrived a little before 7 maybe 6:50 and we were told 15 to 20 minutes. After waiting 55 minutes(7:45) we decided to leave as there were 3 tables open and they weren’t seating anyone. The lady next to us had a reservation for 7:15 and had not been seated yet either. Our 5 year old was about as patient as you could ask of a small child but he was getting antsy and we left. It appeared the hostess was on an island with no help from any manager, not really all that comforting. We may or may not try this again, probably won’t as this was not a good first impression and there are too many good choices around.

At first sight the place looks below than regular, but food and service are outstanding for a fair price. The manager and the sushiman(Quan?) really knows how to be nice and warm to guests. If you like sushi &sashimi try sushi for two is plenty of excelent well prepared japanese style food. If you want a intercultural funny exchange; talk to Quan(?) the sushiman. He is an example of good sense of humor and optimism.

Amazing sushi and the most wonderful wait staff I’ve ever met. I no longer go to any other hibachi or Japanese restaurants other than Shogun. Engaging hibachi experience. Wonderful food. If I could rate anything higher than five stars, I would.

Some friends and I came here for lunch after church one Sunday. I had never been to the restaurant and had no idea what to expect, but I was not only pleasantly surprised, I was blown away! The staff are friendly and fun, and really go out of their way to make your visit special. And the food! I tried the fried rice and veggies, the chicken tempura appetizer and the Super Crunchy sushi. Everything was delicious, but the sushi was out of of this world. And for all that food my bill was under $ 30. I will definitely be back!

Stopped in after work tonight. The service was slow and the food was not that good. I got edimame and it has no flavor. I got the filet and asked for medium and it was well done. I should have gotten sushi lol. The manager did help with the bill so I might five it ago one more time.

From the second my daughter and I showed up we knew we were in a good place. The food here is awesome and the hibachi chef was very entertaining. You will not walk away hungry, as a matter of fact, expect to have another lunch the next day because of the large portions. Very good. Two thumbs up Shogun!

I have found a new favorite place on Arlington Rd. All you need to know about this place is the chef squirted sake into my mouth out of a bottle. But since you’re interested in the food aspect, I’ll write about that now. Shogun is a hibachi grill. Everything is cooked in front of you. They use generous portions of this sauce they called«yummy-yummy sauce», which I suspect is really Thousand Island Dressing. I honestly don’t care, because it was amazing. I ordered the steak and shrimp combo. It came with cucumbers, mushrooms, onions, and possibly broccoli. The steak and the shrimp were cooked in front of me(obviously). I was expecting middle-of-the-road quality food, but that was not the case. The food was amazing. The steak and shrimp both tasted just as good or better than Outback. The best part of the visit was interacting with the chef and the server. The chef and the server were both HILARIOUS. They were all from Japan. I don’t know why a Japanese person would want to immigrate to Akron, but that’s none of my business. They joked about everything and, as I said earlier, gave me free alcohol.
