Wet Seal

Walking thru the mall just browsing around, in the window all I seen was a BIG red 40% OFF sign:)).For any lady we like to see them signs.
For me I hardly ever shop in there, but being I am looking for a dress for my company Christmas party, I figure I give it a shot. Well when I first walked NO-​ONE acknowledged me, but that was fine, I found my way to what I was looking for. As I proceeded to keep looking, 2 employees walk right next to me without saying a single word. I continued to keep looking at a dress at top n was debating if I should interrupt their conversation, it clearly wasn’t about work so I didnt want to be rude. I thought that maybe them seeing that I was interested in something I needed a reach they wouldve helped, well couple mins went by and NOTHING:((.So, I decided to interrupt, they both looked very irritated that I kindly interrupted their conversation for some help.
They were in a rush to get me what I asked for and never bothered to see if I needed anything else. It wasnt until about 10 mins later one of the employees I want to assume over heard me say I wasnt getting any help when I was on the phone and low n behold as soon as I got off the phone she offered to start me a dressing room…
Ok lets fast forward to the dressing room. As I entered the attendant was friendly n smiled. I had about 6 dresses to try on so it took me a while, can u believe that not 1 person cked to see if everything was alrite, correct me if Im wrong but I thought thats what the dressing room attendant was for, but ahh maybe I expected way more or better customer service coming from Customer Service management.
I never end up getting any of the dresses, so I decided to look for jeans and to my disappointment they dont have very much larger sizes. I am a girl with thick legs n unfortunately are in dbl digit jeans size, LOL. But so sad because they tend to mostly tiny figure women. The tops are no problem for me, but majority of the jeans I was interested in didnt even pass a size 7 :((…
But ahh over all my experience in here reminded me on why I stopped shopping in there in the first place…

Maybe things are different here versus the mainland, but the customer service here is probably the worst I’ve ever experienced in any retail location I have ever been in. I’m always waiting around for someone to acknowledge my existence, because the employees are always huddled up by the registers chatting away and ignoring the store full of customers. On the PLUS side, they do offer a vey generous military discount to both military and their dependents. I didn’t even ask for one, I guess the cashier knew I wasn’t from her neck of the woods. In any case, with the lack of options on the island and the great sales and discounts, I can’t help but continue to shop here. And surprisingly, unlike other stores out here, the prices are the same here as they are online and on the mainland (and not inflated to offset shipping costs)!

Thought this place was gonna close down a few months ago but now the look back on track. Came here today looking for a pair of jeans. I remember back in the day they used to sell by length-​short, regular, and tall. Not sure if they sell those anymore. Would have helped if the workers would have asked if I needed any help but I was not approached once. When i walked out, I saw 3 workers huddled together talking about the layout. I walked right pass them but no acknowledgment or thank you. Hmmmm… with that kind of service… they should close. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

This location does not have air conditioning. The past 3 or 4 times I have visited in the last 3 months, it has been hot inside this location.
I love Wet Seal because they used to have nice clothes.
Don’t get me wrong, you can still find me in this store, but it has since gone down.
The quality is not as good as it was in the previous years.
The sales they have are great though.
The workers at this location are not welcoming, friendly, and plain rude.
If you ask them to try on something, they put whatever they are doing down and walk into the dressing room and open the door for you without saying anything. They don’t even give you a number so they don’t know how much clothes you have.
This is my recent experience:
My friend found some cute tops and went to pay for them. The lady who was at the register was folding some clothes and didn’t notice us for 5 minutes. She then pointed to the other register and told my friend, «I’ll help you over here.» She then proceeded to ring up the 2 items and throw them in a bag. She told my friend the total and my friend paid with exact change. The cashier put the receipt in the bag, pushed it across the counter and said, «Thanks.» Not once did she ask «How was everything?» or tell us about the sales they were having. I just feel like no one wants to work here. You don’t have to be OVERLY excited or happy or friendly. Just be nice or at least fake it.
I am writing this review because customer service is very important and if the workers don’t stop acting like they have something better to do than help me, I will not return here.

I always admired Wet Seal for their sales! They have trendy clothes that I love so much! I remembered always getting good deals here until today. I came after I finished work to find a cute outfit and I did! Which was on the sale rack. I was impressed to even find one that I like in my size. I took advantage of the penny sale and got another top. Of course, I got a few other things that would apply to the other 70% sale that they were having. The workers were very nice and informative about the sale. When I was rung up, the cashier lady told me my clothes weren’t part of the sale. Of course I was confused because I got it off the sale rack but it just didn’t apply to it and to top it off, it was worth more than what the tag says on them. I was really disappointed about it. I wish it was a bit more organized, so that people doesn’t have to go through what I did. Hopefully they can improve. You can only get better from here. :)

If you look at the right time, you can find some pretty sweet deals!

I guess I would be showing my age if I said when I was a teenager Wet Seal was the place to buy the trendiest clothes and that was when Wet Seal had a huge store at Ala Moana. Today Wet Seal is still that but not as popular as Forever 21 or Charlotte Russe but none the less still sporting trendy clothes. I have to say I love when they have their penny sale. You purchase something and the second item you purchase will be a penny!!! Don’t know when they usually have that sale but when they do I make a bee line to their accessories.
