Craig Haga, DDS MS – Endodontic Associates

I was very upfront with my anxiety about getting the root canal, but everyone was very kind and comforting. I had a good experience with the people. I believe her name was Ruby… she was the assistant: very knowledgable, gave me a blanket to help calm me, talked me through it, and kept me comfortable enough to sit through the whole procedure. Dr. Chu worked on me, he was efficient, working quickly to not stay in my mouth too long while making sure he did everything right, checked in with me often, and made sure I was really numb before working on me, and that I didn’t feel anything. They both answered all my questions and tended to my concerns. I read other’s reviews before going in, and they talked about all the other Doctors except the one I was getting! But he put that concern to rest as being as amazing as his fellows that everyone said good things about. The place is clean and, besides my nerves, very comfortable. You can definitely feel the aloha and ohana this place has. The staff there is really great. The front desk workers were amazing as well, both in person and over the phone. Don’t want another root canal to happen, but if I needed it, I wouldn’t bother chancing with somewhere else, I would come straight here.

My third root canal in 7 years and, when I knew I’d have to bear an extra day of tooth pain to wait for them to reopen Friday, (Closed Thursdays) I was completely ready to do it.
Dr. Haga did my first two and I was hoping he’d be available. He and his assistant operated like a well choreographed ballet. Gentle, gentle, gentle and oh so comforting and competent. Couldn’t believe that someone else had mastered that great communication and beautiful flow of movement.
I was a little disappointed to hear he’d be gone until Mon. Decided his practice *must* have others very capable, as well because, just going in, you know they’ve got it going on to take great care of patients.
Doctor Gurney, who fixed my cracked molar, completely validated that confidence today. Again, Dr. and assistant worked as a well-​practiced team with quick but gentle, fluid movements and soothing, frequent checks my comfort. Awesome chair side manner!!!
No pain, at all, and not even any discomfort. They wouldn’t promise that for everyone, I’m sure. I’m also sure you wouldn’t find anybody better anywhere.
They’re very thorough on the checking in and after-​care so any questions are answered and future needs anticipated and taken care of. The whole office staff is wonderfully efficient and kind, as well.
Now, if I can just refrain from grinding my teeth in my Middle School periods 4 and 7… ;^D
