Dr. Shaikh and his staff at hawaii endodontics are absolutely AMAZING! After putting off this root canal for far too long I finally mustered up the courage to get this taken care of. I was greeted by friendly and professional staff at the front desk who made me feel welcome and comfortable, the office is very chic, extremely clean, neat and organized. After filling out paperwork I waited less than 10 minutes to be taken to the exam room which was also very clean, welcoming and had a big bright screen on the wall with a coral reef feature to promote a tranquil atmosphere, I don’t do well with dental procedures, I’m very anxious and afraid but my concerns and fears were put to rest immediately when meeting dr.shaikh. He was very welcoming, nice and informative. This was my very first root canal and I have to be honest I was dreading it. My sister actually referred me to HiEndo and raved about how awesome they’re services and her procedure was. They offer these awesome movie glasses that take your mind off of the party going on in your mouth and really help ease the anxiety. Within an hour and 15 minutes I was shaking the dr.‘s hand and on my way to pick up pain meds for the next few days and antibiotics to ensure my recovery goes well.
I would surely recommend dr. s to EVERYONE! I’m so thankful to have been referred to HiEndo and will be returning back to them for all of my dental needs.

Dr. Shaikh and his staff at the Kailua office are very friendly and made me feel welcome the moment I walked into the office. I also like the fact that Dr. Shaikh took the time to listen to my concerns/​questions and explained each step of my root canal in detail. I knew what to expect and was never caught off guard.
I have had very bad experiences with dentists in the past and I have to say this was the best dental visit I have ever had, especially for a root canal! Before the procedure began, I was given a few shots in my gums to numb the area. I started to feel nervous b/​c my heart started beating rapidly and my hands were shaky. Dr. Shaikh’s assistant assured me that this was normal and would subside, which it did. I was given video glasses and watched a movie during my procedure, which took my mind off of what was being done and also made the time go by quickly (my root canal took about an hour). When Dr. Shaikh was finished he also explained that I would feel sore for the next few days and I’m glad he explained this to me. The doctor and staff made sure to keep me in the loop as to what to expect and this meant a great deal to me since I suffer from generalized anxiety disorder. The doctor and staff did not know this about me, but because they pay great attention to detail and make sure their patients are comfortable, they made me feel extremely calm.
I also appreciate that the office called me the next day to see how I was feeling. The doctors and staff at this office truly care about their patients and it is evident that patient satisfactory is their priority.
If you need to have dental work done, I would highly recommend going to this office!
