It was so great to take dance lessons from Heather. She is knowledgeable and taught us all that we needed to know to get out on the dance floor for all of the weddings we had this summer (including our daughters). Heather’s enthusiasm for teaching dance cannot be beat. We loved going to our lessons with her. Don’t look anywhere else for dance lessons…

As an absolute beginner with no exposure to dancing growing up, I couldn’t have asked for a better teacher than Heather. After years of thinking, «I wish I could tear it up on the dance floor,» I finally took the first proactive step by calling Sharing Stars. That immediately got the ball rolling with a consultation followed by 6 lessons.
It was great learning the fundamentals from a world-​class dancer. I quickly committed basic steps (hustle and single swing) and numerous dance moves to muscle memory while receiving a full primer on the basics (listening for the beat… and the difference between club and ballroom dance). With Heather’s enthusiasm and guidance, I have learned the depth of dance while removing the intimidation factor. Thank you!

We are taking Couples’ Dance Class with Heather. She has a way of making everyone feel comfortable and more at ease as we learn some new dance steps!

My fiancé and I were looking for a dance instructor who could help us feel comfortable for our first dance without having anything too choreographed where we had to count/​think about it. We found Heather at Sharing Stars and met with her for her hour and a half lesson. We left feeling great about what we learned. Heather took the time to understand what we wanted and listen to our music ahead of time so we could get right to work learning some basic moves to tie together.
We have some practicing to do before the wedding to make it feel completely natural, but couldn’t be happier with what Heather taught us. Well worth the money.

Heather of Shining Stars Ballroom Dance Studio is a fantastic dance teacher. She is kind, patient, and very knowledgeable. My wife and I signed up for 6 lessons to learn a few basic dances and have a few fun date nights. After 3, we were hooked and signed up for more! Classes are a lot of fun and we laugh a lot. Very reasonably priced, and worth every penny.

After researching different places to take ballroom dance classes for our upcoming wedding, we were a bit discouraged. But as soon as we found Sharing Stars and spoke with Heather, we knew we had found the right place. Heather made us feel comfortable the moment we walked into the studio. She is fun, energetic, and a great dancer. Not only did she make us feel comfortable with the moves, but she gave us confidence! We were both a little shy coming into this, but after only one lesson we were confident and excited to go home and practice! Heather truly choreographs the dance exactly to your needs and wants. She is very hands-​on and attentive. We had fun every minute we spent with her. She choreographed our dance and made sure we were completely comfortable every step of the way. Now our first dance will be an amazing experience we will never forget! Thank you Heather!

Before taking this class, I never would have dreamed that my fiancé or anyone else could have dragged me out on the dance floor.
Now, after one session of classes, we are ready to dance the night away at our wedding reception, and looking forward to taking more classes together in the future. We both discovered for the first time this amazing connection that dancing together creates, and now we’re hooked.
