Got Matcha

Love Got Matcha! My order arrived really fast (and free shipping — Yea) and I could not wait to try the new Super Berry. I put it in the water along with some Chia Seeds as it boils when I make oatmeal and add fresh fruit when its done. It is so good! I can feel the energy from the Matcha and it adds to the flavor of the oatmeal. As I’m not a huge tea person I need to find other ways to get my Matcha fix and this is one of the best! I also mix it into my smoothies — YUMM! I would highly recommend «Got Matcha» to anyone who wants to do business with a great company and feel good in the process!

I LOVE Got Matcha!
I was first turned on to them by a Google offer in August 2012 and have been consistently ordering ever since. The Ceremonial Green Tea has completely replaced my daily Diet Coke habit and I find myself drinking the tea all throughout the workday. ¼ teaspoon goes a long way. I love being a member and getting access to special sales and new varieties. The free shipping keeps me a happy customer as well as the quality of the product.
I feel like over the last year, I’ve gotten sick less often and do no feel the effects of caffeine, nor the craving like I used to. My coworkers often remark at my «exceptionally healthy looking drink» which is a nuclear green color to start. I prefer to drink my matcha iced (first mixed with a little hot water and then cold added to the mixture all day long). I can usually get about 8 glasses out of a ¼ teaspoon this way.
I just ordered another round of the Ceremonial Green Tea and also the Pumpkin Spice, can’t wait to try it!

I bought a $ 25 deal on google offers for a bag of ceremonial grade matcha and a bag of matcha blend (I chose the chai flavor).
At first I was really excited about supporting a small business while getting a great bang for my buck (usually ceremonial matcha are ~$ 30 for 1oz. Gotmatcha was ~2oz!) But I soon found out upon opening the bag that their ceremonial grade matcha is really clumpy in texture, and a yellow-​brownish-​green color instead of a smooth vibrant jade green color. The latter is high grade matcha while the former is lower grade matcha. I’m disappointed but in all honesty I didn’t expect an online deal to yield superior quality tea.
The taste however is pretty similar to higher grade matcha, a little less sweet and hard to completely blend into a perfect froth even with a whisk. So if you’re not finnicky about tea grades, then this should be a great cheap substitute.
I’ve tried various matcha brands in the past including Boku Matcha, Dr. Mercola, GotMatcha and Teavana.
Of these Teavana and Dr Mercola had the highest quality taste and most vibrant and smooth texture. Teavana is what I currently use because it is the most bang for your buck.

I haven’t had the pleasure of trying the matcha yet, but I’ve already been impressed by their customer service. After purchasing a membership through Google, I place my first order. The package did not arrive when expected (although the shipping service indicated it had been delivered on time), and Lou at Got Matcha immediately sent me a free replacement. Can’t wait for it to arrive!

I have started to drink their matcha «ceremonial» green tea every morning with a drop of agave and a heavy splash of almond or soy milk and I feel alert and focused without getting that jumpy coffee feeling. Also, it’s delicious.
Their matcha blends use coconut sugar (produced from the sap of cut flower buds of the coconut palm), which has a low glycemic index of 35 and lots of healthy minerals. The chai blend is quite good.
TIP: They’re on daily deal sites (Google, Saveology…) regularly so if you look around and wait for long enough, you’ll find the deal and can try them out for a super good price.

I also tried GotMatcha through one of the daily deal sites, but was impressed enough with the quality and blends that I am about to buy 3 more full size bags from them. The prices are really reasonable with the preferred member discount I got from the daily deal. The original ceremonial matcha is excellent (bright green, finely ground, ‘grassy’), and I’ve been making matcha lattes with it. This morning I tried the Matcha Cocoa, and it is incredible — lightly chocolately and sweet with a hint of spiciness (like aztec hot chocolate). Years ago I received a container of Godiva Chocolate Chai as a gift — a hot chocolate powder with chai spices and black tea, and I loved it but was never able to find it again. Now I finally have a replacement! I just checked GotMatcha’s website and they have more blends now, including a Pumpkin Spice. If all their blends are as good as the Matcha Cocoa, I might be able to give up my expensive Starbucks latte addiction!

This was the best daily deal at $ 29 for a new (matcha) tea experience without the exorbantant costs like Teavana trying to spill over the 2oz to increase their sale.
The Customer Service is quick fast and very good. This is my 3^rd order with them as I had upper respiratory problems and the Lemon Ginger did the trick. They state what is in the product so no need for additives. Got Matcha is reasonably priced and delicious.
My last order, they even surprised me with a 40g of Pumpkin Spice. What a way to do business and keep me coming back.

Good prices for what you get. I can drink it every day because it doesn’t come loaded with sugar and I can customize it depending on my mood. The other mixes are good too, but I prefer the original matcha. Also, they are very prompt with their orders, even with the free shipping.

My husband and I have a mug full of their Matcha Chai every morning and get that burst of energy and focus we need to get the day going. I have looked for years for something that would give me energy without doing a number on my stomach or containing lots of sugar. This is it! And it’s absolutely delicious. This stuff sells itself. Just try it.

I also found out about Got Matcha through a daily deal and I’m glad I did. The regular matcha is very good and the cacao matcha is delicious. Customer service is great. I hear they are coming out with a pumpkin spice blend soon. Yum! I will definitely be re-​ordering!

I figured someone had to write a review of this place, seeing as they’re all over the daily deals sites right now. I got my deal via Swarm Jam, and was at first worried that it was a scam… as it includes lifetime free shipping and a lifetime discount of 51% on future orders, but I figured that worst case scenario was that I had just paid $ 29 for a bag of matcha… which is still cheaper than buying it in Vancouver!
Having previously paid around $ 50 to get matcha in Vancouver, I resorted to ordering online (mostly via ebay) for the past few years. When I saw this deal, I couldn’t pass it up because the price was right, and the idea that I get a discount and free shipping for life is awesome. Anyways, the matcha has arrived and it’s GOOD. It’s not as gritty/​earthy as the ebay stuff I’ve had before, and I don’t know if that makes it better or worse… but it’s tasty, gives me a bit of a boost without a crash, and is in a resealable bag. They also included a sample of some cocoa matcha which I’m excited to try, latte-​style.
Also, GREAT customer service. I had to change my shipping address due to housesitting, so I emailed them with my request and I heard back quite promptly and positively. I’m glad to have found Got Matcha, and will be placing my next order in a month or so when my supply gets low!
