La Spiga is the best place in Addison to get a real hand crafted bite for lunch. Always friendly and tasty! I’m a huge fan of their desserts also!

What a gem! Stopped in for a quick lunch during the work week. We made it in just before noon and super glad we did. This is a small place with 7 or 8 tables which fill up quick. I’d recommend getting in before or after the lunch crowd or even just to pick up a to-go order. I got the pasta with chicken, ham and mushroom sauce and it was EXCELLENT! I would recommend it if you’ve up for a home cooked meal.

This little hidden gem is one of my favorite café’s in the area. The food is delicious and you can’t beat the price for the amount they give you. AND there’s free bread samples, who doesn’t love free bread?!

Yum… let me say that again, YUM!!! A very good place for an early breakfast or a nice lunch with home made pastas, espresso bar, quiches and of course fresh cakes and breads. And after 1:30p any breads still there are 30% off(if there is ever anything left). I have not had a bad meal or pastry at this establishment. It’s got a casual European street seating feel indoors and is a hidden gem tucked away in the more industrial area behind Addison Airport. It’s worth exploring like I did to find it, I got some great office furniture and found some other really cool things back in the industrial areas around La Spiga. Nothing but good things to say about this place. If you’re in Addison I highly recommend it.

Brownies and cookies are delicious! Their pasta is pretty good also. I work down the street so this place is such a convenient place for me to go. It has the cute little bakery place feeling. I would’ve never known it was a walk in bakery if I had not looked on Unilocal

Some colleagues brought me here a while ago and I loved it. The food here is great and cheap. Sandwiches are fresh, bread is fresh, and the staff are nice too. You won’t go wrong with any sandwich. Also, a half-order is enough to get a person full. Go for the full order if your goal is to be unproductive for the rest of the day. Will definitely return.

I came for breakfast since it advertises itself as a bakery. And I had the impression that it was an Italian bakery. But it’s not either unless if you count some few loaves of breads — but even those, I’m not sure if it’s Italian. Saw a bunch of croissant, cupcakes, and other things that just tells me they’re not really trying to be Italian. Even the people who runs this place are not familiar with Italian offerings, unfortunately. The closest comparison I could make to this place is to La Madeleine since you could eat the unlimited slices and have jam and butter with your order here. But imagine an Italian version of La Madeleine since there’s some pasta dishes and none of the French ones, and imagine the place being slightly worse, super small menu, more Americanized(if that’s even possible) and more expensive. And adding insult to Italians, they have only drip coffee. Yeah… I’m not coming back anytime soon.

Do not judge this book by its cover. I’ve been coming here for years for lunch and it only gets better with time. My go to is the mozzarella salad with grilled chicken added. It is the best caprese/mozzarella salad in Dallas. The chunks of cheese are on a small bed of greens with balsamic. Their pesto comes on the side and it is to die for. This salad is fresh but extremely filling! Plus, you can’t beat homemade desserts and pasties, along with free fresh bread samples. This place is a win for lunch. But remember, it closes mid afternoon!

You would expect an Italian bakery to have decent Lasagna and Pizza but no… It was EDIBLE(at least for my bf). The pizza crust was somewhat of a breading crust that’s not crusty with what seems to be mozarella cheese but didn’t have the same stringy texture and dry up way too quickly. The Lasagna was barely edible. The tomatoes sauce was too salty and the cheese was questionable because it smells rotted like one of those godawful cheese you would eat and spit out immediately. It was definitely not for the faint of heart. On the positive note, the salad was fairly fresh and the roasted red pepper was tasty. The place is cute with other items that I would like to try but after my first time experience here I don’t think I will go back.

This bakery with a small restaurant. I ordered the chicken tarragon sandwich which was pretty good. The house salad is great as well. While waiting for my sandwich, i was able to sample a few slices of bread from their bakery. I ended up buying a loaf of bread for like $ 2 since it was during happy hour. Great place and the prices are very reasonable

Great little place for a nice lunch. A must go! Good fresh food and good prices. It’s a real bakery so the bread is to die for. It’s small but great. Worth the trip at lunch time. But go early.

I finally found a place I could go back to over and over again for lunch. Soups and sandwiches are great, but this bakery also sells my favorite bread in Dallas, murano. Sad I changed jobs so I won’t be able to make it back as often.

I don’t think there is an adjective to rightfully describe this place. I will just start by saying… it is AMAZING. I ordered the Italian Sub and a Double Chocolate Cookie. I will start with the cookie– it is the size of my face. It is also the softest cookie I have ever held. Once you taste it there is no turning back(you might have to hide it if you eat with someone). The sandwich was everything you would expect(and more!) from your typical 3 meat Italian Sub. The bread was delicious and the portion was perfect(I could only eat half in a sitting). While waiting I highly recommend sampling their breads. I tried the egg bread and the jalapeño cheddar — both were OUTSTANDING! This place will become a regular lunch spot. What a great not-so-secret spot in Addison! You won’t be disappointed – at least if you love bread you won’t be!

I’m heartbroken updating this review with less stars because I am a fan of this place. It’s still not a deal breaker as of now, but there are some things troubling me. The Chef who was there for years is no longer there and they hire a new so-called«Chef», but he is not good at all. Our bread constantly has holes, called tunneling, caused by improper mixing. The baguettes is always uneven in girth, and parchment paper will be stuck to some of them. One can also find carbon on certain bread products caused by placing a sheet pan on the bread. Another thing that gets me is I’ve experienced on more than one occasion the Chef being rude to the bakers in front of me. Perhaps it’s his insecurity if taking on a position he is not quite ready for.

I love this place. The food here is amazing. My favorite is the spinach and feta quiche. It’s an absolute must-try. I’ve also tried their pasta(can’t remember which) and it almost goes without saying that it is also delicious. Definitely recommend the chicken tarragon sandwich as well. In fact, I don’t think you can really go wrong with any of the food and the prices are pretty cheap! Oh and there are free bread and muffin samples at the back after you order. The location is rather small, however, so I usually just order to-go.

This hidden gem is my favorite lunch spot. It’s very ‘la madeline’ ish but better :) Ordered: chicken tarragon sandwich, chicken salad, meatball sub, tomato basil soup, italian cream cake, carrot cake, pork chop sandwich, pesto pasta — pretty much everything is so yummy. ooo and they make their potato chips! Seating is limited around 12 – 1230

Mmmmmm… This place makes my tummy go ‘YUM’!!! Ok, I’ll admit it, not everything on the menu is divine — but enough items are to make it a carb lovers dream! The place is tiny! But oh so clean! Their main biz is supplying ½ of Dallas’ restaurants with bread and they do catering as well. Best of: Mushroom soup with more ‘shrooms than soup; Potato garlic soup that will ward off vampires; sandwiches so good you want to save the last bite till next week! The B-R-E-A-D OMG!!! The cranberry muffins(big enough and dense enough to feed 2, 3?!). The fair(eh): Meatballs(not horrid, not special), fruit tart(looks so fab but it’s rather bland), the worst thing? Their hours are way too short!!! And don’t wait till too late in the day or they’ll be sold out of loaves of bread. Hint: Be sure and get the bread samples in the back whether you eat there or get it to-go! I live and work on the other side of Dallas — so I plot for opportunities to sneak in a La Spiga fix! YUM! If you haven’t been — GO!

Everytime I come to La Spiga for lunch, I tell myself to try something new. The problem is, the Chicken Tarragon sandwich is just TOOGOOD! The chicken is always perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The bread… oh man, the bread. There’s just no words in the English language to describe the bread. It’s perfect. The homemade chips are just awesome. I could live off of their roasted garlic potato soup. I’ve tried a few things off their menu and food envied a lot of other dishes ordered by other patrons. Everything comes out looking and smelling amazing. The best part? You can get a TON of incredibly delicious food for a really cheap price! I can’t recommend this place more! If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out! Just make sure to be there by 11:30 if you want to have lunch there M-F because there is limited seating!!!

Cute place, lunch specials(check out my picture). This place does get packed though, but everything here looks good. I also saw a sign that bread is half off after 1:30pm, it’s a cute mom and pop shop. If you are in the mood for Italian, check this place out. Everything is at a decent price, and service is pretty good. The garlic potato soup I sampled was too garlicky though. My friend mentioned that the tomato basil soup was really good. Chicken pizza is pretty good.
