I’m so done coming here. The last three times I’ve been here after work, they say it will be a 15 minute wait for chicken«cooked to order.’»

One of the few places in town that serves fried okra. We come through the drive thru primarily for sweet tea. They take credit cards, but you have to sign the receipt — which is a bit of a pain through the drive-thru. Once every 3 years or so I crave chicken livers. I have no idea what nutrient I become so deficient in that I must have fried chicken livers — but they only are even tolerable by me when I am craving them… and Chicken Express is one of the few places that carries fried chicken livers. They do a good job with them. Just a few bites and my cravings are over, but while I’m fulfilling the craving, they are more than adequate. The corn on the cob is nice and fresh and their chicken strips are REAL breast meat… really good when they’re fresh.

Easy and quick. Food was hot and fresh for lunch. I’ve been coming here for a couple months and haven’t had any issues.

Customer service is not very good, I think it’s terrible. But because I work close by, I usually stop by here sometimes since chicken is chicken. Love their lemonade. If you want ketchup you have to ASK for it. I find that I have to do that every time I order through the drive thru.

I usually like this chain. This location is a disappointment however. Chicken was over cooked, making the tenders not so tender. If you like breaded chicken jerky the this is the place for you.

First time I have eaten at Chicken Express and will be the last time as well. Understaffed, dirty and very poor customer service. The one cook can’t keep up during dinner and the two cashiers seem very unhappy to work at this place. Not very friendly but carry on loud conversations among the three of the. Now for the Chicken; very greasy and not much flavor. The breading and skin makes a hard shell while the meat underneath is full of grease. The mashed potatoes with gravy seemed like wallpaper paste. I give it one star because this app won’t let me give it no stars.

One of the better franchises I’ve eaten at. Beltline location. Employee’s service vary by turnover. Good management. Drive thru gets overwhelmed at time during busy hours but who doesn’t. They try their best. Becoming a regular.

Yea the drive thru could be better(much better) but DAMN if they don’t have the best chicken breast around! Do yourself a favor and WAIT for fresh out of the fryer… Also if your a gizzard fan… this IS the place! They cook em fresh if you ask!

Very sad. Dine in during prime dinner time. Tenders — physicallly half the size of any chicken tender place but for about the same price… :/ Fried catfish — not meaty, too salty, very whimpy corn breading. Mozzarella — same as any other. The side order comes with only two piece. Fried pickles — disgusted. Seem like it was refried. The pickle completely fried to death. The batter fell off the pickle. It tasted like old frying oil. Very greasy. Potatoes and gravy — sitting too long under heat lamps. There was a film ontop of the gravy and parts of exposed mashed potato was dried out. Corn nuggets — the highlight of our dinner. Good quantity of it and didn’t taste old or too greasy. Service: excellent! 5⁄5 Cleanliness: 2⁄5 Food: 1⁄5

Can’t speak to the competence of the drive-thru person, but the guy behind the counter inside was helpful and friendly. I was in the mood for some fried chicken livers, and I came to the right place. Since it was a day-of-the-week special, I got«six» livers, gravy, fries, a roll, and a large drink for $ 4.75 + tax. That’s an insane bargain. I put«six» in quotes, because you actually get a good deal more than that. The livers tend to clump together in the fryer, and they count the clumps, instead of individual livers. There are about a dozen other sides I could had instead of fries, and a biscuit instead of the roll. You even have your choice of cubed ice or the smaller«nugget» ice for your drink. And finally, the tables and chairs are not bolted to the floor. You can actually determine for yourself how far you are from the table. What a concept!

I am an organ meat lover and the chicken express does them justice. however, when it comes to fish they should just remove it from their menu. I paid three dollars for a single piece. ive been trying to get my wife to like their food but she is not a chicken fan of theirs. I bought one piece thinking I would bring a piece home and change her mind about the fish. I was so embarrassed when I brought it home it was so bloody hard. I mean hard! like someone had put it in a microwave too long. I brought the fish back and the manager chris gave me a refund. I brought it in a box of the family fries I bought and said to him the fries were horrible too. way tough and cold. he ignored my statement. I took my refund and left. for me personally what I order from there the gizzards and livers are always good if I ask for fresh ones. I asked for fresh and they dropped some for me after the day manager told them too. I forgot about the fries though. I usually ask for hot ones but forgot this time. well… I woke up in the middle of the night so sick I had to crawl to the bathroom and fell asleep sitting on the toilet. I woke so dehydrated from the illness. I just now feeling a bit better and jumping on Unilocal.oh I almost forgot. I paid about $ 17.00 for this enjoyment. that was for one person.

Muh Southern roots got a hankerin’ for some good ‘olé fried chicken. So we loaded up the truck and, with granny on top, drove to Belt Line Road. YUM! We got the«always fresh NEVERFROZEN and you can taste the difference» 8 chicken pieces — no rolls, no sides — for just $ 8. 9 gizzards for $ 5.19 — which came with a roll and side of white cream gravy. Fried okra was $ 3.89. Everything was FRESH and tasty. And the okra was«just right». Not too much breading, and fried to an extra crispy dark brown; not mushy. This Chicken Express location just opened in a former Burger King space. Their menu says that they are«home of the legendary Express Tenders® and Chicken E® Sweet Tea». We’ll have to try those the next time we are in this neck of the woods! Now it’s your turn to load up the truck and give these guys a try, Jethro!
