The Sleep Inn is adequate. The rooms are clean enough but small. The bathroom is small. The breakfast is okay.

Very glad we stayed here on the first day of our vacation — the comfort and quiet of the hotel made it possible to begin to relax. The bed was comfortable and we slept deeply. The complimentary breakfast was good — we really did not need any more food. Especially glad for the quiet location outside of Traverse City.

Typical chain hotel. Rooms a bit small. Typical breakfast provided. What I thought was quite odd is they don’t have roll away beds. But, considering room size, not sure where they would put it.

Staff outstanding. All expectations met upon arrival. Historic date — severe thunder storm. No electricity. Apparent that customer service is a priority. Apparent that procedure plan existed.

Overall the worst hotel experience I’ve had in my life. Staff was wonderful, at first. However, the front desk had issues with the card that the original booking was made on and the room had to be rebooked. Which was fine, until they charged more than the agreed upon price. When I refused to pay the additional charges the manager called and raised her voice at me telling me that if I wasn’t going to pay the charges I wouldn’t be welcome to stay another night. She then came pounding on my hotel room door telling me she called the state police and I had 15 minutes to leave the room. I’ve never committed a crime in my life nor do I plan to. Very immature and unprofessional. The manager informed me she would be charging me even more for the room as I left.

We had a wonderful stay here during our recent trip up north. Very clean and comfortable rooms; nice lobby with comfy lounge area; very friendly and helpful staff; quiet neighborhood. Great view of the bay. The breakfast bar, while nothing exceptional, was better than a lot of complimentary breakfasts, and the dining area, was kept scrupulously clean all morning. We didn’t use the pool or spa, but the area looked clean and neat. The location is especially convenient for travelers taking day trips to Grand Traverse Resort, the Torch Lake area and points east. If you choose to eat in or in the neighborhood, there’s a good pizzeria next door, a Moomer’s ice cream store nearby and an outstanding Oaxacan restaurant just down the street at Acme’s main crossroads. The hotel is also near several antique stores. Our only complaint about our stay was lack of room refrigerators, which put something of a damper on our foodie hunting/gathering; the hotel is also something of a jaunt to the downtown area: we didn’t mind, but if you want to be within walking distance to downtown TC, this isn’t the hotel for you. But we enjoyed our stay; and would recommend this Sleep Inn to others.

Had a great stay at this Hotel. It’s not in the Center of TVC action but close enough by car to all the major amenities. It’s a newer hotel so the rooms are spacious, SPOTLESS, décor & furniture spanking new. The exterior has plenty of grassy areas for your pooch. It’s immaculately cared for too. There are adirondack chairs for guest use at the berm overlooking US31& the Bay. The indoor pool is CLEAN& in good condition. There’s a nice sized jacuzzi adjoining the pool. There’s a nice exterior outdoor patio with tables, chairs & umbrellas off the large communal breakfast area. The staff was very competent, efficient, friendly & helpful. I got a weekly rate of $ 109/night for a Queen during the Summer. The bike path runs close by & the Bay is right across the street. There’s a public boat ramp &2 modest parks for relaxing on the beach. The Acme Township park has a Bathhouse with an exterior shower. There were benches, picnic tables & grills for use. There were some stone fire rings too for those who want to have a camp fire on the beach Tom’s Grocery is down the street. GREAT Pizza joint next door. There’s an Awesome Authentic casual Mexican joint up the street. McDonalds, Subway, Gas, Liquor within 2 blocks. There’s also bike & boat rentals nearby. I went to Crow About Coffee a 3 mins drive which was good. Don’s Drive-in is close by too! Great burgers, fries & the CHERRYSHAKES A MUST! Overall, VERYHAPPY with my stay. I will definitely stay here again anytime I am back in TVC. DEFINITELYRECOMMENDED!

I usually book Hampton Inn’s, but they were sold out for the weekend I was in town. I booked this place with a bit of trepidation because I had never heard of it or the chain. What a pleasant surprise! In contrast to some of the pictures on the internet, the bedding is duvet style — the kind that can be completely washed between every guest. The carpet in our room looked new. While we were there, they were doing one of their periodic deep cleans. Breakfast was GREAT. Everything from hardboiled eggs and yogurt, to make your own bacon-egg-biscuit, and cinnamon hot rolls. Even waffles. The coffee is available 24⁄7 and was tasty enough to meet my needs. I also appreciated the fact that they didn’t seem to run out of food over the course of the morning — they kept replenishing. The lobby is quite nice and provided a nice — albeit small — place for my family to hang out. The breakfast room is open all day as well for another place to sit. They have both a small fitness room on site, but also offer up passes to a local gym. My only suggestion would be to add a few sets of hand weights to the on site gym. I never checked out the pool area as I didn’t think to bring a swimsuit in November ;) The front desk/management/cleaning staff were all delightful. I was especially pleased that they had upgraded all of us to third floor rooms, putting a good separation between our rooms and the families with children that were in town for a hockey tournament. Made for a great silent night. No unexpected fees either, wifi is free. Great place, great people.
